They always sell too many tickets far beyond their capacity. It's 2.5 stars, that should've been enough for me to not go. I made a mistake.

The resort was extremely overcrowded after we were told prior to booking our tickets that they "regulate" the amount of people allowed on the mountain. The staff was less than helpful and refused to answer questions. The head of HR (tall brunette) verbally harassed multiple skiers and snowboarders from my personal experience. The employees were friendly and helpful, while still enforcing masks and social distancing. The ski school instructors were fun and nice and the kids learned a lot. This place is not observing ANY covid guidelines. On their website they encouraged to buy online because they had only a certain capacity of people they were allowing. This was 100% not true. The place was teeming with people. It was like covid didn't exist there. They sell too many lift tickets for the size of their resort, covid or not. We thought this would be a good, socially distant activity but it's clear that they are not limiting their capacity and this was not what I would consider a low risk activity. ~40% of people are not wearing masks. Additionally, there was absolutely no regulation of the number of people inside of the buildings. This place is covid central. If that weren't enough, the lift lines (which are not/cannot be socially distanced because of the sheer number of people) take 30+ minutes to get up for a 5 minute ride down. It's not worth it. Some of the staff are very nice. Some are real jerks. If you're looking to catch covid and spend forever waiting in lines, be sure to come here. read more

I can't believe no one has written a review for Beech! By far one of the best and biggest ski resorts in the area. We lucked out and went following the best snow of the season, 8 inches! Because of that the entire front of the mountain was open and the conditions were great (for North Carolina). Let's face it, North Carolina could never compare with skiing out west or even the northeast but this was as good as it gets for this area. Beech has the capacity to make it's own snow and does anytime it can. The bad part is that when your skiing and get hit in the face with snow making mist it freezes you to the bone. Overall the mountain seemed well maintained. We brought our 18 month old and used the mountain's nursery. I must say I was a little nervous about this but it worked out great. Lisa, who was working, was kind and sweet and put us at ease. My boy took a 2 hour nap and was given a snack. For $7/hr this was a bargain. He seemed to enjoy his time there and loved the murals on the walls. We got to ski have have some baby-free time on our vacation. Now for the cons: Lifts and runs were not all clearly marked Trail maps were not readily available Staff in the lodge and on the mountain were indifferent and at times rude (one lift operator sneered at us for being too far ahead and making the lift stop momentarily) The lodge is dated and smells musty The locker room stinks like sweat and cigarettes One more high point was that the staff in the rental area was helpful and friendly. Disappointed is an understatement. First off, the parking was a nightmare. We sat waiting in traffic for over an hour, only to get to the parking lot and find a rude traffic cop screaming at us that parking was full and to turn around. It was so unorganized and chaotic. Once we finally got to the lifts, we had to wait in line for about 45 mins each time to take the lift up. Wayyyyyy over crowded and honestly scary to ski down with a million people on the slopes, small kids included. Food lines were so long we couldn't even eat all day. It was just a horrible experience. When I first got to Beech Mountain, I was like WHAT IS THIS. The slopes were dirty... some of the lifts were downright archaic. The only thing fancy about this place was the price tag on the lift tickets. But I remembered, this ski season has not been great across the country due to the lack of snow, and I had made a 5-hour drive out there from Atlanta... so I pushed away my inner Negative Nancy and started seeing the good things. The slopes are wide open, making them beginner-friendly and fun. I saw a lot of ballsy beginners on the more difficult slopes, but most of them were skiers (the skier-to-snowboarder ratio was higher than other places in NC/east coast) so they didn't do as much damage to the snow. The lifts were very slow, low, and flat in the loading/unloading zone, once again making them friendly to beginners. The rest area, locker room, rental place, and parking lot all had very easy access. The staff was incredibly friendly and easy-going. This past weekend was Winterfest, so there were several events throughout the day, including a "Bathing Beauty" contest where you could ogle young girls in flamboyant bikinis skiing down the bunny hill and a pretty entertaining rail jam with a 1st place prize of $1,000. It was all pretty low-key and not that competitive. I'd go back if there's a lot of snow and if it's during the week ($30 lift ticket during the week vs a whopping $60 on weekends). read more

