So this trip I asked him to bring us to the shop so we could pick some up to take home with us. Kollette was wonderful. We got Mac nuts, dark chocolate Mac nuts and dark chocolate coffee beans. After we left I had wished we had gotten more so my son stopped by and got us the big 5 pound bag of nuts to bring home with us also. These are all organic and the nuts are dehydrated. Incredible flavor and crunch. I highly recommend that if you are in the Kona area it is so worth the trip to stop by and purchase your products and gifts here. We didn't buy coffee there and I am now wishing we had. I was just so focused on getting the macadamia nuts. They are Wonderful people providing great quality products. So cute and perfect for gifts for the family! I loved a lot of the fragrances. Very clean and natural scents--no chemicals here! We ended up buying a few candles for stocking stuffers, since Christmas was just around the corner. Everyone loved them! These also burn clean, so no black smoke burning off. We were able to chat with the owner for a few minutes and he was very friendly too. It was nice hearing more about the candles and his story. They're very easy to take on the plane and he'll wrap them up for you. Definitely stop by if you're in the area and stock up on gifts.

We received such a warm welcome from Terri & Carl that we immediately felt like we knew what the Aloha Spirit was about! It was a great way to start our vacation. You truly have so many choices of where to shop when you come to the Big Island but after walking into Sunset Traders you won't need or want to shop anywhere else! They helped us find everything we needed without ever making us feel pressured to shop. They gave us our space but were close enough when we had questions. This store has everything! I wish I had taken more photos but I was just so excited bc who wants to waste time shopping at a bunch of different stores on vacation when they can find it all in one place? The variety ranged from the cute Christmas ornaments with Santa & turtles all the way to handmade, beautiful one of a kind jewelry. Sunset Traders has items for every budget too! Stop in & grab a few postcards or buy a quality shirt that won't fall apart after a few washes. I also think it's a great idea to support local small business owners!
