Brightly lit and my first time going to this location. I wasn't greeted when I came in which was wild since everyone looked at me. It was brightly lit and I went to see if they had my pantry hose and they did. They cost more than they did when they were at another location for some reason. When I rang up my items, I wasn't given the total but the screen gave me the itemized receipt which was nice. Those workers are too young to give crap service at a place many people frequent. I'll check other locations before I return there for panty hose. read more

Poor customer service!!! Nobody greeted me as I walked in but looked at me up and down. Neither did that police officer at the front door. I was clearly lost at one point and was approaching the cash registers to ask for help and again, I wasn't acknowledged. I had to interrupt a convo to ask for help. This is a massive store of wigs. My mom visited with my friend. I tried to help but was out of place. Luckily, I found an aisle for men. I came up on some specialty soap that I had been looking for some time. Sometimes you have to come out of your comfort zone to get what you want and need (message). This store is the size of a super Wally World in my opinion and packed out with wigs, women's clothing, bags, hair care and body products. Journey on over. read more

Beauty Masters is the biggest beauty supply store in the world. It's a great place for affordable hair products, braiding hair, and crochet hair. If it wasn't for how they sell literally almost everything I wouldn't go to beauty masters. Beauty Masters is the worse place to shop due to stereotyping customers. The Asian managers will watch you like a hawk just because they THINK you would steal. They constantly walk up to you asking if you need help with something not to help, but to make sure you aren't stealing. The atmosphere of Beauty Masters (BO) is not quiet the best. Majority of the products are misplaced. They don't clean the store often and they put open and used products back on the shelf to be sold. You can ask one of the managers for help and they won't help you instead they'll make you wait for someone else to come and assist you. If you don't know your job, why are you here? One of the managers would stand outside most of the day smoking a cigarette, but can't help a customer find anything, so unprofessional. Where they are located is very disturbing and dangerous. People cars would get broken into and to make matters even worse kids with guns would be walking around. Guys cat calling women, harassing them. Old national isn't a very safe place, it's pretty ghetto and hood like. I worked at Beauty Masters (BO) for some time on and off. It was literally the worst job ever. They showed favoritism, don't give raises unless you're close to the manager, and racist. The store is so messy and unorganized. They don't want to pay employees, so they won't schedule enough people, so it gets very hectic, and customers get very upset. When we or a customer needs a manager, they take forever to come. If lazy was a person, it'll be Beauty Masters (BO) managers! They also started selling clothes not too long ago and the prices are ridiculous. A shirt would be twenty-five dollars!! From the beauty supply? That's insane. The quality on the clothes isn't worth the prices at all. I brought it to them that the quality of the clothes is terrible, the store manager just shrugged his shoulder and disregarded it. Would that type of behavior make you want to buy from them? Absolutely not. Then they don't give you your money back. You can only do exchanges and get store credit, which I think they only do that so regardless you have to spend your money with them. Even if you don't live here but you're just here to visit, they still with make you either exchange or get store credit. What makes matters even worse, is the customer service. The service there is intolerable, they legit will walk pass you as you're speaking to them. I went there last week for an anklet, I asked one of the employees to assist me because it's behind the glass. She didn't even glance at me and kept walking saying, "ask the cashier", just rude. There's been plenty of times where I've witnessed an employee arguing with a customer because the employee was being nasty towards them. Don't get me wrong some of the customers are rude but at the end of the end, it's our job to stay civilized. Beauty Masters (BO) has everything a woman would need but doesn't make you happy about spending your money there. They need to care more about their customers and employees. Owning a business and being inconsiderate of your customers and employee's feelings is a bad look for business. If they were to fix their customer service, the messy store (especially the make-up section), stop watching customers shop, and greet customers then maybe I'll feel better about spending my money there. I don't know when that'll ever happen, but until then I'd always give them 2/5 stars rating. read more

I love a good beauty supply store. This one is good size. They unfortunately do not have the holy grail of hair selection. They have a decent amount. Everyone was nice and greeted us upon entering the store. They do have a nice selection of hair products. Their prices are comparable to other stores. I would definitely go back again. There are located in a spot that's weird to get back on the street from but it's doable. Nice Place though. read more

I am in hair heaven!! This place serves EVERYTHING you could possibly be looking for. Yellow hair, green hair, blue hair, pink hair. They serve brands that I haven't found other places, unique combs and brushes, and whatever other hair accessory you may need. They are reasonably priced as well. Finally, they are located adjacent to a hair braiding salon I frequent. How cool is that. read more

I've shopped at this location once or twice before and the girls aren't helpful nor are they friendly. They act as if you're bothering them or doing too much by asking them to do their job. The manager has absolutely no leadership skills, and Lucian the General Manager is no help either. Very condescending and doesn't care less about his staff or business practices just that he gets your money. I bought a wig from here and the young lady who sold me the wig gave me the wrong wig, I spent $230 on a deep part wig that I did not want, I wanted a full lac frontal wig. And I specifically asked for that, she checked the wig and told me it was what I asked for, upon coming home and taking the wig out of the bag, I realized it was NOT WHAT I WANTED. I called the store this morning and spoke with the manager who was no help, she didn't even know what to do besides pass me off to tha associate that "helped" me and she lied about the encounter claiming I never asked her any questions about the wig. I was there with my boyfriend I asked her quite a few questions about the wigs and the one I was interested in as well to make sure I was purchasing the right thing. She went back and forth with me saying I never asked her anything I then told her I've had enough and would like to speak back with the manager. Spoke with the manager and she passed me off AGAIN to the general Manager Lucian. He gave no F's about what I was saying to him pretended to be sorry brush off what I had to say about the ordeal. I am typically very understanding and reasonable coming from a customer service background be this is absolutely ridiculous and I will NEVER spend my money here again. For a black man to be so rude and condescending to black woman, I refuse. I would rather give some young girl off Instagram who's selling bundles my money than him any day of the week. I love the selection they have and the set up of the store. I almost always find what I need here. Now on to the bad part: customer service is not that good. The employees don't know much and aren't that friendly. I walked in the store this morning and I wasn't even greeted by the cashier who saw me walk in the door, she didn't even smile not even when made eye contact with her she just looked at me with no real reaction. You would think the first person you see when walking in a store would at least give you a friendly greeting but I didn't even get that. I proceeded to go to an aisle to look for a certain product and there were two young women on the aisles working, one of them spoke but didn't smile telling me that she didn't really want to speak and she just moved out of the aisle while I was obviously looking for something I couldn't find but she still just stood there without offering to help me find something which is the service I was expecting, and when I asked her and the other person on the aisle had no clue what I was talking about, I would expect someone working in a beauty supply store to know these things. So like I said if you want just about everything you are looking for then yes stop in but if you want friendly and real customer service or people who can tell you things about hair products just keep driving. read more