Being a snowboarder in the Atlanta area is somewhat limiting of choices to get some shredding time in. Either wait to book a trip up north, midwest or far west. The closest decent mountains us Atlantan's have is usually 3+ hours away. My friends and I skip on the closest mountain, Cataloochee. Or Crap-a-loochee is what I like to call it. Especially once you go out to some of the mountains of Denver, why settle for a foot hill. At least go to a bigger foot hill and less ice. So with the different trails and decent park terrain, I definitely prefer hitting up Ski beech vs Sugar Mountain. I especially like the Oz trail which captures the feeling of a portion of the wide trails of a mountain ski resort out midwest. There's plenty of decent restaurants around the mountain and lodging. I would definitely recommend bringing a vehicle that is either AWD/4WD drive as sometimes during opening the roads leading to the parking spots aren't always cleared. Always check the weather conditions prior to driving the distance and snow reports on ski beeches website. Happy shredding! read more

We bought 24 two day lift tickets. Half the lifts weren't running. It was cold and we asked them to light the fire pits for the parents and the administration said no. This was my second time visiting Beech Mountain and while the first time was a bust (first time skiing, in March....not the best conditions), this time was AMAZING. We snowboarded and got our gear from a shop around the resort. We got our lift tickets ahead of time, which I highly suggest because they have been selling out quickly. Saturday was busy and the wait time for a lift were a bit lengthy, but well worth it. Perfect conditions as it was snowing all day. They were super on top of mask wearing in the lift lines, which was a plus. The slopes weren't very congested until the ends, where people were congregated in groups and to get in lift lines. Sunday was less busy and lift wait times were significantly less than Saturday. We went to the tippy top of the mountain and got a drink at 5506' Skybar (amazing BTW - especially after a good snow) before doing a few runs. Great spot to watch skiers & boarders speed down the slopes! We will definitely be back again and again...and again! read more

First time I've ever gone to ski or snowboard, however this place was definitely a blast. We arrived there about an hour before our rental time which was 5-9, however this was the most difficult part of the trip. Trying to get all of your ski gear is a NIGHTMARE. You start by checking in at the rental counter and then you have to head downstairs to get your ski gear. Before you get your gear you have to fill out a waiver which is no big deal. After filling out your waiver you practically have to fight the other customers to get your stuff. You get your boots from the counter which shouldn't be as hard as it looks, but it is. And then you have to turn around to get your skis which for each customer is a long and tedious process, just for you to guess if they did it right. Had to take my skis back twice because they did not size them up correctly twice. Then if you want to get your ski pants or "bibs" is what they call them you gotta hope the previous renters leave on time so you can get a size that fit you. And by the time you've got all your gear you're an hour into your rent time. But that's the worst of the whole trip. Once you get outside they're are three open hills. Your beginner hill where you can either pay a reasonable fee for the place to teach you how to ski or just wing it yourself. It's pretty nice spot with the conveyor belt taking you to the top and sliding down in about 5 seconds and you can learn the basics in no time. Next is your intermediate hill, you ride the first (gondola?) up to about a quarter of the way up the hill and just ski right back down. If you don't really know what you're doing this can get difficult, but it's a fun way down and you can get some pretty good speed. Next is the top of the hill and this is not for the beginners. You'll spend more time sliding down on your butt or face planting if you don't know what to do. And be careful if you wear corrective lenses as there is snow constantly blowing in your face and it will literally freeze your glasses. All in all was a very fun trip and the family is pretty sore. Definitely worth the money and coming back when more experienced. read more

