Carpenter was rude in my own home! Messes were left. Workers walked out unexpectedly, without warning or calling management. Seemed like they did not like working on older homes. Insulation was removed and never replaced, saying "we're not insulators". Prices were not disclosed, saying it would increase cost to do so. Was sold special-order storm doors without my knowledge, so I couldn't get a refund! Months after final payment I discovered outlets wired to the wrong circuit breaker box and had to call them back for re-work. On the good side, they rightly stood up to building inspector to widen doorway. Overall, most work was well done, even if it was deeply frustrating with little accounting given for expenses. FYI: Don't let them talk their way out of providing references of work on comparable properties first..

Karl was very quick to respond to our concerns and made sure the project stayed on track and the work was completed to our standards. He took the time to recommend places to visit to help us pick out the finishes (flooring, tile, etc.) and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. He was also able to fix a closet door, a sliding pocket-door and install some cabinets in the laundry that we had purchased (in addition to the bathroom project). Highly recommend Beckman Builders!

We built a Classic Custom Homes (CCH) house in the Lake Wisconsin area that was started in the fall…read moreof 2016 and finished in early 2017. We actually live in Maryland, and went back-and-forth to Wisconsin during the design and building of our home. We selected CCH after due diligence involving the opinions of local real estate agents, looking at an in-progress CCH home and asking questions of the future owners, attending the Madison area Parade of Homes, and checking out a completed spec home with Jennie (the builder's wife) in the Kilkenny Farms development just outside of Waunakee. Jennie really helped us decide on CCH, as she just seemed confident, knowledgeable, and above all, credible. The design process went well, as Brandon was both talented and easy to work with. Building a home is never stress-free, and this house was no exception. 2016 was the wettest year in Wisconsin history, and so the job site was extremely muddy. This made everything more difficult, starting with the ground and driveway being too soft for a cement truck to drive on. With the cement truck having to stay on the main road, cement for the foundation was delivered via "pump" system, which delivers cement via a series of long pipes. The "pump" system was a cost overrun, but given the operating environment, it was unavoidable. When the home was completed, it was not difficult to have the few "punch list" items corrected. Our completed house is everything we had hoped for: beautiful, well-made, and energy-efficient. We still live in Maryland, but plan to move to Wisconsin soon. We were away this past winter, and when we got to our CCH house this summer for the first time in about 8-9 months, we had a wet basement. Thus was likely due to a particularly brutal winter, with heavy snow and then a sudden thaw, and compounded by our not being here to keep snow away from the house. With our insurance company ruling that this was caused by "ground water", our claim was dismissed. However, Bryan of CCH has helped out a lot, first sending out a crew to remove wet carpeting, drywall, and trim, and then scheduling a crew for final remediation. Since our house was completed over two years ago, and we were absent for the entire winter, we are more than grateful for the assistance of CCH. Bryan can be blunt, it is true, but in my view he is also honest and helpful. We are at an age where we may never build another house, but if we do, it will be with Classic Custom Homes. Without reservation, I recommend this builder to anyone.

After extensive research and meetings with other builders, we selected Classic to build our home in…read more2012. We were not disappointed! Here are some comments about Classic's results/performance in several key areas: Quality: This may be where Classic made the greatest impression with us. Brian and the entire team set very high standards for quality, and it shows in their results. This includes high quality materials and craftsmanship, and valuable consultation with decisions. On numerous occasions, they helped steer us towards great style and other decisions that will ensure our long term satisfaction. We regularly receive compliments from friends and family about our home, and Classic deserves a lot of the credit. Communication: We had a true sense of partnership with Classic, and they did a great job keeping us updated along the way. Like many people in our situation, we were nervous and had lots of questions. Classic was responsive and consistently put our minds at ease. Cost/Budget: The process of putting together bids and cost estimates was very easy, and Classic provided accuracy and transparency throughout. The final cost was exactly what we expected, and it was less than the initial bids we had received from other builders. Schedule: Classic did a great job adhering to the planned schedule (which they shared with us along the way), and our home was completed in less than 4 months. Not only that, but we needed a place to live during construction (our previous house sold quicker than expected), and Classic provided us with a flexible arrangement at one of their rental properties. Standing Behind Their Work: In any construction project project, there will be things that didn't quite go as planned or that need follow-up work. A good measure of a service provider is how they handle these occurrences. We had a couple minor things (quality of work from a couple of the sub-contractors) that needed attention and Brian took care of everything quickly and at no extra cost. All in all, we were (and still are) extremely satisfied with our decision to have Classic build our home. We would definitely build with them again, and recommend them to anyone we know who is thinking about building a new home.

