When the spa first opened, I was thrilled to have local alternative to driving into Atlanta. After living in McDonough for 45 years, The Honeycomb Cottage quickly became one of my favorite spots. Even after moving, I continued to visit and maintained a membership for over a year and a half. I eventually paused my membership because I had accumulated several unused credits, planning to use those up before restarting. Unfortunately, a series of frustrating experiences has made me decide not to return at all: * I once arrived for a facial and waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time. I later overheard staff discussing that the aesthetician hadn't shown up and couldn't be reached. Another team member eventually worked me in. * On another visit, my niece and I scheduled facials together. Once again, one of the aestheticians didn't show up, causing delays and confusion. * At another visit, my massage appointment was canceled shortly before my scheduled time due to the therapist having car trouble. While I understand that things happen, I was rescheduled for the following day--only to arrive and find that I wasn't on the schedule. Thankfully, a therapist happened to still be there and kindly stayed to do the massage, even though he was about to leave. * I also once scheduled a HydraFacial, only to learn upon arrival that the machine was broken. I wasn't notified in advance, which was frustrating since the spa enforces a 24-hour cancellation policy but didn't extend the same courtesy to me. This seems to be a common problem and the appointment should have never been scheduled due to it being broken. * When trying to call to make an appointment you have to call several times before getting someone to answer the phone and help. I also tried reaching out to the business about these concerns. It took several weeks of follow-up calls before I finally received a response. They seemed to not really care and make excuses for the actions of the spa taking no blame or ownership of the actions. After they finally got back to me, I was told they would give me a free service, but when I arrived, they had no record of it. Fortunately, I had the email where I was told this. I did use the credit but this was not something that magically makes their actions ok. I hope the spa will improve the client experience going forward. I loved The Honeycomb Cottage in its earlier days and would love to see it return to that standard of reliability and care. Unfortunately, based on my recent experiences, it feels as though the staff and management don't prioritize communication or accountability the way they once did.

You can understand why I was reluctant to get one. Most of my days are spent bare-faced, so there is no time to cover pimples. My facial with Angelique was nothing like the others I've had. I've been getting Botox for almost 10 years and this is now one of my favorite places (the other was a plastic surgeon to give you an idea of comparison). Courtney did an amazing job with my Botox. She credited my health regimen to no bruising but no, it's her careful eye and steady hand. She also fixed my recent cheek filler from someone else to make it much more sexy yet natural. I wanted my lips done too but was hesitant from a bad experience. After seeing Grace's I was sold. Courtney listened to what I wanted, giving me a soft, natural and oh-so kissable pout. She was even kind enough to inform me that the product I needed to fit that result was $100 more but it was well worth it. It's always a bit nerve racking to trust a new spa with your face, but their professionalism was apparent, including a very clean office. No gimmicks, only skill and genuine care. I went to Courtney for the number one line between my eyebrows and now have a linear lump above my eyebrow. It is puffy and edematous following the frontalis muscle. It has been over 4 months. It is very noticeable. It looks like a mini Klingon! The botox treatment did not help the line either. As a result, I have developed another wrinkle above the left eyebrow as this muscle has had to compensate for the other paralyzed muscle.
