Nancy did a beautiful job on my nails! She has such a fun and bubbly vibe! Had such a blast!!read more

These pictures were taken the day after my appointment. Once I got home and looked closely, I saw…read morehow bad my nails were: lumpy, uneven, overly thick, and badly shaped. They were clearly poorly done, showing how she put no care or real effort into my nails. On top of that, she caused me some of the worst pain I've ever had from a nail appointment. About a week and a half later, my pinky nail started lifting, which was extremely painful and a clear sign the acrylic was applied incorrectly. She was passive-aggressive throughout, calling me old and saying my head looked too big for my body in a backhanded way. When she started on my nail design, she became openly insulting, condescending, and belittling. I have auditory processing issues, and I'm on the spectrum, so explaining things concisely is one of my biggest struggles. Even with a reference photo for her, I struggled to answer her questions in a way that satisfied her. She told me I was giving her a headache and kept repeating the same few words, louder and more irritated, over and over again, when I would try to ask for clarification. I felt really uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. In the end, my sisters' and my nails cost $300--$150 for what are honestly the worst acrylics I've ever gotten. She rushed to finish so quickly that I didn't even get to properly check them until I got home, when it was obvious how bad, painful, and poorly done they were.

Just had my first manicure with Shelby on Wednesday. She was amazing! I was very impressed with her…read moreprofessionalism, friendliness, the cleanness and organization of her shop, her attention to detail, her creativity, her artistry, and how she didn't rush through doing my manicure. She was very gentle and I never had any pain. So, often manicurists are trying to rush and end up filing your skin, or are rough about it, but not Shelby. It was the most pleasant and relaxing manicure I have ever had. Shelby also educated me about gel nail polish, i.e., don't pick at it, peel it off, or try to remove it myself as it will damage the nails. She has an incredible variety of products for different nail art and design styles and it is all incredibly organized and clean. I had her do googly eyes and spider webs on my right hand and cat eyes and whiskers on the left for Halloween. The googly eyes and spider webs look even better than the picture I showed her to copy from Pinterest. The cat eyes are cute too. I can't stop staring at my nails, especially the googly eyes. I wish I could attach a picture of them to this review. Everyone who has seen my nails has loved them. A few ladies have even asked for Shelby's number. I highly recommend Shelby for getting your nails done. She also does hair removal and pedicures, but I didn't use those services. She told me she only works on natural nails, so if you are looking for acrylics, you need to find someone else. As for me, I will definitely be back to see Shelby in the future.

I've been a client of Shelby's for almost 4 years now, and I have never been disappointed. Shelby…read moreis a true artist and professional, dedicated to making sure her clients feel beautiful when they leave her salon. She pays attention to every single detail; my nails always look perfect and I receive so many compliments from family and friends. I get them done every 4 weeks, and they last the entire time between appointments. It's been fun to get creative with my nails - I'm usually a minimalist when it comes to polish, but over the years we've done some fun nail designs with stickers, freehanded nail art, and chrome or magnetic details. I've also had a few dry pedicures with Shelby over the years, which are absolutely luxurious! If you haven't had a dry pedicure, I cannot recommend Shelby's service enough - it is ultimate pampering with hot towels, a scrub, and a rich, moisturizing cream, amongst other relaxing steps. Shelby is also passionate about continuing her education and refining her craft. And to top it all off, she's a lovely human inside and out. I'm lucky to have found her and Nails by Shelby, and I'm lucky to call her one of my friends. She is truly the best!!

I was in the area and no longer have a regular nail salon so I tried here today. It's behind the…read moreFirestone and has a parking lot. It's all hispanic and there were several ladies in there learning instruction on how to do nails, and I thought it was pretty cool. The young lady that did my mani and pedi didnt speak English but that wasn't an issue. She seemed quite nervous at the beginning but she calmed down. I chose orange for my hands and feet. She did a great job but I got the $45 pedi that came with exfoliation, and I thought she would use the 'cheese grater' (what I call it) on my feet but she didn't. And the basic pedi ($35) came with warm towels but the $45 one didn't? Anyway, I paid $90 for my services with some taxes which came to $97. Pricey? A little, but it's what I've become used to. I would go again if in the area, but wouldn't make it my normal spot simply because of my preference with the foot exfoliation.

I did get my pedicure for five dollar discount would have preferred the full experience. Probably could've done a better job at decreasing the price of five dollars I think it should've been 10, but I still tipped the gal. I don't like the fact that the callus removing part is used with that paddle instead of one of the steel graters. I feel like I spent money on a very poor experience. My first time in your salon, and unfortunately, I need to say that I will not be back.
