I called and spoke with Barb Bailey in Sales. She was so very helpful, kind and polite. I told her what I was "hoping for". Instead of telling me to look in the website and figure it out for myself (like three of my local dealers), Barb said that she would get back to me. After dealing with my local sales people, I didn't get my hopes up. Quickly snd efficiently, Barb called me back a short time later and said she had the perfect truck for me. It had everything I wanted and even MORE! To top it off, the cost was many thousands less than local dealers wanted for a "basic" truck. We made arrangements for me to come the following Saturday for a test drive and possible purchase. There was absolutely no "pressure". Barb was actually working in my behalf which is a first for me when car shopping. What was I walking into? "No pressure".....I have never seen this in any car dealer. I test drove the Dodge Ram Truck and immediately knew it was my dream vehicle! Again.....no pressure!!! I decided to go for it! With a genuine smile, Barb helped me through the process. She is such a pleasant person!!! I had the pleasure to meet John Beemiller, the Finance Manager. Again...ZERO pressure and so VERY kind and helpful. We got the finance stuff taken care of very easily and painlessly. Hmmmm.....Two out of two people were to nice to be true..... Then I met Erik Shaffer, Sales Manager. He graciously thanked me for my purchase but his main intent was to thank me for my work during the COVID crisis. What a nice gentleman! I dealt with three people here. EVERYONE was caring, "genuinely" nice and treated me like a friend. This place is NOT your typical car dealership by any means. This Sales team sets the bar for the way things should be in car sales! It doesn't get any better!

    [Experience with vehicle repair and car rental.]…read more My car broke down on the turnpike, and this was the ONLY place in Bedford that was A. open, B. worked on motors, and C. also rented cars. 3 hours from home, and 2 hours from my destination, I was stranded. the folks here were so kind and understanding of my situation. I was able to easily rent a car to get where I needed to go, and I would leave my car at the auto shop while they repaired it so that upon my return, I could return the rental and drive my car home. The rental process was easy, and, although I would have driven anything at that point, the rental was in great condition. The staff kept me in the loop with regards to the (bad) updates on my car throughout the duration of its stay, via phone calls and texts. When it became apparent that my car would NOT be fixed by the time my excursion was done, they worked out payment over the phone, and provided answers to all my questions. The car needed a new engine, a new radiator and a new coolant system. When it was time to me to pick my car up, the only available day was one where they were closed. They left my car for me in the lot, and I was able to get it with an extra pair of keys. I am NOT car-savvy, and I was in a really tough situation. These guys were professional but empathetic, and really held my hand through the whole thing. which, as a not-car-savvy person, was exactly what I needed. And if they weren't so far away, I'd absolutely go to them again.

They were unable to diagnose or repair the issue in-house and subsequently sent the vehicle to the nearest dealership. At the time, I was expected to work near Detroit, which became impossible due to the breakdown. I was provided a loaner vehicle--a Chevy Impala with worn tires during winter conditions--despite the possibility that I could be required to drive several hours on short notice. For several days, I received no updates regarding the status or location of my vehicle. After initiating multiple follow-ups, I was repeatedly told, "I don't know," until I escalated the issue to management. Matt, the manager, was professional and communicative and ultimately confirmed where the vehicle had been sent. I had a safe in the trunk of my vehicle containing valuable items. Unfortunately, I was unable to retrieve them because I was unaware of the vehicle's whereabouts. To avoid further delays, I personally contacted the dealership and received clear information within minutes--something Blue Knob had been unable to provide after multiple days. By that point, the condition of the loaner vehicle required new tires for basic safety during a 5-6 hour drive. Once my vehicle was finally repaired, I was still required to wait for Blue Knob to retrieve it before I could do the same. During my visit to the service center, I overheard staff making disrespectful remarks regarding my request for safe tires on the loaner vehicle, among other comments. I was also informed that I should not have contacted the dealership directly and instead should have waited 3-5 business days for updates through Blue Knob. While Blue Knob presents itself as highly corporate and professional, internal communication and customer treatment do not reflect those standards. Clients should be aware that concerns regarding safety and timely communication may be met with dismissal rather than support.
