Finally my friend told me about KimmieJacob and I stalked their Yelp and Instagram for their photos. Looking at their results it, I was starting to love it! I quickly made an appointment online. It was quick and easy. Then the day was here!! I was so excited to start. I couldn't wait to see the results. Jake sat down and wanted to know the style I wanted. I felt comfortable explaining exactly how I wanted it, since I was looking at all of their photos. After about 2 hours it was finished. Jake handed me the mirror and I had a big smile on my face! Visited Krystal for the first time yesterday for a Bomb Set and it was wonderful! I've had several negative experiences with lash extensions but decided to give this place a try based on the reviews and the amazing prices online. Krystal was very professional and I felt very relaxed with her. I was more than satisfied with the finished product. I will definitely be back to try her other services (waxing, facial, etc.) but I think I have found my new lash place. Helpful tips: There is parking on the street and in private lot, the salon is upstairs on the second floor of the building so you will need to keep an eye out for the sandwich board out on the sidewalk. Sumner station is nearby so you can hop on the bus or likely Sounder train to get to the town. The salon is within walking distance (at least for me, I'm a seasoned public transit user) from the station. They have this cool thing called BLOCK PARTY where you can choose different services-mix and match-and as long as the services fit in that time block, you can get them for that price. Very cool rubric, they will explain it to you if you are interested or don't understand. Overall, price, service, and professionalism can't be beat. I visited Lashe House a couple times. I thought I would try it because my friend recommended it to me, and her lashes came out nice. I visited the website and thought it was interesting that everything was online. However, to set up an appointment, you needed to pay for it up front (before your appointment, weird.) I guess that was okay, slightly because I'm lazy and that was convenient and slightly because beauty salons don't normally answer their phones anyway. I had Jake the couple times I've been there. The first time wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Just your normal relash. The second appointment I had with him was a little different. I thought my lashes came out really nice. But about a few days after I got them lashed, there was a poking feeling in my eyes. I called him and he said that he would check it out and see if there was anything that he could do and could see me that day. (Yay!) I went in and he checked me out, brushed it out a few times, and looked over it. He said that there was nothing wrong with how they were lashed or his work, and that it was probably my eyes. (Uhh, okay.. Thanks?) He said that I was probably allergic to the glue. Hmm, weird when it's only the corner of my eyes that feel the poking. Unconvinced of his diagnosis on my eyelashes, I called other prominent lash salons and went to Luxe Lash. (Hellelujah) I talked to Jenn Kim and she took off the lashes that were poking my eyes and relashed me that very same day. Apparently, Jake at Lashe House put more than one faux eyelash on my real lashes, so when they aren't properly put on, there is a lift that happens and that's what causes the poking feeling. Something that could've taken twenty minutes to fix, he just brushed off. Either he doesn't know the proper technique on volume lashes and just did them anyway without my knowledge, or he didn't have time. Whatever it was, it didn't sit well with me, hence, this below average rating. There are more experienced lash stylists out there that are around the same price. read more

One of the main reasons I get my lashes done is because I work 2 jobs and barely find time to sleep so not having to fuss with my face in the morning is golden to me. Being that I really have only one day off a week (sometimes, only half of a day) I always set my appointment on that day a week ahead of time. Well on numerous occasion Jake would send me text messages a couple hours ahead of my appointment and give me the weirdest excuses like, "I can't stop coughing, can you come in tomorrow?" I know a few people that sees Jake and apparently this happens quite often! He is very good at looking at the shape of your eye and customizing each look accordingly to your individual lash type. His kind nature makes it easy to be comfortable through the entire lashing process. My lashes still look fresh through the 4th week. It is well worth the visit. Jake is amazing! He makes sure that every extension is perfectly glued to one of your lashes, and NONE of them are glued together, he even gave me a comb so I could comb through my lashes. You will not be disappointed! I needed an eyelash extension fix quickly! My wedding was the next day, and in a panic, I reached out to the Lashe House the day prior hoping they would take me in, and they did! I had eyelash extensions on from a previous salon, but I wasn't too impressed with them, and Jake confirmed that for me. He seemed more disappointed and frustrated with the quality of my eyelash extensions that he ended up taking them all off and giving me a full set at an amazing price! Jake is very knowledgeable at what he does. He explained how eyelash extensions should be applied to a person's real eyelashes and what the "fanning" should look like. He even saved the eyelash extensions he removed to show me how horrible the previous girl did. I was shocked, but grateful to have found Jake because if it weren't for him and his expertise, I would have continued to go back to that girl. My eyelashes are light, fluffy, almost natural looking (at least compared to my previous ones), and he gives me tips on how to maintain them. Although keeping up with eyelash extensions has never been my thing due to the cost, but now that I found the perfect eyelash extension artist, I don't mind forking over the money. read more

UPDATE: I just got my last extensions done at another place. My previous review was based on the fact that it was my first time getting lash extensions so I was unable to judge if it was the best or not until now. I went to The Beauty Room, and got my lashes done by Amy. Supposedly she's the best and you need to book with her weeks in advance. I thought I try this place out due to its great Yelp reviews and because the prices were cheap. Well, let's just say you get what you pay for. I can totally tell the difference between Jakes work and Amy's. Jake took over an hour and a half maybe two to do my lashes. Amy took only 40 minutes. The lashes done by Amy looked so sloppy and too much. I told her I wanted something similar to what Jake had done, showed her a picture and told her I didn't want really long lashes but try to get it to the length Jake had made it. Since she does lashes constantly, i thought she would be able to understand what I wanted. Jake on the other hand, gave me lashes that were perfect size to what I wanted. The work he did is clean, perfect and organized compared to Amys work. She actually glued the extensions to my skin!!! And from my understanding what Jake told me, he doesn't glue the extensions to your lid. That's probably why my eyes are irritated from the fact that's the lashes Amy did are glued to my lids. I'd rather spend just a few more dollars for an excellent job by Jake than go to another place just because it's cheaper!!!! YOU DEFINITELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! read more

I had my lashes done for the first time today. I set up my appointment online for a Mother's Day special (awesome special) and the fact that we could do it online was very convenient. There's no more asking for availability or seeing who's working when. It's all right there online. Plus, if you ever forget when your appointment is all you need to do is open your app and they have it right there for you. The vibe was very chill. He had music playing which was very nice. He used gloves and everything was very clean. He explained what he did as he was doing it (probably because it was my first time doing my lashes). He checked on me to make sure I was okay which was nice of him. After he was finished he gave me a mirror to look at my lashes and I absolutely loved them! He even told me to stand in the sun because I was able to see if better. He taught me how to care for them and what to do once a refill is needed. I will definitely be going back to him. Overall, it was a great experience. Not only will I go back to him, my mom and all my aunties and their daughter are going back to him for their refills. I suggest you give him a try.
