You see I had 66 tiles and needed 80. So I decided to do a border around the tile first, this way there will be enough tile to work with. Let me say Jeremy and Matthew did a great job. They put it in, and it's perfect. The way Jeremy suggested to arrange the tile, was just the look I was going for!They are on time, worked very hard, cleaned up every evening when they were done for the day. If you want to be "NOT TOLD THE TRUTH", Undergo Excessive Delays, Have Many Broken Promises, Poor Communications, No Attention To Requests, Being Completely Ignored, excuses for everything, Have Work Started Without Posting Your Permit And Without Posting Your Notice Of Concement, Well then you have picked the right builder. Jeff Onorato did not even show up on time for the very first meeting we scheduled with him, a meeting scheduled two weeks in advance. We drove 3 1/2 hours to meet Jeff at his office in Labelle and when he was not there we waited another 45 minutes. Unfortunately we did not run as fast as we could at that point in order to avoid this horrible nightmare we got ourselves into, a very bad call for us. Anyhow we started looking at his spec homes on December 2nd, 2019 made some modifications to one of his spec plans and finally signed a contract May 5th, 2020 At this point today, just under 8 months we have a pile of fill dirt an empty contractors permit box and a porta jon at our property. We made many requests for a copy of our house plans and never received one, asked and never received one, asked again and still have never received one. The plans got approved at the building department and we have no clue what they approved because we still have never received a final copy of the build plans. We scheduled a meeting with Jeff to work out some of the issues and the next week it was back to the same old way of doing business "Horrible". We challenged him about walking away and settling up because nothing was happening and at 8pm we get a text that the fill dirt and the spreader will be there in the morning, well actually that really did happen. Later we requested Jeff to stop all production of everything so we could regroup and get our thoughts together as we were ready to cancel this contract again and were actively seeking legal advice. He totally disrespected our request to stop and on the following Monday morning he picked up our building permit after it had been sitting there approved for three weeks. Tuesday morning he decides to file a Notice Of Commencement for us without our authorization. I am not sure how he has achieved 5 Google decent reviews out of nine. He must know those people and requested good reviews. We were given addresses of two completed homes to look at the quality of his work from the road. We eventually found out that both of those homes were built for his stepdaughters and we actually met the one family outside and the statement was we have to talk good about them Jeff he is her stepdad. We are so disappointed with Blue Ribbon Home Builders Inc. The way Jeff disrespects you, your time, your requests and in general the way this man does business is the worst customer service person in history. We were building a $185K home, we were a cash buyers with no bank involvement and all of the money was paid in full in escrow at the title company. Where did we go wrong. Picking Blue Ribbon Homebuilders is were we went wrong and we hope you do not make the same mistake. This is true and accurate of what happened to me and my personal opinion .

Promised a dream, delivered a nightmare…read more We were directed to Ron Marra Construction in December of 2018 by Coastal Premier Properties, a sellers agent who sadly presents itself as a buyers agent. Google HD Homes Florida building fraud for more about the infamous Dukes family. Yet another shady Florida business. We signed a contract with Ron Marra on January 1st 2019, and we're told it would be a 9 month build. We had already designed the house ourselves, and paid him $23,000 up front to cover permitting & land surveys, etc. Two and three quarter years later we were left with nothing but the ICF shell (which he didn't even properly protect before piling dirt up around the base), the roof and metal studs. We had even shelled out an additional $18,500+ in cash to help him move forward. And what did we get? Excuse after excuse after excuse for why he couldn't make progress and a demand for yet another $56,000 for even more! Ron told us in Oct of 2020 that the project had been under priced from the start and admitted he never really reviewed contracts before signing them. Therefore he was "forced" to increase our build price by 20 to 25% if we wanted it completed as contracted for. In the end, because Ron missed so many "promised completion dates", our lender was forced to call our loan due. I e even tried to get a construction loan through other lenders, but no one would touch the project because of Marra's current reputation. Our dreams were completely crushed. The man is a liar and a fraud. In fact, he has defrauded more than 20 couples/families over the last two years, leaving many without a home or the hard earned money they paid him. I wouldn't recommend Marra Construction or their re-branded company Florida ICF Builders, LLC (Ron's resorted to using his son's contractors license) to build a dog house! Subs won't work for him because he doesn't pay the people who DO work on his projects. Steer clear of Ron Marra Construction and Florida ICF Builders. Check out ALL their reviews here, on Google, on Buildzoom, and on their social media accounts. The only good reviews they have were written by employees (who no longer have jobs) and fake clients. They told me they wouldn't take any money until they were ready to order metal because they were ready to do the job. They took 50% in January. And since then I have contacted them four times to find out when I'm going to get my roof and I never get an answer. All emails are ignored. Phone calls either go to voicemail and are unreturned or if I get someone they dont know the answer, say they will check and get back to me. They have never gotten back to me. Really no excuse for this much dropping of the ball unless there is bad intent. I'm giving it until Friday and then I am getting the lawyers involved.
