Like any remodel, you find challenges and this team was able to solve them with ease. HIGHLY recommend them! When you do your research, look at how many 5-stars this company has. We were updating our kitchen and a half bath. I found their pricing easy to understand and I felt they were fair and easy to make changes. Their bid included plumbing so it was one stop service. We purchased the new sink and faucet and they were in charge of the installation. Once we decided to hire RockSmith, it was fairly easy to work with them. Go to MSI Surfaces and select our slabs and tag them to us and RockSmith. Once this is done, we scheduled a time for RockSmith to come and do laser measuring. (THIS IS AWESOME). This followed by going to RockSmith to pick a specific area we wanted to be the peninsula. Billing was easy. Recently I haven't been able to close the window properly and there's a big gap so I called for service repair. After the "5-7 days it would take to get a call back" I never heard from anyone so I tried contacting them multiple times leaving many messages with both the receptionist and person I was told that was assigned to my case, Derrick. Finally, after many attempts, I reached Derrick in the office. He never apologized for not getting back to me. Mind you, I live in Minnesota and we are currently experiencing sub-below temps and I have a window that won't close and freezing cold air is pouring into my house. Derrick informed me that the window installation is only covered for the first 2 years and it will cost me $75 for them to come out and look at it. He seemed to be put out by my request to have the window fixed and asked if I still wanted them to come out. Really??? I'm the most upset about 3 things; 1. The terrible customer service 2. The poor quality of the window because even though it's been 7 years I shouldn't be having trouble shutting it. 3. My bad, because I thought the window had a lifetime guarantee. Buyer beware!

When I called about I was told she couldn't do anything for me as we signed the contract approving it. Knowing what our plans were and what we wanted she should have brought it to our attention. 3) I don't think the kitchen designers are much like designers just sales people with measuring training. I was told to choose my tiles for a back splash. What I chose was very busy for my countertops. I have no experience in this kind of thing. Had she been a real designer she would have guided me something else.

We talked with salesman and decided to get a quote for bath tub, surround, and installing a vanity. The salesman used is of the high-pressure variety, apparently that is the style that they use. When mentioning that we don't like high pressure tactics, our price dropped from over 10,000 to 8,500. When explaining how amazed we were with this 2 day job costing more than we made in a month it dropped to7,500. When telling him to leave, he called his manager and said that if we promised to write this review he would drop it to 6,400. Ready for this - "if I walk out the door, the price is gone forever." Here is your promised review, I hope you like it. The installer could not understand the mess of instructions left by salesman. He was to cut out the bottom 2 feet of drywall from the walls and screw in place new drywall that we would finish. This made him wonder why he was installing a vanity that I would need to remove to complete the walls... so he didn't do it, and I still paid the 200 for him to do it. We had a gap where the new surround was pulling away from the walls. Installer says this happens because our gap from corner of wall to tub was less than 3". ---would have been good to know in the first place. His repair looks pretty shoddy for 6400 bucks... In the end, after I spent 3 days finishing the bathroom, it looks nice. Not 6400 nice, but nice. The quality of product was good, installation was okay, and sales process awful (2 hours to get this jerk out of our home...)

Beautiful wood, laminate and stone flooring as well; drove to Maple Grove and to our surprise our glass backsplash on a close out $37 per case(15) sheets Luscious glass tiles originally over $8.00 per sheet now a steal Three cases and we were out! Ample parking. Great staff. Designers for free but no installers. I would go back! The icing on the cake? Design manager Nick called me today when he saw we bought one sheet big that tile at Apple Valley to take to Maple Grove who had more stock. I mean who first that now days? We took pictures and brought them to the store in Apple Valley, MN and they referred us to the Florida manufacturer. Our complaint was sub contracted to a service that does that sort of thing. Long story short - they denied any responsibility. We will have to go to small claims court to pursue this. In the meantime we are out 1250.00 and have to replace the flooring with a totally vinyl flooring we purchased from Home Depot. Which is what we should have done from the start. I liked the fact that they gave me this heads up. We had 4 technicians come over to bring the stone inside and they were very thorough in their job. The final installation looks great!