Mostly we either had to get quotes via Zoom, I'm not sure how you can assess a big project via a Zoom meeting, or it took weeks for someone to even contact us. DreamMaker was on a different level from everyone else we met with. We met with Michal, Kelly, and Sara at their store, and they had everything prepared for us. They had an entire presentation with timelines, cost estimates, and samples. It made the whole design process fun. When we settled on the final design we were given a complete schedule with access to daily progress reports, with photos. They handled all of the contractor scheduling and kept us in the loop with any problems along the way. During the remodel we were living at my parents so the daily progress reviews with photo's was key. They stayed on schedule, and we were back in our house when they said we would be. The work was spectacular, and I can't recommend them enough. Just take a look at our before and after pictures. We spent two months shopping around to find someone for our remodel, and we should have just gone to Dream Maker from the start and saved a bunch of time. We are having them come back to do our bathroom next.

About 20% of the project cost was markup and the owner billed me twice for lighting since the electrician could not install the first set of lights ordered. We have beautiful new counters, new sink and new 18" dishwasher in a very small kitchen. The project manager was great- from his first visit to my house to get me a bid, I enjoyed working with him. He was prompt, polite and eager to understand our project. He asked a plumber to come out and look at the project and attended that meeting too. When we had the final numbers-- I told him we had a small window to do the job before a family gathering. If we could do it before Nov 6, fine, otherwise we'd wait and do it after Nov 12. He made it happen by Nov 6! My new dishwasher was happy to help with all of the family party dishes, glasses and silverware!! Christensen organized all the subs. The fine carpenter did a beautiful job. Chase Lumber did the counters and J & J Plumbing did the plumbing. Excellent work by a local company. Hooray!

Our realtor actually gave us a number to someone she recommended but when we called them, they kept us on hold and eventually hung up. After that bust, I searched online for another contractor and saw all of the positive reviews A-Team Construction had online. When I called them, I was greeted by Nicole who was extremely professional and friendly. She was able to have Cory come out and talk to us about what we wanted to do in a timely manner. When Cory arrived, he was excited to help us out with all of the ideas we had and gave us some feedback about what might or might not work based on our goals. He came as many times as he needed to make sure we were all on the same page about what we wanted to do. He even helped us outline the work with painter's tape so we could get a better feel for how the finished product would look. We really appreciated how flexible he was when it came to meeting with us since my husband works long hours but still really wanted to be a part of the process. In addition, to keep costs down for us, Cory suggested and carefully explained a few demo tasks we could do ourselves. A-Team is very busy so we did have to wait a few weeks for the work to be done, but it was done quickly and efficiently. I love how Tommy, the Vice President, keeps the lines of communication open throughout the entire process to ensure we are 100% happy with the work. Even after they were done, he has followed up to make sure everything is working well. Not every company's VP will give out his cell phone number so you can call them directly about a concern you have. You can really feel how much he cares about his customers' ultimate satisfaction. My only complaint is about the drywall guy they work with. He left some fruit scraps on the floor after he was done for the day which we thought was rude and unprofessional. However, when we called them about it, they handled our complaint with grace and assured us that he was going to be addressed. When they were done, they left the house cleaner than how it started. I forgot to mention that the first time I posted this, but it was so impressive. I just had to mention it. Bottom line: I would without a doubt recommend A-Team Construction for your remodeling needs. Call them. You won't regret it!

When Chase and Denny came to look at our place, they were very detailed in their measurements. They also gave us a quote in a very short time, with no surprise stipulations. Their price is very fair for the work they do. In the end, they were able to complete our flooring in 2 days, and were able to do it without us having to do any furniture moving or other work on our end. It was a fantastic experience, and the floors look amazing! We couldn't be happier with the work they do, and will readily use them again in the future. I would highly recommend them for any construction or home project needs. Thanks guys!