All in all. Not a bad spot. The bathrooms were redone very nicely. The one main lift is fairly quick. So that's a huge plus! Being that it's 2021 I expected at least a few (if not more) EV (electric vehicle) charging spots. Especially since they're kinda out in the sticks. We almost decided not to come up from Florida because there would be no where to charge the car. Luckily we were able to find an air B&B that had a charger. The parking lot was very icy. We saw multiple slipping while walking to/from their cars. All in all this was a good spot to bring the family for a days. read more

Beech Mountain resort was awful and they don't even care. We arrived early for our 10am tubing. The area was packed so they had us park in overflow parking. We waited appx 30 minutes for the shuttle to get back to the resort and finally arrived around 11am with our tubing session ending at 11:45. Tubing was ok for our 7 year old but nowhere worth $30 something dollars. There was no one working the area and only showed up when it was time to tell us to leave. The restrooms were disgusting and smelly. We tried to buy water and the card machines were down so we left with no food or drink. We waited another 45 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up to go back to our car. Then we found a $50 ticket on our window when we arrived. There appears to be no management or organization at Beech Mountain Resort or in the town. Everything is non-refundable and they don't care. read more

this place is just TERRIBLY coordinated. as far as I could tell, they have no max limits allowed on the slopes, allowing people to buy as many lift tickets as they want, even when the overflow parking lot (which is two miles away, found that out the hard way) fill to capacity. There are two places to get food, one with a two hour wait to be seated and another where you wait in an hour line for school cafeteria food. they need some serious reforms. read more

We went to go tubing and (1) not enough tubes for the amount of people for the allotted time (2) I didn't even go down one time because of the lack of tubes and then because watching everyone else go 50 feet and then have to walk all the way down from the lack of preparation by the resort (3) terrible costumer service (no reimbursement or discount offered), just told nothing we can do. There were probably 20 of us that went to talk to a manager. Paid $78 for NOTHING and that's not counting my sisters and their families. read more

I've been to a couple of different ski resorts but my favorite thing about beech mountain is how it feels like a little village when you arrive. Instead of just one big building they have multiple buildings for coffee, beer, food, etc. The fire pit and ice skating rink in the middle just puts me in a good mood. It's so cozy! The first time we came, we brought our ski and boarding gear from another rental place. This past time, we rented from the beech mountain rentals and I immediately regretted it. We wasted an hour of slope time standing in line for our skis. And the layout of the building was not helping. For some reason it was just a frustrating giant cluster of people. So for the future I will plan that into our plans or possibly just rent elsewhere, again. My other statement isn't their fault, but I just want to help anyone that is reading these reviews planning a trip. The comments about needing 4wd and possibly chains is stated like a broken record when you book a stay in the mountains and you see signs at the bottom of steep paths. But you truly need to take it seriously. It was not snowing as we were heading up to the resort. It started snowing heavily while we were skiing. We actually sat in a line trying to leave the resort for over 2 hours. People were having trouble getting down the mountain so we had to wait for a salt truck to come salt the roads and we had to wait for it to melt. Nobody could go anywhere. It was a nightmare. Going back down was VERY scary. I was very glad to be in a truck with good tires and someone who is comfortable behind the wheel. It's also a lot scarier at night than during the day. But people NEED to hear this and know this when planning their trip up the mountain. We will continue to come back to beech mountain and create memories! read more

This is the PERFECT spot for a brewery. After tubing for 2 hours in single digit temps the only thing I could think about was warming up with a beer! They also had wifi which was much needed as I had no service. The brewery is small, but has a lot of nice touches with brewery art/decorations, etc. It is all wood inside and definitely makes you feel warmer than you probably are. I am assuming they are a new brewery since they only had a few different beer options of their own available (it looked like they had a few taps not in use yet) and didn't have a Yelp page. I tried the Scotch Ale which was pretty great. The glass it came in was definitely unique as well. You can tell their brewing system is very small scale as they opted for the smaller, plastic brewing equipment. I was super happy we saw this place though!! read more

