I went into this store around 3 PM one day because they supposedly carry a brand of wigs I like. I asked for the one I wanted but they didn't carry it so they showed me something they had in stock. I tried it on and liked it, so made the purchase for over $260. When I got home, I noticed it had shed several fibers onto my clothing. No big deal. I took it out of the plastic zipper bag when I got home and shook it out to put it on a wig stand and noticed several more fibers falling. I've never had a wig shed like that. I didn't know the company name so looked them up online and David Mitchell Co went OUT OF BUSINESS in 2017. So the wig is at least 4.5 to 5 years old and starting to break down. The next morning, took the wig off the stand and several more fibers fell. Went back to the store right after they opened (less than 24 hours after purchase) to return. They acted like they had never seen me before and refused a return. She ran a brush through it and it lost a dozen more fibers. She tried to tell me it's normal for a wig to shed that much. I have NEVER had a wig shed like that, especially one that cost that much. At the rate it's losing fibers, it's going to be as bald as the top of my head in a month. Feeling I had no recourse, I disputed the charges with my credit card and they eventually conceded and the charges were refunded but the complete lack of customer service led me to leave this review to balance the one other review. Also, be aware that they charge an additional surcharge for using a credit card. There are shoddy, hand written signs on the wall saying so, but they were placed well out of my eyeline and I didn't see them. If I had, I would have walked out right then.

She made it clear we needed an appointment, but if we gave her a minute she'd see if she could help us. There was only one customer in the store. We looked at a few wigs as we waited, not realizing there was a string and tag that she wanted tucked behind each wig. She made it clear we needed to put those back behind the wigs. There was no doubt she had no desire to help us so we went to Judy's Wigs on Memorial and had a great experience. Thanks to Judy's Wigs, we now understand wig etiquette, how to care for them, and left with a great wig for my mother. But before she hung up on her, she personally insulted her on the type of wigs she was wearing, and called her a liar amongst other things. The wig she received was all tangled at the scalp and very poor quality. We should've known better, being as though the wig the owner wears is hideous. The only reason this lady is still in business is likely that most of her customers are not computer savvy and aren't aware of on-line reviews. Take your business elsewhere, because this lady could care less if you are happy with your purchase. She'll take your money, send you some trashy excuse for a wig, then personally insult you, call you names and hang up on you when you contact her about the problem.
