I even lived out of state and would fly home and be sure to get my hair done by Lisa! Her knowledge of hair, color, along with what is new and trending styles is superior and will continue going to her until we grow old and NOT GRAY! lol I am extremely impressed with Salon A where she has been for 2 years now. Salon A accepted customers not wearing a mask,. She personally said to me that she thought the whole Covid Pandemic was nonsense, and she thought people were just sick. I stopped going, as I found her to be a bit of a health hazard. There is much more to being a good hair stylist then putting color on your hair. To me, this takes much more. I had just moved to Garden City and hadn't found a make up artist yet , so after my blow dry at the salon they offered me a complimentary make up refresher with Melissa. I was in a time crunch and asked her to just do my whole face. I was sooooo nervous, but WOW she slayed it!!! I looked like a movie star! I was so sad to find out she only had 2 weeks left working at the salon because she was having a baby. So I got her cell and later asked her if I could come to her house out east for make up. They saw an opportunity to make more money and double book the place we had already reserved in full. They wanted to put my fiancé and the bridal party in the "back room " and the other party up front. When this was all going down, they told us the other bride was "only" getting married at the venue across the street from their location, as if that would somehow make this debacle acceptable. Oh, and then, they tried selling us on they would have everyone done in 3 short hours, bride, wedding party, flowers girls, etc. . So the biggest day of my fiancé's life, she supposed to share that with other women she doesn't know despite having booked the ENTIRE place 2 years out?!?!??! And it would a rush job!?!?!? RUN from this place and find a company that is professional and honors the commitments it makes to its clients.