Terrible experience. BMSR was horribly understaffed. Arrived at 9am. BEGAN SKIIING AT 11:40a Ticket kiosk VERY SLOW. Stood ~45 mins. The Equipment Rental Gulag Death March lasted or 1.5 HOURS. Stood in line with hot, disappointed, paying customers. Step 1: Stand in super slow line to pay $$$ for lift tickets. Step 2: Stand in unbelievably long, slow line before allowed stand in lift lines. This overcrowded rental equipment line CRAWLED through a very cramped equipment rental space. A heart-killing WASTEland of hopelessness. We spent over 2.5 hours in SLOW LINES before skiing! We enjoyed our ski for ~2+ hours. Then we had to leave. Q To a lift operator: "Could we get some grace? We couldn't ski till 11:40am due to the excessively long lines." A: "Talk to my manager." Asked ticket kiosk agents the same question. A: "No. Talk to admin: Go up and over and through..." So, we're dressed for the slopes. We had on excessively clunky boots. BMSR's answer was to walk to yet another distant space in their facility to ask administration for a discount which had been handed off twice? Went back to our rental where I had time to write this review. BMSR Impressions: - Several staff wore no name tags. Need directions or help...? This gave the impression of uncaring staff. "Don't have a name tag on? Won't be bothered by pesky customers asking the same stupid questions." - BMSR was woefully understaffed for one of the highest volume days of the season. Why? - Why does BMSR not consider the atmosphere for customers forced to stand in the Rental Equipment Death March for 90 minutes? No music; no screens; no distractions; NO PHONE RECEPTION; NO WiFi!! Paying customers stand like sardines to swelter, stink, and be stuck: Imagine that for 1.5 hours: ~100+ people, moving VEEERY SLOW. - Other Low Rent Indications: A clock at the end of one of the ski lifts is broken. (We only utilized one lift.) Is it not important for skiers to be aware of time? Accessing phones can difficult with ski clothing, so an external clock would be helpful. However, a broken clock is a disservice and often actively causes confusion. How long had this clock been broken? Given this experience, that clock has likely been out of service for years. This screams: "We do not think about the BMSR experience from a customer's perspective." - Signage: Whereas BMSR has several signs - more signage is needed. One often needs to ask BMSR personnel for direction - but they may not have their name tags on... Hmmm. - Rent or Pay online?... Sorta... Tried to do a 1/2 day online for the next day... option not provided. Why does BMSR not automate and digitize the experience? Wouldn't it be helpful if customers could fill out rental forms online? Manage their lift times online? There MUST be a way to provide an online, expedited experience, but BMSR is apparently very behind the times. Example: Customers must fill out a paper slip for each skier. Paper slips are very subject to loss, getting soaked and wear and tear. Nearly every skier has ~15 pockets with ski apparel... which pocket did I put that small slip in? A Positive Note: One very helpful young man went through a portable filing cabinet and find a copy of one of our missing paper slips. Everywhere BMSR gave this impression: We're OLD SCHOOL, SLOW and Clunky. - SAFETY: Noted several unforgiving objects IE: Light poles & snow blowing equipment which appeared dangerously near to the path of the average skier. Many had no safety cushioning on the sides where errant skiers would be most likely to impact. One Conclusion: Customers with lots of experience (and TONS of time) can avoid many expensive, careless pitfalls and gaps. Not those of us who are relatively new. My gut sense takeaway: BMSR is happy to take your money and send you into meat grinder-like lines for hours. Customers are treated like a number. BMSR does not appear to see their business from the customer's perspective. Customers are cattle, customers are $$ - and on their own. Overall, the staff give a 6.5/10 impression. It appears painfully obvious is that BMSR management/ownership's could vastly improve customer experience by investing in mobile accessible automation / digital platforms to make access to the slopes much more streamlined. Avoid this place if you have any concern about COVID-19! They have reduced parking and are requiring masks indoors but they are not managing lift lines or any lines that exist outside. Waited in huge lines with people packed together, many not wearing masks. $72 for my lift ticket and I made 1 run. The rest of my group of 8 managed to make 4 runs in a 8 hour day. The average lift wait was over an hour. They say they reduced the number of tickets they are selling but it all seems to be lip service. Imagine the typical ski resort cafeteria of packed people and reduce capacity to 50%. The picture you get is still people crowded together. Just don't go. Wait for next year. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not plan on going to this shithole unless you are a sheep that likes to wear your mask. They do not let anyone get on the lift unless you have your diaper on. If you do not they will kick you out and have you escorted to your truck by police officers who do not wear their own masks. I will not be back. If the mask policy is mandated would you like to explain why masks are not required to be worn when purchasing a lift ticket? That's the first red flag, you don't require mask when handing you guys money however when you attempt to enjoy what was paid for suddenly they are enforced? Also can you explain why they are not required while INSIDE the brewery whether in line or paying once again. Can you also explain why your officers on duty were not required to wear their masks? I wouldn't recommend attempting this place for Snow Tubing on a holiday weekend. They don't pre-sell tickets, which is a nightmare when traveling with kids. My family and I arrived at 8:15am and waited in line for 25 minutes before we were told they were sold out of tickets for the 10am slot and wouldn't sell tickets for the noon slot until 10am. We were hoping to kill some time and keep the kids occupied by grabbing breakfast at the resort, but the restaurant and all the shops in the village were closed until 10am. We walked up to the cafeteria to grab a coffee and got back in line at 9:15am and waited 75 more minutes only to hear that they were once again sold out. The kids were cold, bored, restless, and tired of waiting, so we gave up trying to go tubing and went ice skating instead. They lasted about 20 minutes and were over it, so we left. Next time we'll buy online tickets for Hawksnest in advance or bring a sled and let the kids use the free sledding hill next to the Beech Mountain Visitor Center. read more

