Unfortunately, the curls stayed tight and didn't give the soft, loose look I was hoping for. In the end, I had no choice but to put my hair up for the photos. I was honestly so sad and unhappy about it that I felt like crying. This was a moment I really wanted to feel my best in, and the hairstyle just didn't align with what I had envisioned or asked for. I've been to this location (River Oaks Houston) before and had a wonderful blow out, so it was just this specific person. That being said, the stylist herself was very nice, kind, professional, and I don't have any issues with her personally. She did tell me the curls would fall once I brushed them out at home, but sadly, that never happened. I just wish the style matched what I requested, but it was so far off. If I had the time I would have just washed my hair and curled myself when I got home but I had to go straight to my photo shoot. Also note the 60min Signature Hydrafacial does not include any hand/neck massages nor boosters nor light therapy so the $285 price was much more expensive than my usual spa. To prevent my daughter from getting her shirt wet, Hong provided a special towel to wear instead of her shirt. After lying down, she offered my daughter a lavender scented or unscented eye mask to further the relaxation during treatment. She then began a series of treatments including the use of special brushes to massage the scalp, removing dead skin cells. That was followed by the use of a hair steam treatment, and a neck and arm massage was provided during that time. I asked for a gentle taper to the back but got a straight cut that looks more damaged than before. After 4 hours in the chair I wasn't about to waste anymore time asking for something she clearly couldn't deliver.
