Local ' friendly competition' where people create a Christmas tree with a theme usually and then they are bid upon or up for raffle (not too clear on this part as we've never done it). Gosh there must have been 30+ elaborately decorates trees, an entire gingerbread village, about two rows of fireplace settings, door wreaths, local art work, mini trees, and even a talking bear! Best times to go are of course weekdays during the day. I read afternoon is best as the school kids field trips will be there in the morning. We went the Tuesday before thanksgiving and it was moderately crowded, I assume because the short week. $10 for adults $6 for seniors

I just went to the 2026 October 3rd knife and gun show. It was the worst show I've ever been to…read more They used to have a really good knife show. Now it looks like a flea market with $17 knives. You get at a gas station or Amazon. I don't normally go to the big bore gun show because it's really bad. My wife said the older people that were there selling looks like they emptied their closets. Note you're not allowed to bring in your umbrellas, at this park or chairs... yet theirs are down on the edge of the park... and you cannot raise them... picnic areas in full sun. Note they don't allow you to change seats. Empty seats in shade they refuse to give elders while on location. They have umbrellas and they're all completely down and they refuse to let people open them.. I don't know if they're trying to force people to stay in the stadium or if they just refuse to give the people what they ask for. I would be worrying more about your community than funds you can make on concession. Great field not the place to take elders. Just two weeks ago a woman I knew and cared for was refused shade on location, she fell down the stadium steps at a game due to heat exhaustion. You need to do something about this. They also do not accept cash for parking or indoors at concession stands. This used to be one of my favorite stadiums... truly disappointed.

The main event is a huge room divided into different experiences designed for kids. Standouts included a model farm, where you can "harvest" food and then send it on its way to a model grocery store, where kids can shop for the fruits and vegetables. My son adored the fire engine, as well as the bridges. He loved the treehouse and the "big" floor piano. There were other exhibits that were a bit too old for him, but older kids seemed to be really digging it. In the main lobby there are Lego tables, and hand sanitizer stations throughout to keep the kiddie germies at bay. Very impressive experience - i absolutely recommend it as a way to engage kids in fun activities in a stimulating environment.

But it all worked out and everyone loves their new decor!