Beech is a solid ski resort. Everything that you should expect out of a North Carolina resort. They've got a decent amount of parking but make sure to show up early if you want a good spot. It's sometimes worth the extra drive up from Sugar if you are looking for a less crowded area. Though that is not me saying that Beech doesn't get crowded. I really like that they have half days running from the morning to 1 pm. I don't like that sugar doesn't have those kind of time slots. So advantage Beech. Beech has a great line up of runs and many lifts, that saying they are operating all of them.. They have something for every level of difficulty and a nice terrain park. The workers all were informative and nice. The layout of the resort is pretty good though it took awhile to actually find the locker rooms because of lack of signs. read more

VERY POOR MANAGEMENT. Throughout my day at BMSR, there was a major lack of signage to inform visitors where to go, I stood in one line with many people for over 15 minutes only to find out the line was for lift tickets only, even though the placard beside the window listed all services prices. Then when HALF of us left that line to walk upstairs for ski rentals, once again no signage to show anyone the way. Once I found where to get from another patron, I knew this wasn't going to be a pleasant day. Like many others I had to ask guest where do I go. I found the line with 50+ people and stood in it. About 30 minutes later a BMSR employee walked up and announced, "If you are getting snow boards you are in the wrong line." About 10 people got out of line. I thought, how mad (or relieved) they must be. When I finally reached the entrance to the ski rental building, there were about 40 people inside, not including employees, non of which were socially distancing, and the majority not wearing masks. It gets better, I saw the QR code to enter my data online for my rental skis. But, because my cell phone service doesn't reach this remote area AND there is no WIFI code from BMSR near the QR code, I couldn't enter my data online. Instead I had to use one of BMSR computers and mouse (That about 50 people used before me with NO DISINFECTING I observed while I was there). IN all, 2 hours after I made my purchase, and 1 1/2 hours of my ski lift ticket time was used trying to get my rental skis my frustration continued. To be fair, the workers in the ski rental area were working their butts off. They were simply under staffed. The management decided it is more important to have the number of people take your money, than the ratio of people that provide the services patrons have paid for. Then the lines for the lifts. There was NOTHING to tell skiers where to go. Multiple times I heard people asking "Is this the line for..." No signs to tell people which line was for which open lifts and no employees of BMSR to direct the traffic. Beyond frustrating and I heard this from many skiers. In summary, the lack of visual signs to explain to paying customers what is expected and the lack of allocating resources to where they are needed indicated the management is below substandard. read more

