When I went in for my trial with Dana, I had a half up look with 2 twists back, the end result was messy and had Bobby pins sticking out a lot, I had assumed this was because it was the trial and we had moved the hair quite a bit and she didn't need to take the time to clean it up as it was the trial. I was wrong as this was the same result on wedding day. I had decided to simplify my half up look that I did at the trial just a little and one twist per side instead of two, but my stylist questioned me for wanting to change and was resistant of going with a small variation. I showed her a photo for reference and was very clear in explaining and showing her what I wanted. My hair was nothing close to what I asked for, when she first showed me in the mirror what the back looked like I was left speechless and honestly horrified because it was nothing what I asked for and looked like a mess. I had to bring my mom and sister over to help see what she was doing with the back of my hair because she wasnt understanding how to clean up the style and to style it the way i asked. She didn't listen to what I wanted, did the opposite of what I asked and I was in tears sitting in her chair because I knew that my hair was not going to look how I wanted on my wedding day and had little faith that she could make it look like what I even remotely wanted. Eventually I gave up trying to tell her and show her exactly what I wanted and accepted that my hair wasn't going to be what I wanted because I was then running out of time and had to continue getting ready. I look back at the photos and am sad and embarrassed about how my hair looked that day. My bridesmaids and mom also had issues with both Dana and her partner Monika of them not listening to what they wanted and the styles looking much different than the inspiration photos given. My hair also did not stay secure and pinned up, it fell out completely during the reception and I resorted to putting my hair up myself. I am really disappointed and honestly wish I had done my hair myself, it would have saved me stress and tears on my wedding day and I know I would have actually liked my hair. I am not one to typically write about my negative experiences, but as many are looking for a hairstylist for your wedding day, I want the brides to have the best experience on their wedding day and to be happy, so to proceed with caution when booking.

I had lip blush done about 3-4 years ago by someone else, and it was honestly a horrible experience. Over the last few months, I kept asking Anna if it was really supposed to hurt that much or if I had just gone to someone who didn't know what they were doing. Like any PMU procedure, it's never going to be completely comfortable, but it also shouldn't make you want to quit halfway through which is exactly how I felt the first time, and I have an abnormally high pain tolerance. Anna reassured me that it really shouldn't be that painful, and she was absolutely right. I'm not trying to knock another small business, but the difference was truly night and day. The first pass has to be done before numbing, so naturally that's the most uncomfortable part. After that, Anna reapplied numbing cream multiple times throughout the appointment, and honestly, all I could feel was the vibration of the machine. One thing I really admire about Anna is that she's constantly learning and testing new products to give her clients the best possible experience. She actually tried two different numbing creams during my appointment to compare them. The first worked ok, but the second was hands down the best numbing I've ever experienced. When I told her, she immediately thanked me for the feedback and said she'd be switching to that one going forward. That's the kind of dedication she has, she genuinely cares about making every appointment as comfortable as possible. The appointment itself is about three hours, but the time absolutely flies. Anna is so easy to talk to, has a great sense of humor, and somehow makes the whole experience feel effortless. One thing I love most is that opening her own storefront hasn't changed her at all. She's poured her heart and soul into building her business, yet she's still the same humble, kind, and genuinely grateful person she was before. She's the definition of a girl's girl. For anyone curious, we created a custom color by mixing Brownie Pink and Choco Mauve to get a more neutral brown-toned lip. We tested several combinations on my hand until we found the perfect shade, and I really appreciated how patient she was. She wanted to make sure the color was exactly what I envisioned before we even started. I am beyond happy with how my lips turned out. They already look incredible, and the healing process has been unbelievably easy. The first time I had lip blush done (at a different place), my lips swelled to nearly four times their normal size (I'm not exaggerating) and stayed that way for five days. I was so embarrassed that I wore a mask whenever I went out. This time? Virtually no swelling, and healing has been a breeze. I can't wait to see the final color once everything settles over the next few weeks. Anna deserves every bit of success that's come her way. She continuously invests in herself, her education, and her clients, always looking for ways to improve an experience that's already exceptional.
