Based on everyone's review on Yelp, The Wax Room looked to be the place where to go. Fortunately, it's located 30 seconds away from my dentist office (find my review on Radiance Dental in Reading). I was a little confused on where exactly to go when you reach the Market Basket parking lot. There is a plaza with a Salon. This made me believe that it was a typical hair salon that had a few services. When you walk in through the doors, it's like a row of 50 storage units (for a lack of a better word, suite) but cuter and smells of intoxicatingly beautiful smells and the sound of 50 hairdryers WRRRRRRRRRR'ing all at once. I was a bit overwhelmed walking into the suites. The Wax Room was very easy to find. But, I didn't realize that The Wax Room was exactly that. -Just one room, as are the rest of the many other tiny boutique services. One of the many thoughts that was running through my head is how everyone can compete against each other. But, it all seems to work out well. Another thought was, "Do I knock? Do I just go in?". Eventually figured it out. Bryanna was who had waxed my eyebrows and had done a tremendous job. I almost couldn't recognize myself. Think of Mia Thermopolis from the Princess Diaries and the makeover, except a lot less royal. However, it was great to finally have two eyebrows again. Bryanna had taken her time to perfect her craft. I can't get over how wonderful it feels. She was gentle and thorough. I nearly had fallen asleep as it was just soothing to get pampered. The only teensie weensie part that wasn't so comforting are the ceiling lights that beam down on you. They're a bit bright, but I can surely understand that there needs to be light to perform the job. I'm not too upset about that. I wish there could be one of those micro cosmetic lights. But then again. It's a tiny room, where limited equipment could be only be stored. Nonetheless, I'm still giving the adorable Wax Room and service 5 stars. I also love the fact that they accept credit cards; tip on card, as well! So, no need to run to the bank. A definite return in future!

I chose the associate I'll refer to as E because of how terrific she is and the rapport she's built with me over the past few years. I've been a loyal customer in Burlington for three years, and E has always been my favorite. She's upbeat, friendly, remembers me, and is exceptionally skilled--efficient, professional, and virtually painless. That's why I was both surprised and disappointed to learn today was her last day. She was let go with less than two weeks' notice--not for the quality of her work, but for not meeting product sales quotas. I've purchased annual wax packages for seven or eight years, but this will be my last. Across multiple locations, I've seen a pattern of poor employee treatment. Sales quotas should never come at the cost of retaining top talent. If a company is losing great employees like E over product sales, the problem isn't the employees--it's leadership. If European Wax continues to prioritize short-term sales over long-term customer loyalty, it won't just lose great employees--it will lose customers like me. By the way, my first postpartum wax was a positive experience thanks to E. She is outstanding!

The appointment is supposed to be 15 minutes and I was out of there in under 10... I feel very let down due to the fact that this person had yet again left me with a significant amount hair and rushed through the service. How could you let a client walk out knowing damn well you left loads of hair after the service is "all done". Is that how you would want to be waxed?! The waxer was very nice but she does not seem to care if she gets all of the specific areas that you book. Her bio is far from correct as she doesn't pay attention to detail. If I wasn't in a time crunch due to a trip I would have left and rebooked with someone else.
