This place was absolutely delicious!!! The pernil and ribs were super tender and juicy, and the chicken was marinaded well and cooked with a savory rub. The sides were perfect complements to all the bbq'd meats. We had 3lbs meat and 3 sides all for $42, insane value for how amazing this food was. FYI because of COVID they only have drive through (this place was really popular, waiting in the drive through line took us about 15-20 minutes), and the waiter taking the orders only spoke Spanish. Tried Bebo's after meeting friend while hiking El Yunque. He recommended this spot and said he was here three times in one week; I definitely had to go find this place. If you don't want to wait in the long line, I definitely recommend you call ahead of time because there's a lot of people coming over here in the daily. Even though there's a line, there was a good amount of seats and tables available didn't see anyone waiting for a table to be available. Everyone here was super nice plus Food was great! So many different options that I didn't even know what to get; honestly almost ordered everything. A great spot to get basic Puerto Rican food as soon as I get out of the airport. The place is very close to the airport, less than two miles away, about 5 minutes drive. And since is open 24/7, doesn't matter the time or the day, I can always make a quick stop to satisfied my cravings. The food is always good and the prices are low. I can get as much or as little as I want of anything they offer, since they sale the food by weight. They also offer some main dishes like mofongo with chicken, and tradicional desserts. The place is always full of locals. They have a open air dining, (not AC). Also, plenty parking spaces behind the building. Quite contrast to the raving reviews on Yelp, Bebo's BBQ wasn't overwhelming or underwhelming, but in between. Coming straight from the airport, since Bebo's BBQ is not too far from it, the restaurant was not open during hours as advertised. Eventually, I found a day that it was actually open late-night. At the time of my visit, access to the freeway-facing restaurant was inconvenienced by public road work, so I had to use streets in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. The place is right next door to a busy McDonald's and has plenty of parking. There's open-air seating and a buffet of selections, similar to what it's like at the hot and ready food section of a grocery store. Mass confusion emerged as people formed a perplexing line in front of the ordering section and along the tables. People were cutting and this caused the employees to have to make a very loud public announcement. The no non-sense employees worked feverishly to get the orders out, and their fast service was much appreciated. Food options included sausages, rice, bbq chicken, ribs, and roasted pork. I ordered a little bit of everything for a really affordable price. The rice, although a bit too fluffy, was nicely flavored, and the ribs were really good when combined with the rice. But, the sausages were not my thing at all, and the chicken and roasted pork were slightly overcooked. Overall, Bebo's BBQ is an affordable, chill place to grab quick bites, but not the best eats in PR. read more

However, I asked for some of the pork skin but I didn't like it because it was very chewy and gummy like instead of crunchy. The morcilla was old and hard. Where do I start? The restaurant is across the international airport and I wanted to try it since I was in Puerto Rico last January. This is a Puerto Rico food experience: I went to the pork high way last time to Pinos I can tell the locals love their pork and lines are out the door. I went there on a Saturday afternoon around 430pm. The staff took my order while I was waiting in the line. I waited for 30mins to collect my order and take it to go. The ambiance is casual and most people are having beers, roast pork and chicken. A popular sides are the Yuca with. Onion and their rice and beans. I ordered the 1/2lb of chicken sausage, 1/2lb of pork ribs, 1/2 lb of peril and 1 sweet plantain; the total comes to $18. The pork is hot and juicy and the ribs is flavorful. I ordered to go so I can bring it back to the hotel and enjoy the food with a glass of wine. I will come back for more ribs and try their chicken next. read more

Bebo's is right across the highway from the airport in San Juan. We rented a car and had to go pick it up in that neighborhood as that is where a few off-airport car rental places are. We got our car, went to Bebo's, and had our first great meal in PR. You should do the same. We were hungry after we got our car and went to Bebo's to eat in mid-afternoon. There was a long line. My teenage daughter wanted to leave because of the line, but we told her the line meant the food was probably really good. We were right. A woman was taking orders from everyone in the line. She didn't speak English but directed me to point my phone at a QR code that gave us the menu. We ordered too much, but brought the rest with us to the place we were staying. The pork was fantastic. Especially