I turned sixty-three just a few months back. Truth is, I never cared too much about the way I looked. My theory was if you stay with a man old enough to be your father or grandfather, he'll be grateful no matter what you look like. Apparently that doesn't always work. Last week, I decided to get my hair done. I guess some emotional floodgate was opened because I then found myself with sparkly red toenails and whisper soft heels (who am I kidding?) It was just a hop, skip and a jump before I found myself in the hands of Fay looking down at me with the eyes of a hawk searching for prey. I didn't even bother to say "just the brows" because I knew just how in touch with my masculine side my face had become since I stopped looking in the mirror during Covid. "Do the whole face," I told her. The first time I came here, before Covid, I did say, "just the brows." I'll never forget the terrifying words I heard. Has anyone ever told you that you snore and you really didn't know? It was like that. I think the word mustache may have been bantered around but I have tried to erase that pain from my memory. I do recall that everybody noticed (and mentioned) the changes to my face (which made those little hairs I never noticed all the more humiliating). This week I knew to ask for a facial, a full-face thread and soaps and lotions to take home. I'd forgotten how threading tests your ability to stay quiet and seated while hair is pulled out by the roots. I'm not young anymore and I'm not rich, so I'm just going to have to do this looking-decent-thing the old fashioned way. read more

Let me start by saying I feel terrible leaving a negative review on a small family owned local business. I really wanted to love my experience here and become a repeat customer. Sadly, this is not the case. The woman who did my eyebrows was very pushy, aggressive, and at times flat out mean. Before I even sat down in the chair she was trying to sell me on a membership. I politely declined as it was my first time there. I could overlook all of the above if I didn't walk out of the salon with uneven brows that are now much thinner than I had explicitly told her I wanted. I left the salon crying and furious. Needless to say I will not return. I spent two years growing my brows and she destroyed them in two minutes. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. read more

Visiting my family for the first time in Yucca Valley right outside of Palm Springs and because of the town being small there's only so many options and luckily I found this small family operated threading place next door to a cool store, and a Korean restaurant. The woman who did my brows and face threading did a fabulous job. I paid 45 for face and brows and that is pretty standard everywhere. I live in LA and was visiting my mom and I needed to get my face/brows threaded as I do it every month. This experience was nothing like I've had before. She took her time and treated me so well. It felt like going to a spa. I'm so used to going in and out and feeling like the person who threaded me was in a rush. This woman is amazing! She put on an amazing moisturizer after and I felt like a million bucks after. Please go! This is coming from someone who's been all over LA to the "best threading spots". read more

This was my second time here.. the first one was not pleasant but I figured I'd try again 3 years later. I came for eyebrow threading and tinting. My eyebrows were threaded a lot thinner than needed, I came in with very thick and full brows, left with thin and sparse brows. She had to tint three times, and each time it didn't show up on me. I tried to tell her it was ok, cut my losses but she insisted on doing it again and she slapped me lightly when she was done and told me to check her work. The first time I went in, she pulled my mask down (very early into the pandemic) to see if I needed my upper lip threaded, NOT OK. She is bossy, rude, and too touchy. I know she might mean well but it's unacceptable. I tried to like and support this place but I won't be coming here again. Hope this helps others. I'll keep going down to DHS. read more

I'm new to the area and needed my eyebrows done. I had heard of girls having good results here (but the one in Twentynine Palms). I called and found out that location closes and Yucca was the only one open. I went in and the older woman did my brows. She was very nice but my brows turned out terribly. They are uneven, she took from places she shouldn't have, and she was very rough. 5 hours later my eyebrows are still tender. They were so red you would have thought I'd gotten them waxed. It almost felt as if she was pulling the thread instead of letting the thread do it's job (if that makes any sense. I don't know what I'll do now. Probably go to Palm Springs. But I left crying and sore. She also used the tweezers way too much for a threader and she trimmed them incorrectly as well. Growing them back out is going to suck. read more

Threading is kinda painful but it's worth it after all, they do it all here, once they Thread your brows, she comes by with scissors and and brush and makes them perfect, and finishes with some rubbing alcohol, place is very clean and the staff is from Iraq and friendly. Just went into Beauty Touch Threading today and am completely satisfied! Fawzia took her time and was thorough, really clean job. BTW, if you get the same service periodically, you can buy a membership and get 6 services for the price of 5; that's a great deal! This is only the 2nd time I've ever done the threading, but I'll tell you this, it is much better than wax and doesn't hurt like the wax....don't go home with puffy, red skin, either! I don't think I'll go back to waxing with this place in town! read more

I live 8 hours away but came to this area for Coachella. My eyebrows needed cleaning, so I looked up waxing / threading places near by. I came across this place and walked over since it was across from my hotel. The lady who did my brows was so sweet and did a wonderful job. The place is so cute and simple too. I felt very comfortable there. I was so happy with my brows and the customer service there. She also sold me some organic apple cider vinegar to help with breakouts and a special soap for a wonderful price. I would much rather support a smaller buisness like this than a larger one. This place is great IF Fatima does your eyebrows. Today someone else, the only woman there, did it for my second time in this shop and my eyebrows came out uneven, thinner with a different shape and new bald spot. My eyebrows do not have the same shape as they did when I walked in there and all I wanted was a clean up. I honestly almost left crying since it had taken me so long to grow out my eyebrows. I've been having my eyebrows threaded for 15 years and this is the first time I've felt this badly after the fact. Just make sure that if you go here you ask for Fatima because she's wonderful at what she does. read more

Fay completely botched my eyebrow and barely touched the other. I'm used to having my eyebrows shaped and made to look similar during the threading process. During the threading it didn't feel like she was pulling in long straight pulls, it was short and choppy feeling. My one eyebrow is in terrible shape. She finished with eyebrow powder before even letting me see my eyebrows so I couldn't tell how awful it was until I got to the car. I am extremely disappointed! read more
