Couldn't even get a price quote beyond $100 bucks roundtrip for transport. Unbelievable! You have to know how much something is going to cost. Previously, over a decade, I have boarded my cats with Catnapszzz. My cats loved it, and were well adjusted when they came back. It was great. Plus, Catnapszzz had reasonable transport from Northeaster MA, which just made it that much easier to get the beasties up there. I'm rather floored I can't even ask how much boarding 3 cats costs these days, and how rude the woman on the phone was about my questions. So much for customer-focused. Unbelievable.

Her experience as a vet tech is invaluable; she's so observant and always notices when something seems off with one of my pets. Her communication is outstanding, and I can always trust her judgment. Last year, she even caught that my dog was sick and was ready to take her to the vet when it looked like a family member might not be able to. We agreed on a day and time for me to bring my cat and the day before she asked if I could come at 9:00am instead of 9:30am because she was heading out for 2 hours at 9:15!! WHAT?? She thought nothing of having me bring my cat who had never been there before, shove him in a crate and the leave right after he gets there for 2 hours? The whole point of me bringing him was for her to meet him, see how he does. When I asked if it might be better to bring him later that day when she would be around, she said no I'm having company!! Again WHAT?? How much attention and time was she planning on spending with my cat who would probably have been frightened as can be. I would NEVER bring my cat there and I'm so happy that I learned what she's truly all about beforehand. Looks can be deceiving!!

I took Sammie to the Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital at almost 9:00pm at night. The staff were kind and helpful. They checked in with me for every step of the exam and procedures. Ultimately, it was decided that Sammie's quality of life would not be good, so the ultimate decision had to be made. The Staff were so understanding and helpful during the process. Even though the result was not what I wanted, I felt that the Staff were professional, caring, and helpful through out the whole experience. I appreciate the Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital and recommend them to any pet owner. (Hopefully with better results in most cases.)
