Georgie did an excellent job with the glass and the installation. The door is sturdy, works really well, and blends right in with the existing glass partition (so much so that guests have no idea that the glass door didn't come with the place). I was so happy with this door that I hired WGD/Georgie again to replace the glass partition on the bathtub in my other bathroom (something I had also wanted to get done). Georgie did a fantastic job with that as well. The new partition looks identical to the old one, just longer (which is exactly what I was looking for). Also Georgie was fair and transparent with his prices, responds quickly to texts, and shows up on time. But most importantly, the quality of his work is excellent.

Terrific experience from start to finish…read more I had a terrific experience with NYC Glass & Window Repair. Daria was a wonderful initial point person and stayed in touch throughout the process by phone and text. Vova came out for the initial assessment and measurements, and he was patient, kind, and really listened to what I needed. The initial estimate was more than I could afford, and I thought I'd have to contact several other companies for bids. Oliver worked with me to bring the price closer to my budget, and I was able to skip that exercise. I also decided to handle the glazing and weatherstripping myself. Michael and Ivan came to do the work, and they were thorough, quick, and resourceful. These are very old windows, and they encountered some obstacles along the way, but they figured things out and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up beautifully and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone I dealt with was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The workmen's primary language is Ukrainian, so their English was sometimes limited, but this was easily handled because there was always someone in the office available to communicate with both of us in either Ukrainian or English. I've had plenty of experience with workmen whose first language isn't English, so this wasn't an issue for me. I also really appreciated the way the company combines technology with personal communication. Everything is handled efficiently, but you never feel like you're being left to deal with technology on your own. There was always a real person keeping in touch. The entire team is Ukrainian, which was particularly meaningful to me as an East Village resident and a Veselka old timer. I was very happy to support them. This is the way business should be done. Five stars without hesitation!

My husband and I moved directly one floor below our old apartment but it didn't have mirrors in the living room so that had to be corrected. What do I know about having mirrors installed? Nothing! I just know I like watching the sunset and the increase in positive energy I get from having them. I started my very short journey into my search and found King David Gallery. I liked what I saw. I wondered if they would take on a project like mine so I contacted them. I gave Sara what I thought were the dimensions and she gave me an estimate. David came over to do the measurements and boy am I glad he did because I was way off! Sara let me know that the price would be different and that makes sense. The price was still much less than I was expecting. Again, what do I know about mirror installation? The day of installation came and I was something. I was anxious and excited and nervous. What if my husband didn't give David the right instructions of what I wanted at the consultation? David and another gentleman arrived on time and were wonderful! I'm immunocompromised and my husband underwent radiation in December so I am very grateful they were masked. I think I just digressed. Sorry. Back to the mirrors! The mirrors are beyond, beyond, beyond STUNNING! They are better than the ones upstairs and not just because they're new! The mirrors are perfect!
