These guys are back to their old tricks. Back when they started they consistently short counted but…read morethen seemed to have a change of management and cleaned up there act for a bit. A couple months ago we counted all our bottles and they only came in a little bit short, little enough to attribute to honest error. Lately however, they have reverted to old tricks. The last couple times, including today, they are about 15% short. my first 50 water bottles netted $2.10 then about 10% short thereafter. I'd count 103, he'd type in 92. This was so consistent I asked for a manager. He said he would check the cameras and call me. Twenty minutes later he called to say it looked like I had been shorted by 7 bottles. This was clearly not true. Best advice, count and label your bottles or expect them to skim 10-20%.

They had a grocery cart with many bags of empty's. My wife showed me a Facebook post a few days ago with a video of the same person in the Terwillegar community going into peoples yards/garages stealing empty's so I followed this guy to the Greene bottle depot in Windermere. I went to tell the employees that we're servicing the thief that they were assisting a criminal with stolen bottles and they said that they've also seen the same video online of this guy stealing bottles and showed it to him and then they pretended like they weren't going to assist the thief but they ended up completing the transaction anyways after I went back to my truck to call the police. If the Greene bottle depot would help their community by not servicing people that they know are stealing bottles from the surrounding area then the thief's would stop coming back.

They deliver a truck, retrieve it at the end of the drive, quickly and accurately sort the bottles, and e-transfer the proceeds to our rescue, usually within one day. This is my new go to Bottle Depot. It is hidden in an industrial area just of 97th Street around…read more41st Ave. I started going here because it is right on my route to work in the morning since my office location moved. I used to go to the Strathcona Depot as it was the closest to my home but now this location is super convenient to just drop off my bottle on my way to or from work. So far I have dropped off bottles there about 3-4 times in the morning around 8:30-9:00 during the week when they first open. No waiting for me so far. The place is your standard bottle depot. They have about 4 counters to drop your bottles off. The staff are quick, efficient and pleasant. The place is clean and tidy. They have a washing station to wash your hands after handling your bottles. If you live/work on the south side close to this location it is a great choice for you to use.

Better than taking your stuff to the dump!…read more The Eco Station is GREAT for taking recycling your electronics, paints (they have a free pick up program), scrap metal (think trampoline or swing set), and large household furniture that is broken. They do their best to sort through it later so that it doesn't just fill up a landfill. The staff are always FRIENDLY - yes, totally they are - and helpful. Absolutely love this place. At times the line up can be quite long so you're better off going during the middle of the day. Fees are quite reasonable for disposal here and some items are free to leave here like electronics. All you have to do is drive around the back of the building, choose the correct lane (sorted or unsorted) and when it's your turn you back into an empty space and start unloading! They have a 4 BIG windows to take you bottles to. They have a computer screen facing the window and once they begin counting and entering you can see the total. The staff here is friendly and they are VERY efficient. I've never had to wait long either in line or while they count.
