It is nothing like when you go to an African shop to get your hair done and unlike most African-American shops I have seen thrown together. Rayna is multi-talented and multi-faceted with hair, pocketbooks, seasonings, and reading material. They are placed strategically for view. When I arrived, she had just completed her previous customer, and promptly began with me. The out come of my crochet braids were dynamic. They are still in from the beginning of December, and can probably run a few more weeks.

I mentioned i had been scratching and didnt get a chance to oil she stated the relaxer she was using was not going to burn... I've been getting relaxers since i was 10; If you've been scratching, that shit is gonna burn! Needless to say, she didnt oil my scalp, instead she sprayed oil sheen on my scalp (?) and although she was fast at sectioning and spreading she had to make more relaxer and it was tingling/burning within 5-10 min. She brought me to the wash station where i received at least 2 washes and then proceeded with a deep conditioning. I didn't feel like the wash was thorough which is a big negative for me. However, the deep conditioning treatment was very enjoyable. From there, I was under the dryer for a bit and then brought to her chair where she proceeded to blow dry, flatiron and trim my hair. Overall, I was pleased with the finished product. Price.. Relaxer/Style, Trim (Comp'd, reg. $35) Deep Conditioning (?? not sure if that was incl. w/ the wash) = $130 (140 after tip) Note: Only 1 stylist. Books by appointment only. She does it all.

She also responded promptly. I made an appointment online easily. At my appointment, Kryste was very friendly and professional. The services are provided in a little room within a hair salon. The room smells good and is comfortable. Kryste takes a survey of your skin history and needs, which I appreciated. She also tells you what she is doing, which makes a facial more meaningful for me. She really cares about the results of your skin and your comfort. She will be soon getting her massage credentials which will make this place even better. I am glad I went and would go back for addressing my skin's needs!

I will say that Jackie gives a good massage, but unfortunately that's where her professionalism ends. I've been going here for over a year and I've had at least two appointments be canceled the day of, and one recently where she was a no-call no show, when I took time off work to make it to the appointment. I even called and left a message but never heard back. Super disappointing, and overall bad business practice. Read the other reviews and make the decision for yourself, but I'd advise going somewhere more reliable.

Whatever reason your looking at my review and I can honestly say that Johanna really cares that your happy and as long as you let her know what you want she will make magic happen!! My very first visit as a newbie especially hearing so many horror stories about different places it was a bit nerve racking but the minute I called trying to make a an appointment for ASAP and she got me in as a new client quickly and explained what to expect for the first time ever I asked so many questions about how to care for them and she answered everything. When I left I felt awesome and beautiful!! Johanna was pleasant and easy to talk to. She kept me comfortable and I'm sure I fell asleep a few times and I'm sure I embarrassed myself by snoring !! My biggest advice I can give you with finding the right person is don't try them out once sometimes it takes multiple trips to find out what works with your and your eyelashes. I truly believe and know if you talk to Johanna and let her know what your wants and concerns are she will make it happen to the fullest. Yes eyelashes fall out and yes i definitely wished they stayed in longer but sometimes that is not in the cards.. So if your looking for someone new to do eyelashes with or your a newbie like me give her try I know you won't be disappointed.

A girl at Starbucks had amazing natural looking lashes (she said that they were way passed when she should have had them filled). But they still looked really good. She even fit me in so I could get them done before we went on vacation. I went back for a fill and again they look so good. Super natural but full enough to be visible. I get complements all of the time. Thanks JoJo!!

I was in a panic, planning for my wedding in less than two months, and my (then) stylist had wreaked absolute havoc on my hair with several terrible coloring jobs. I won't go into how bad the experience was, but let's just say I got the distinct impression my long hair was a nuisance and at one point I even offered to dry it myself. Miss Ehrin calmly dealt with my bride-to-be freak out, took the time to look at my hair, discuss the problems, and figure out a solution WITH me. In all of the years I've been seeing her, she keeps me a part of the decision making process and she's patient with changes I want to make. All of this in addition to just being bomb at what she does, specializing in color and corrections. She loves a challenge, she's a great conversationalist, and she's knowledgeable in her industry. I'm always impressed to hear about this class or conference she attended, so that she can stay on top of what's new in the way of techniques and products, as well as style. I have moved twice in the time that I've known her, (both times a bit further away from where she is), and I never think twice about traveling to see her. She's absolutely worth the time it takes, and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a highly competent, knowledgeable and skilled stylist.