loved the costillas (ribs). The pernil was a little dryer, but came with some crispy skin. Bothe we're garlicky and delicious as Puerto Rican pork is. The chicken, and whatever garlicky marinade or rub was all over the skin, was to die for. Juicy, delicious, flavorful, you must get it. The tostones, rice and gondules, and all the rest of the sides were on point. Eating in Puerto Rico was a tear the whole time we were there. But as the long line tells you, there are few better places on the island to get an idea of what top notch Puerto Rican food is than Bebo's. One of my favorite spot in Puerto Rico. It's open 24/7. You will find a line of customers whatever time you go, for good reason. It's definitely a spot for the locals. It took some time for our order to be ready but it was worth the wait. The meat were all so tender and flavorful. I wish the skin of the roasted pork was still crispy but it was already stale. Found this place around the corner from the air b&b we were staying at. This place was busy and the line looked long but it went by pretty fast. You need to know Spanish. Thank goodness for our phones to help us order and point out what we want. The employees were nice and patient with us. We ordered 1lb of ribs, which was good. It fell off the bones. We order a whole chicken because why not. It was dry sadly. My friend that also order the chicken was nice and moist and that was good. So the consistency isn't quite there. Rice and beans in Puerto Rico are traditional sides, we ordered the medium side which was more than enough. I'm not a fan of beans but the rice has good flavors. I wish they had some type of bbq or hot sauce- it would completed the meals. The best part is the price, we got all three for around $27.00. Loved the food at this bbq at this spot near the airport! We came around late afternoon and they were totally sold out of pernil. The tostones and pork ribs were fantastic and the ribs had the best sauce on them. Service was fast and efficient but the atmosphere lost some stars for me due to all of the pigeons around while eating. I read that this should be your first stop in Puerto Rico - sounded like a great I idea, BUT this should ALSO be your LAST stop in Puerto Rico before going to the airport! We did both! I'm not even sure if it took a long time or not - I was patient - confident that the food was going to be good! When I see locals in line - I know I'm in the right place! Someone comes out in the line to get your order, so you don't wait until you're first in line to order. My order: 1/2 chicken, pernil (I think 1/4 lb), 1 lb or ribs, mistakenly ordered two beans and rice (only needed one), plaintains (2), sweet potato, 2 waters and 2 cokes... less than $38. Took it to hotel room - two meals for two of us. Everything was delicious. So good in fact that we stopped by on our way to the airport and probably had the best meal of anyone in the airport. Visiting from US and I love Pernil, morcillas etc Sunday around 5:00 pm and was not crowed, found parking right in front The morcillas were HORRIBLE (just like I remembered them last year too) very dry, old, no taste of seasoning/cilantro etc. they were so dry that they would crumble and the taste made me nauseous. We came to Bebo's as is was highly recommended to us by my husbands co-workers who are from San Juan. We had some issues with our flights so it gave us an opportunity to take an Uber over and grab an early dinner. We got there and found a line, we jumped in it and began our wait. After being there about 15 min a very rude woman walked up to us and asked for our order. We were not prepared for this type of ordering we hadn't seen a menu and had no idea what to order or how to order. When we tried asking question she was extremely rude and pointed over towards the counter and said something like "that is what we have". We walked to the counter and found just a couple items in the hot line. But wait! I found a QR Code leading us to a menu. We prepared our order and when the rude lady came back we were ready to make our order. We waited in line without issues yeah it was hot and kind of a long wait but not a big deal we get that part. Once we were called to the counter to collect our order and pay we noticed something different happening then with other customers. The rude lady came up to the counter and took control of the credit card machine. She began to charge us, she held my credit card after the chip reader did it's thing. She turned it towards me to leave a tip. Due to her horrible service I decided I was not going to leave a tip. This is not a full service restaurant. She had the nerve to confront me and say "you are not going to leave a tip" I flat out told her I would not be leaving a tip because of her attitude and treatment of us. The most important thing here is that she didn't do this to any other costumers. It was very clear to us that she treated us differently because we were obviously tourists. The food was a amazing and Bepo's would have received a 4 or 5 star review from me but this women ruined our experience.
