Closed, filed bankruptcy. Nothing to say. It was nice while in business, but not a functioning place anymore

This was my second time here. Yesterday it was a wellness retreat focusing on garden to table. They now have a master gardener but unfortunately it was drizzling for a good part of the day so we weren't able to go out to see her work but were able to hear about it. The dietitian did a fantastic presentation as did the staff doing vinaigrette for our salad and the canned jams, jellies and vegetables. The best part we all got to take home the finished product. The food is always good and healthy since they also run the biggest loser resort. We were served breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout our stay and were given to-go containers so that was a plus not to have to make dinner. It was a long day and drive so I didn't stay around to use the pool and sauna. A year and a half ago I did get to spend the night and use all the facilities. We took a few classes with trainers that were top notch. I believe it used to be a campground so now they have rustic but comfortable cabins. The beds were comfortable you have a sitting area, tv and private bath that comes with a thick comfy robe to use. The cabins a set between the trees with a water view so you have great sun rise and sunset views. read more

This venue is amazing. The team here will do everything they can to help you if you experience issues. The conference center has an abundance of recreational options whether you want a physical challenge or just need to get grounded and centered. It's an easy five stars. read more

I've been to Beaver Hollow a few times in the past for meetings and full-day retreats, but I just had the opportunity to stay for a few nights for a retreat and the experience was pretty solid. As others have mentioned, the landscape is breathtaking and there are plenty of outdoor activities. We especially took advantage of the guided mindful mile, the hot tub, and bonfires. The accommodations were modest... my room reminded me of a cross between a cabin and a hotel room. Not fancy at all, but adequate. I'm not sure if they have more luxurious rooms for a higher price. The biggest wildcard was the food - some things were solid while others were just flat out thumbs down. Out of everything I had, there soups were by far the best. We had no issues with the customer service. Everyone was friendly and attentive to our various needs. I would definitely come here again, just with appropriate expectations! read more

Lovely facility for conferences. I'd love to see "The Biggest Loser" menu cause we were served some serious food options. It was all well done, fresh and attended to consistently by staff. The options for activities keeps up with the various foods: boating, walking, basketball, volleyball, shuffle board, tennis, swimming etc. The room accommodations vary from rustic campish to a well appointed hotel. All options were clean and well maintained. read more

I was afforded the opportunity to spend not one, not two, but three nights at the Beaver Hollow Conference Center back in August. (I'm a mom with two active kids under 4. Reviews take a while for me to write now, lol.) My Open Buffalo Emerging Leaders conference was there, and boy did this place give me allll of "The Great Outdoors" feels! You are literally surrounded by beautiful nature that inspires you to put down your phone and soak everything in ... after you take a few photos, of course (lol). All of the meals were prepared to perfection -- and we had buffet style the entire time. The food was fresh, plentiful, and made me hate the thought of returning home as I would not be blessed with such a delectable breakfast, lunch, or dinner after the retreat. The rooms were also nice: cabin-esque on the outside for those who love all things rustic, and hotel-esque for the bougies of the world who refuse to "rough it." The only hang-up was the reception (both WiFi and phone connection), but that was expected. Given this place is a part of the Biggest Loser training area, there was so much to do and soak in. If you wanted to gym, you could gym. If you wanted to play basketball or tennis, there were areas for that. I also enjoyed the many outdoor pavilions that were often the backdrop to our discussions and training. There's nothing that will instill calmness quite like reflecting along the lake. All in all, the Beaver Hollow Conference Center was a wonderful experience I truly will not forget. ... Did I also mention you can take canoes out on the lake at will? read more

This venue is such a breathtaking hidden gem! Beaver Hollow is where the biggest loser resort is located. I attended a wedding here in the summer and everything about it was picture perfect. The ceremony was held on a tiny beach with all of the chairs set up on the sand, their vows took place under a simple but beautiful archway with amazing scenery all around us. We were then taken down the path via golfcart to the reception area. The reception area reminded me of what being in a huge tree house would be like. It had a very rustic feel to it and was located right on a tiny lake. There were gardens all around to take pictures and it was just a very relaxed atmosphere. One of my favorite parts is that the chefs cooked our dinners in an open kitchen, we were able to watch and smell everything as they were cooking. 5 stars for all of the food and appetizers too! We were all crowding around anyone with an appetizer tray because they were so yummy. After a night of dancing the evening ended with a big bonfire and smores on our way back to our rooms! Most of us from the wedding stayed overnight. I have heard great things about the cabins however we stayed in the part that was more like a "hotel." The rooms were about average, they didn't look outdated or anything. Ours had 2 beds, it was perfect for us for 2 couples to stay. I thought it was neat how they had permanent dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, so you weren't limited to a tiny pea size bottle and it wasn't the normal hotel cheap stuff! The only negative of the room was our AC unit sounded like a chainsaw on all night and had the occasional huge bang every few minutes (and it barely cooled down the room). We all laughed because we've never heard anything like it before, luckily for me I brought ear plugs. read more

Participated in a 2-day business conference here (small group meeting). We had all of our meals here for the conference. The food and service were outstanding! Every meal was expertly prepared, steaks were cooked perfectly, delivered hot and plated in a very appealing manner. NOTE: We did NOT sign up for the diet menu that might be available to the "Biggest Loser" guests. The rooms are nothing special, but are clean and comfortable. The setting was quiet and peaceful - very conducive to our full-day business discussions. I would highly recommend the Beaver Hollow Conference Center for any important business offsite. read more

The worst experience ever. Facility is old and run down. Landscape is beautiful, however. Staff are the rudest I've ever encountered. Patronizing, inattentive, rude, arrogant and simply an attitude of indifference at all levels. Don't bother asking to speak to a supervisor..... they are all related and you'll get nowhere. I met nobody there with any customer service skills. You get what they dish out and just be happy with it because they don't care to meet your needs. Food mediocre at best and recycled next day which becomes SLOP. Like I said..... worst experience ever for a conference. I will NEVER even consider this place again. It's a shame because it's a perfect environment for a retreat or team building but there are plenty more in the area to chose from if you don't want to be treated like an inconvenience to their day. Someone needs to buy them out and clean the place up and provide customer service training to staff on all levels. Then this COULD be the "premier destination" for conferences in WNY but never will be unless they make some serious changes. Definitely a problem when you have a family business that doesn't hold each other accountable. Tells me they all have the same customer service attitude. read more