My bf and I are here with my roommate and her bf. We were falling down in front of the lift to get on (I was a little nervous, I've recently snowboarded but not here) and they had to stop the lift and made us feel really bad for falling down, I cried from embarrassment. The workers didn't tell us the lift was coming towards me as I was fallen over and the couple in front of us were talking bad about us with encouragement from the employees. It just made me really discouraged, especially after shelling out $60 to come here (I'm in college, that's a lot for me.) once in the lift we were confused there was no bar, as when I snowboarded in California the workers had a button to press to release the bar onto me. A worker yelled from below the lift "put down your bar!" And my boyfriend yelled back, "sorry, thank you! They didn't say anything back there sorry!" And the man replied, "they shouldn't have to it's common sense." Again making me really discouraged. The place is beautiful and pricing better than other places but the workers really need to be considerate of nervous snowboarders and work in their nasty attitudes because I about cried all the way down the mountain of embarrassment. I'm really considering asking for a refund as they continued to treat us like we are stupid. We just hadn't been to this resort yet. We made our own fun but I would have liked nicer people, I didn't think lessons were necessary I can get down the mountain fine but the crowd that comes here will run into you and keep going so be careful read more

12/27/20, 1800 hrs operation tubing on Beech Mountain. Your mission if you choose to take it, get on the escalator of death, venture to the top of mount doom, grab a cradle of death, and sled to your death. So we took a group of six kids to Beech Mountain tonight to go tubing at 6pm. Kids were amped as it was their first tubing session of our winter trip. As our kids went up to the top, we began to realize that the bottom of the slope was extremely icy. Reality hit when we observed a grown man slide all the way to the top of the back stop (which is a snow/ice quarter pipe at the bottom of the tubing hill). This grown man slid all the way to the top and appeared to go over the top, but at the very end of his ride he stood up at the top of the back stop and appeared ok. Then my nine year old daughter came down approximately four minutes later on her second time down, slid all the way to the top of the backstop, slid off the top and down the back side and crashed into a wooden Beech Mountain sign. She, my wife, and myself were petrified as my wife and I went running to the back side of the back stop to find her resting against the wooden sign with pure terror written all over her face. We ended up asking the sixteen year old employee at the bottom of the hill to shut down the ride as it was apparently two icy. He looked at me as if I had three heads. I informed him that the gentlemen almost went over the top of the back stop and my daughter had gone over and there was significant chance that someone was going to get hurt. He then spoke the well informed words of a sixteen year old employee, "what do you want me to do?" I asked if he had a radio and he said, "yeah." I then said you need to radio to the the employee at the top of the hill and have him stop anyone from going down. He once again looked at me as if I was growing a set of testicles off my forehead. The employee then walked off, I grabbed the other five kids and left, thankfully with no injuries. Completely inept staff and no refund even though each kid had two runs of the tubing hill with a total of about 12 minutes spent there. #Beechmountainisrunbyidiots read more

