This place had top notch reviews so we gave it shot. It's traditional Puerto Rican BBQ. The food was all fried or at least very very greasy, tried a little bit of everything they had to offer but just wasn't for me. My body doesn't deal with grease as easily as it did in my 20's. Amazing meats minimal seasoning so you get the fatty texture and crunchy skin meat. They have all the Boricua sides and cold drinks at affordable working man prices. Not a tourist trap, you'll mix in with cabbie and airport workers and families picking up to take home. If you dine in someone takes your order while you wait in line, take a seat and they'll call your name out for payment. They do a lot of takeaway too. Yellow rice was a little bland, pork was moist and delicious, and the chicken was as good as any other rotisserie I've had. White rice was NOT good at all. Not even close to being rated "ok", it was hard in some places and you can just tell it was left over from maybe the night before or longer. They're still opened 24 hrs a day. For the same price you can feed 2 people with fresh fish or juicy and tasty mofongo at other San Juan restaurants. The food itself was very, very greasy. Also, the pigeons/men gambling and drinking/flies are not the best atmosphere while eating next to the highway. We had to ask for napkins since the food was so oily, and you can ask for the 1 bottle of hot sauce they keep behind the counter- you'll need it. This is your traditional Puerto Rican barbecue spot with chicken, ribs, sausages and all the sides like rice and beans, baked sweet potato, cassava, & plantains. The portions are super generous and the price is super generous as well. We ordered the longaniza, ribs, and half a chicken. You can order the meats by pound. Wasn't very busy at the time we went around 10pm and you'll have to find someone who speaks English because it seems like a nice spot that a lot of locals go to.
