I cannot recommend this place more highly. This is now my go to place to relax and unwind.

We did receive a partial refund for her services but you can not redo someone's special day. Let me preface this by saying she is very friendly this is not a personal attack just my personal experience. 1. She arrived late on wedding day 2. We had to ask where vendors were 3. Grooms lunch was late 4. She did not direct photographers 5. We had previously asked for assistance with clean up during cocktail hour and after dinner that was not given. 6. She spent a good amount of time behind the bar. 7. We found out we were her first ever wedding as it was happening. Which should have been discussed before we hired her. 8. I did not see her for most of the evening. Nor did the guests. I missed so much of the wedding because I was acting partially as coordinator. This is time with my family and sister I can't get back, I am truly disappointed and we did not receive day of planning services as described. Had we known that this was her first wedding we would have never proceeded with hiring her through the venue and would have found an outside professional.

This little inn is perched at the top of a hill just far enough away from town to feel like you are way out in the country, but close enough that you could drive down the road for a midnight taco if you're feeling peckish. The house itself smells of lavender and whatever gourmet delight the owner has cooked up today. It is warmly decorated without being garishly "country," and the room we stayed in (Sage) was very comfortable with it's high ceilings and friendly colors. The shower in our room was spacious, although the shower head was mounted quite low (if I had to pick at nits, this would be my only complaint). The bed was wide and soft (I should caution you about the risk of slipping into a mid-afternoon coma if you lay on it after a big meal). We signed up for the cooking class with Pamela Murski and it was an absolute delight. She is so friendly and fun to be with. The instruction was very low-pressure, as she walked us through the preparation of a 5 course meal, supplying great advice on technique and plenty of interesting stories about the food, the (very fresh!) ingredients, and her experiences. The food was amazing, and for this one day, it was easy to forget about the cares of the big bad world out there and focus on good food and the people you are with. I think that is exactly why we came - and I wish we didn't have to leave.

Pamela is an excellent hostess and she makes sure that you have everything you need. We found this B&B when we were looking for an elopement package. We are having a big wedding next year but wanted to do something just for the two us before then. Pamela ensured everything was taken care of for the ceremony and that our day was special. We didn't have to worry about anything, we got married by the gazebo, drank wine on the porch and ate an outstanding meal prepared by Pamela. Dinner consisted of homemade soup, Sheppard's pie made with lamb, venison and ground pork with twice roasted mashed potatoes on top and for desert we had an apple pie sort of dish with Blue Bell ice cream on top. They offered fire pits and hot tubs that were great We loved: Complimentary hot tea and coffee. Refrigerators in the rooms and glassware/cups for your own bevies. They offer games (if you're into a little cards or something with the ladies) and music throughout the property (ends at 10pm). Very comfortable beds and pillows with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Pro tips: You could bring stuff to cook breakfast and use the full kitchen in the main house. There aren't many breakfast options in Round Top. You can also book the chef ahead of time to cook for you! Some rooms don't have very good coverings in the windows so if privacy is important, try room 7! Great location and private. Very quiet! We never heard a thing from any other guests. There are no hangers, so if you have something to hang bring some to use with the coat hooks they provide.

The cabins and homes are all renovated beautifully - granite, tile, etc. The owners are wonderful people who are there to help you with anything you need. There is a common area for rent that has an outdoor fire place, grills, tables, etc. Bad: Not much was bad - there are bugs, but then again, they supply you with all of the bug repellent products you can think of. You'll want to make your own food - it's a hike to a decent meal. This place was great - you won't regret staying here. It'll become our family's regular ranch to rent.
