But what I experienced when I walked in the door was an overwhelming smell of dog and dog food. It was so overpowering I almost walked out. But didn't want to get charged. Under the aquarium, there was dog food spilled everywhere and dried slobber. As I walked back to my room for my massage, I actually tripped over a dog toy. My massage therapist just played it off. With sore shoulders and back, I was hoping my experience would improve. Massage was two out of 10 While my massage was going on, the dog started barking. I've never wanted a massage to be over so bad. What I was hoping would be a nice, relaxing experience turned out to be the complete opposite. I honestly don't know who is giving this place 5 stars?

I am so thankful I found Jan! She is a miracle worker…read more I suffer from a disease called ankylosing spondylitis that attacks the spine, SI joints, neck, ribs, GI tract, and internal organs. In advanced cases this disease fuses the vertebrae in the spine together, causing a hunchback and shrinking. Lucky me, I have a very advanced case of this disease at age 35, with a large portion of my spine now fused together, and a dreadful posture. Yet Jan is still able to dig deep, release years of tension and pain from my body and muscles, so that I leave feeling lighter and taller each time. I so wish I discovered rolfing and Jan 15 years ago, when this disease started to take over my body. But I am just so thankful I have at least found her now!! I have been to a couple other rolfers who were nice and did good work, but Jan is the only one I would recommend with a glowing review. She goes deep, and gives you all she's got each session. I like to say its a treatment that "hurts so good". (Though if you are worried about healing pain, she will only go as deep as your want her to, its not anything to be scared of, it feels so, so, so good to release muscle and fascia tension, I just love it!!) Jan is very conscious about responding to your body. I just appreciate how much energy she puts into her practice. Seriously the best body work I have ever had in my life. Can't recommend her enough.

I am not a hairy person, but I have had them waxed- and threaded- quite a few times. It was definitely the most pleasant at Ruby's- it smelled great in her studio, and she applied a few lotions and potions to me throughout the process- including a sunscreen- which makes sense, but which I hadn't had applied previously. The process was "relatively" painless, and my brows were a pretty shape and not red like they had been after previous waxings. I will be back on future visits to Corvallis.

Andrea, owner of Sacred Tempos became my massage miracle! She was prompt in returning my call and so accommodating. I went to her location on Zeolite, which was a beautiful drive on the outskirts of Corvallis. Andrea was amazing! She took her time getting to know me and explained the types of massage and benefits of each. I decided to try a Shiatsu massage, despite my hesitation to try something different. I'm so glad I did! It by far exceeded my expectations, and honestly was the best treatment I have ever had. Andrea combines aromatherapy, acupressure, energy work and massage all into one. She is so gifted that her treatment flowed intuitively and effortlessly. I will only get the shiatsu massages from now on because I got so much more out of the combined techniques.