Let me say: we, as Floridians beach bums who have never been to a ski resort, found this place to be just fine. I know if you ski regularly or have been to aspen, etc this place will probably not work for you (based on reviews I read and conversations with friends), but if you are coming from south Florida, or want to "try out" the skiing/snowboarding scene, then I think this place is great. Our boys (13 and 10) had never seen snow...we were totally out of our comfort zone. We registered them for the Burtons Snowboarding all day camp and we found it to be safe, organized, fun, effective, and reasonably priced. I felt like my boys were safe all day and the instructor was great. By the end of the day, they knew all the basics and then some. So if I were just rating that, it would be 5 stars. However, the lines and overall organization of how/where you rent equipment and buy lift tickets....shockingly bad. So my suggestion after being there a few days over the holiday break: get there early, like 8:30 to rent, pay, etc. That will alleviate any issues. I found the place to be super "user friendly" for those of us who had never done this sort of thing before. By the end of our trip, my husband & 13 year old were doing all the advanced slopes on boards, and my 10 year was comfortable with all the intermediate stuff. DO NOT RESERVE ANYTHING ONLINE!! I reserved a snowboard online to rent for the day just for them to run out in line. Absolutely ridiculous.

To qualify to work here do you have to be extremely rude?? The staff are horrible. Abigail, who was working the ticket booth seemed like she was having the worst day of her life, didn't look at me once, no smiling, barely talked to me. I even tried asking her questions but she straight up just wouldn't answer them or would speak at a volume 2. She really pissed me off. I spent $500 at this place, I expect a warm inviting welcome from the staff, is that so hard to ask for? The bartenders at the top of the mountain were straight up RUDE. Just yelling at you, getting frustrated and hating life. The only nice employees I spoke with was a female bartender at the brewery and Ray. I just don't understand how these employees are trained to be so nasty. Management, work on your employees attitude because one day they're gonna tick off the wrong person. read more

Great place for snow skiing. Resort has upgraded alot of their snow guns. People are very friendly. They have a new tubing and the new bar at the top of the ski lifts and at the bottom are great. A nice fire pit in the village. read more

The best part of this resort was leaving. Horrible customer service and unfriendly staff.

I took my family to Ski this weekend for the first time. I spent well o we $600. The slopes were so packed you could not practice on the bunny slope. The lines for the other slopes we only got one run in before it was time to leave. The worst part was the staff. Only 3 people that worked there was nice. One kid working in the ski rentals shop was so combative with customer. He was actually threatening people. Masks are required which is fine, but there were so many people in there you could not hear what the staff was asking and they could not hear you. This one kid that worked there would stop helping his customer to scream at another customer to put their mask on. We explained we were but also trying to answer questions. He would then make rude comments or threaten people that they would not be able to ski. He was doing this to everyone. Some customers had to get rough with him and he did not stop with the rude unnecessary comments. I did not pay $600 and drive hours for abuse. I'll never go back. read more

Yelp only allows 5,000 characters for me to explain how awful this place is, which is not nearly enough to include details about everything that went wrong during my visit. You can see my full review on trip advisor, since they allowed me enough space to share my entire experience. Long in the short nothing about this place makes we want to return. I shared my poor experience we a member of manager and was told and I quote: "Well they are call expectations because thats what you expect and that is not always what you actually get". Matt (manager) and Dean (head of ski school) who work in the ski school office have absolutely no business working in the customer service industry. They booth need to learn some general manners when it comes to dealing with customers and most importantly figure out that simply saying sorry you had a bad experience often goes along way to make people happier. ***WHAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT**** 1. Weekend pass's are way overpriced. 2. Add functional wi-fi in the lodge seriously its 2013! 3. The food is awful, make it eatable or don't serve any. 4. Revamp the entire ski school experience its awful. 5. Be honest on your website. When you say you have 15" of base snow, I should not arrive and find grass in the middle of trails. If you don't offer a program anymore remove it from your website. 6. Educate your snow makers to run the snow guns on the side of the trail that will result in the wind putting snow on the trails, not off the trail. 7. Fix the lifts, I shouldn't have spent 15 minutes stuck on a lift with a snow gun pointed directly at my chair. 8. Last but not least, if a lift isn't even there don't put in on the trail map. 9. Teach your management staff that sometimes people just want you to say sorry for the bad experience. read more
