After she had shaped my nails (well, after she had told me she couldn't do short almond nails (which I get all the time)), I saw how damaged my cuticles were and told her I'd like to stop the manicure. I couldn't imagine what she would do to me with metal tools. During the appointment, the nail tech's attitude felt condescending at times, and I didn't feel welcomed or valued as a customer. Toward the end, she did try to be nicer, which I appreciated, but by that point the overall experience had already been affected. A nail appointment should feel relaxing and positive, and this just wasn't that. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others or encourages better customer service moving forward.

I ended up scheduling an appointment for a manicure and pedicure with gel polish. When I arrived to the location, they sat me down and immediately started to work on my toes. I noticed that the lady who was helping me didn't start the water. She only immediately started to trim and clip my toenails. I let her know it's my first time getting a pedicure here and didn't know what to expect and I even rolled up my pants. Five minutes into it I noticed she was already painting my toes. I noticed everyone who was getting their feet soaked were across from me. I started to feel uncomfortable immediately. She then finished with my toes and then took me to go sit down to do my manicure. After my manicure, I go to go pay at the reception and ask her(who happened to be the manager), What did I get booked for? She said color change for both medi and pedi. I explained to the manager Helen there must've been a mistake because I personal called ahead of time and requested a medi and pedi full service. Then I explained to her that I didn't have any gel polish or painted nails when I came in. I told her that I felt embarrassed at this point because the reason I came was to get a full pedicure and manicure full service because I have a wedding to go to this Saturday. She then apologized and said that Rachel the other reception was the one who wrote it on the appointment schedule and made the mistake. I explained to her that at this point, I felt embarrassed to even continue getting any service here because I felt outcasted. Helen was very adamant to continue to get the service and told me to not worry. She kept insisting to go ahead and finish the service for the same price due to the mistake of Rachel. I told her OK no worries. I'll do it then. She then start speaking in her native language yelling at the tech who did the service on me. Everyone in the shop looked over at me and was questioning what was happening. This increase the level of embarrassment. The whole time as she is soaking my feet and massaging she kept saying sorry. At this point, I didn't even want to continue the service. But I felt obligated because everyone was looking at me. After five minutes of soaking in massaging, I go up to the front desk. This time Rachel is there and I'm about to pay the $80. She told me then it was gonna be $95. I then question Rachel why are you guys charging me for full service? If it was your guises mistake and then on top of that, I felt obligated to stay and felt super uncomfortable. She said that she needed to talk to the manger. Then she yelled across the shop for the manager. Everybody turned around, Helen came over then she explained everything to Rachel. Rachel then was arguing with Helen saying it wasn't her fault but instead insisted that it was the manager's fault for the mixup. I then asked Helen why am I paying the full $95? If you told me you were gonna go ahead and complete the service for the $80. She then backtrack and said oh I never told you that it must be a language barrier. At this point, I said fine. I'll just pay the full $95. I would never recommend going to this place. They made me feel very embarrassed and uncomfortable. The thing that I don't understand is, why would the nail tech still charge me as change of color? If clearly I didn't have any color on my toes or hands. On top of that, when I tried communicating with the tech, all she kept doing was not in her head and saying yes. So disappointed in this location because the wedding that I'm going to the bride recommended me this place.

The first time I came here was out of convenience because it's close to where'd I just moved. They did a god job and I left happy! Second time, I wanted the color bubble bath with the most simple flowers on 2 fingers. I showed pictures. After 2 hours and 15 minutes and they could NOT get the flowers right what so ever, I said forget the flowers I have to get home to my babies. They finished at 2h and 40 minutes for the easiest nails ever and I didn't get what I wanted. They didn't charge me which was nice. But I felt awful, literally got in my car and teared up because I felt so bad that they didn't get paid for their time and I was still unhappy with my nails. I also felt obligated to come back and give them another chance. So I did!! My mistake honestly. I am in a wedding this upcoming week (I let them know that) and booked a gel pedi and hard gel fill. Toes look great! The nails look good too, but the experience was not. The top coat on the chrome was beading and separating for some reason. The guy clearly noticed it and didn't care cause he was running behind and rushing. When I said something he said to me "yeah because you hit it on the light" uhhhh no I did not? And if I did, I would have let you know right away. It was obvious that it wasn't from me? He asked if I could come back to fix it. I said no I can't? It took 2.5 hours for my toes and nails and I told them I have an important event this week. I have babies at home and a busy schedule. Why'd he make me feel like it was my fault? And then said "oh my god" when I asked him to fix it right then. Of course everyone in the entire Solon is looking and listening. How awkward. Leaving this review so that you don't waste your time at this place ‍

The only negative is that on inspection when I got home, it wasn't really the best pedicure. He got my cuticles but the nails were cut pretty straight (I asked for round) and it looks like there is still some dirt on the sides of my big toe nails. The owner (I think) was very nice and did my nails. She did a great job - they are short and round as requested, no hang nails and clean cuticles. Price was $60 plus tip. Very reasonable. The salon itself is a little on the older side, yet still clean and appeared hygienic.

I'm usually calling day‑of for a gel mani/pedi, and they always find a way to fit me in. They'll even give me a call if they're able to get me in sooner. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and so appreciated. I always leave extremely happy with my nails and toes. The care, effort, and pride they put into their work really shows. Everyone is always smiling and doing whatever they can to make you comfortable (for me, that usually means turning the heat on when it's cold). First of all, the solution she uses is definitely much higher quality than others (still organic). It covered my tan lines (apple watch, anyone?) more than any tan I've gotten in the past, which already gave this tan bonus points. But the real benefit is the color. Not a shade or tinge of orange. It looks so natural on my skin and mimics exactly how I would look if I tanned naturally. But unlike a natural tan, there's no sun damage and the solution cured in 4 hours, since it's an express formula. Second, besides being friendly and sweet, Ashley is super accommodating. She does mobile tans - so helpful - and came to my house for the trial (where she also did my mom on the fly), and is also coming out to the Airbnb I'm staying at before my wedding to do my tan, as well as doing my mom and her friend at a different location a few days prior. Her pricing is competitive or better than other artists in the area, and she has special deals for larger groups. If you live in the area or want to do a tan for a special occasion nearby, I highly recommend Ashley. You will LOVE your tan after seeing her!

Cindy did my waxing. The wax was too hot and now I have a burn mark on my stomach. She also spilled wax on my pants. Not to mention I scheduled my appointment weeks in advance and I still had to wait 15 minutes to be seen because she took was helping a customer at modern nails. This place suck. My family has been coming here for quite some time, and we truly like almost everyone who works there. Unfortunately, there is one of the sisters (I'm not sure of her name) whose customer service has consistently been very unpleasant. My mother, my daughter, and I have all had similar experiences with her. She often handles our hands and feet very roughly, abruptly moving them instead of asking us to reposition them. More importantly, she comes across as rude, unkind, and unfriendly throughout the appointment. I understand everyone can have an off day, but this has happened repeatedly, which is why I felt compelled to say something. No customer should leave feeling uncomfortable or poorly treated. My hope is that the salon sees this as constructive feedback rather than simply a complaint. We enjoy supporting this business and would love to continue coming here, but every customer deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism. I sincerely hope this issue is addressed.
