I mostly like walking around this store planning what our house will one day have ... The staff is helpful and friendly and I love the idea of all the things I could use being so easily found in one spot

5 Stars Title: The Ultimate Home Decor Wonderland - If They…read moreDon't Have It, You Don't Need It! I've been to a lot of home stores, but At Home in Clermont, Florida is on another level. This place is MASSIVE, beautifully organized, and honestly feels like a treasure hunt for your house. Walking through the aisles, you realize pretty quickly why everyone says, "If they don't have it, you don't need it." They have EVERYTHING. I went in just looking for a couple of throw pillows and a lamp... and walked out with a full cart: a gorgeous new coffee table, seasonal outdoor planters, trendy wall art, kitchen barware, and the softest bedding set I've ever felt. The displays are styled so perfectly that you can't help but get inspired for your whole space. Prices are ridiculously affordable too--way better than big-box competitors for the quality and variety you get. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable without hovering, and the checkout was quick even on a busy weekend. Whether you're moving into a new place, refreshing a room, or just treating yourself to something pretty, this is the one-stop shop that actually delivers. At Home in Clermont has officially ruined me for every other home store. I'll be back (probably next month). If you're anywhere near Clermont, do yourself a favor and go. You won't leave empty-handed... and you'll thank me later!

Special orders were no problem (I needed sinking food for starting out with the fry) Went back the other day to purchase a bag of catfish adult food and well, my fault, took the wrong 50# bag home. Omnivorous is for Talapia & Catfish, carnivorous is for Bass & Perch. No problem with the return, credit and repurchase. The help didn't complain about the extra totin' of 50# bags to and from my car. There have been other issues too that were handled with good ole' southern friendly charm! Commerce with confidence. You'll be treated right. My first visit was a hoot because I kept hearing what sounded like a miniature vacuum cleaner droning noise in the front display area. I actually thought this old-timey country store might even have one of those high tech computerized vacuum units patrolling the sales floor for "stuff" to clean up. Well after about 10 minutes of my perusing their interesting inventory of farm animal wares and accessories, low and behold a adult pot bellied pig rounds the corner! Now this guy is quite a good sport too I'm told. He will gladly untie your shoes for you if you let him/her? This hunk of pork is all of 3' long and his back is close to 24" of the floor. Soooo cute - but not too fluffy! The ole pig is as friendly as can be, and will make you day-visit I'm sure! That is if the chicken pecking at feed behind the front counter, or the huge (15# ?) rabbit she keeps in tow while ringing up your charge at the register doesn't! What else can I say? I enjoy the visits and always have left happier than when I entered. They also have cat and dog, and other farmer stuff products too. Next visit I'll get a close up mug shot of the, ummmmm, piggy, piggy!

A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility…read more January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. I guess I overestimated my ability to wear high heels. I may have slightly overestimated my high-heel endurance. In hindsight, I clearly overestimated my ability to survive IKEA in high heels. I confidently assumed I could handle high heels at IKEA. I was wrong.
