I've been living in Brooklyn for the past three years and have tried multiple hair salons in the city and Brooklyn it's like they either don't understand what you want or just are not able to deliver. Every time I would leave disappointed and ripped off. Until yesterday!!!!! I was looking for someone new to try on my area and happened to call beauty design and was able to get a same day appointment because of a cancellation due to the rain. My appointment was with Julia (officially worlds best blonde hair colorist). I explained to her that I was pregnant and haven't had my highlights done for a few months. I explained to her what I wanted, natural looking highlights that would continue into my existing blonde highlights. My fear was too come out looking like a stripped zebra with copper orange blonde highlights. Julia was very professional and really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. We got started and I could already see that her technique was exactly what I wanted. She took her time and never rushed, all to make sure the highlights were placed properly and would not bleed. If you are a blonde and need someone to do your blonde highlights without walking out feeling like you look exactly the same as you walked in then you have to try julia. The salon is very clean and bright, and the people working there seem all very sweet and attentive. Julia even used a different % formulation to protect me from extra chemicals . This is my first experience with the salon and julia but when you find the One!!! I will never let her go now lol. I'm attached. Went to Beauty Design for the first time today and I was amazed at their work, I can only recommend Monika since i have only been there once. She was super friendly and very open minded, I showed her a pic of what my idea for a haircut was and she did her own amazing interpretation! I have very thin hair and she actually gave me these amazing layers that give me tons of volume. I am very sorry that I am so shy and I dont want to post a selfie to show how awesome the haircut is, but for $35 bucks this was the best haircut I have ever had. She was so gracious, patient and not only she listened to what I wanted but she had creativity to take it one notch up! My very first experience and I absolutely love it! Never had such a beautiful color and haircut and never got so many compliments. I experimented with my hair a lot but never felt so satisfied with the results and now finally the color stays exactly the same as the first day, my hair are so soft and easy to maintain on daily basis. I am absolutely impressed with the service and quality of products they use. Anita is the one who did a miracle job with my hair! I just wanted to say that Anita is great! I've been going to her for highlights for the past few years and she always does an amazing job. She really understands color and each time I leave that place I feel like it came out even better than the previous time. I have pretty dark brown hair with blonde highlights and she does it so that it looks totally natural. Her haircuts are good too! She's very sweet and caring and really knows what she's doing and without the attitude and inflated prices you get from hipster salons in the area. After many years of looking for a good hairdresser that will know how to take care of my difficult hair (brown with a lot of grays, difficult to get the desired blond effect with, and it were very damaged by previous hairdresser), I finally found Anita. She is the owner and she is a GREAT hairdresser! The most important is that she listens​ and understands exactly what I would like to have, while at the same time being honest about whether my hair can take it. Classy cut for out of town visitor! My daughter-in-law recommended Beauty Design but her regular stylist was unavailable. I was extremely pleased with Julia, who is somewhat new at this location. The layered/stacked bob is beautiful, and Julia is attentive to carefully checking and re-checking that the sides are even, which I am particular about. Her blow-out and product finishing left me looking ready for a hot date. Even if it will probably end up being a too-humid walk with the husband and dog, I'll feel special! I've been coming to Beauty Design off and on for years, as I am from the neighborhood, and I know I can always trust them with whatever I ask for. I've cut inches off or just gone in for a trim and it always looks great for the price!
