**RV SITE REVIEW** A…read morecouple weeks back me and my dad camped for one night at Goose Creek State Park, and we stayed at RV site #20. This RV site was fantastic. All of the sites were flat (which is what you want), and offered plenty of privacy (The sites were very spacious from one another). All RV sites consist of 30 and 50 amp hookups, as well as a connection to fresh water, and a sewage pipe. The bath house was new and clean. It was modern on the inside, offered hot water (even in 20 degrees), and was well taken care of. The camp host does a great job at taking care of this site. I would highly recommend that you stay/visit Goose Creek when you can. It is a great hidden spot that offers a wide array of trails and activities.

My review, nor the stars have changed, but…read moresometimes when I am looking through reviews of other places, I like to read the most recent in case things have changed a bit. Well, nothing has changed, except maybe it is better, although I am unsure how that is possible. Becky is truly one of the most gracious hostesses ever! Each room is just as welcoming and warm for your arrival. Your name awaits you on the door, and a piece of chocolate is calling your name from the nightstand beside the bed. Water, and other beverages are in the fridge in the foyer/hallway upstairs outside of the rooms, with any extra amenities you may want to use, such as when you forget your toothpaste, or if you want to use the iron, etc. We went in December so the house was so eloquently decorated for Christmas. Becky always accommodates any special needs or requests for breakfast, such as nut allergies and hubs and I being vegetarian since the last time I frequented the Moss House. Becky is also always equipped with local restaurant recommendations, as well as fun things to do in the area. A little extra thing that I love, The Moss House has it's own little soap in the bathroom. They leave you a little bag to take the soap that remains home with you, so (1), you are not wasting soap by leaving it and it getting thrown away, and (2) You can enjoy the herbal soap at home, because it truly smells amazing! We've now stayed in all of the rooms available and I truly love each room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of them as they are all wonderfully accommodating and cozy!

Washington is a sleepy town but very pretty and peaceful. The Moss House had pleasant large rooms with modern amenities and lots of old fashioned charm. Our hosts went above and beyond to help us book dinner reservations and a sunset river cruise. They even had chocolate cupcakes to celebrate my boyfriends birthday! The rooms were very comfortable and really inviting. But the reason I will be returning? The breakfast! Both mornings the breakfast was interesting and made wonderful use of the local produce. There was plenty of fruit and local vegetables and we both indulged our sweet tooths with the pastries and sweet rolls! A fabulous find in a sleepy little town!

My flight was delayed for maintenance issues and I sat inside the required gate area and was informed... not to exit since TSa is closed. So no food, no going uber to restaurant. I'm not even sure if a door dash or delivery could come here, it's a strict couple of employees working that I wouldn't want to even ask. Beautiful big window viewing area w beautiful sunset coming in at 5 pm to 7pm... took some pics and we did exit tarmac and saw a really neat private plane... a 4 seater Cirrus SR 22... Luckily I had 2 pieces of cheese in my purse and I bought some unique items out of the vending machine.... chipotle chips peanut butter protein balls, chocolate milk, and a Vega peanut butter bran looking cookie. Not happy but grateful it wasn't just a candy machine. Pray for me that I get a flight out soon and locate dinner somehow. FML

Usually only service 1 gate so boarding or getting your luggage out from arrival is very quick. Clean and there is WiFi available if you need to do some work. They also has the nicest TSA staffs I ever been encountered with They used park the plane and let you walk on the tarmac but I guess now due to security reason you have to board and de plane from the skybridge which is a bummer.

This is the most peaceful campground we have ever stayed at... beautiful, clean and serene. BUT, what makes this place special are the owners. They are two of the most awesome people we have ever met and they sincerely want their guests to enjoy every single minute of their stay. Everything we needed was only a short drive, but it seemed like we were many miles away. If you have children, this may not be your place, but if you're looking for a little slice of heaven... it's right here.

If you're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to relax then this is your place. This place truly feels like home away from home. It is very clean and well maintained. They have a large stocked catch and release fishing pond for those that like to fish. So be sure to bring your fishing rod. The campground also has some very large, wide open areas for kids to run and play. The owners, Wayne and his wife are very friendly and helpful hosts. We enjoyed meeting them and some of the other campers staying there. We will definitely be back to stay here again soon.

The Inn is situated on a quiet street just a few short blocks from the downtown area. We stayed in the Blue room ( largest room) which has the most comfortable king size bed, large bathroom and first rate amenities. Coffee, exquisite teas, and a large variety of snacks and water are available right outside the rooms. We felt right at home in this comfortable, clean and cozy house. We were able to easily walk to the shops and restaurants in town. You must visit the owners "Provisions" store also located downtown which contains unique gifts, artisanal and gourmet items, and many other treasures. We absolutely LOVE the Inn and plan on returning when we make our next trip heading south. Visiting Little Washington should not be missed by anyone.

Once we settled into our digs at When Pigs Fly, we decided not to go to Wilmington at all! We stayed the full last leg of our vacation in Washington because of this little Inn. So cute and the hosts are so kind and accommodating. There's a coffee/tea bar with snacks, a reading nook with many books to borrow, and TVs with streaming services. It's a quiet, quaint stay. We loved it. And Washington has great antiquing and nice IBX waterfront views.

So, after getting done with some golf in Minnesott Beach, I figured what the hell, let's go see…read moreanother NC ferry. Overall the drive from Minnesott Beach to the Aurora ferry terminal couldn't be any easier. There really isn't much out there. It's about 45 minutes and I only encountered a little bit of traffic towards the end from a few trucks entering/exiting the large phosphate facility near the terminal. This, like Cherry Branch/Minnesott Beach is another run where the schedule stays the same year round but be mindful that there are only seven round trips a day versus the Cherry Branch which has more than double that. Granted if you miss the last boat and are heading south, it's not the end of the world to head west and go through Bath & Washington. www.ncdot.gov/travel-maps/ferry-tickets-services/routes/Pages/default.aspx On the Aurora side there's really nothing there. I believe a single building which has restrooms, a few covered picnic benches and that's that. Fairly light load over to Bayview with maybe six or seven cars on the Governor Daniel Russell. Loading took a little extra time due to each person being asked to show ID at the gate but with such a light load, we still left a minute or two early. The Russell has an excellent outside deck on the 2nd level of the boat which is perfect for a great view/pictures/enjoying the breeze. The crossing took a little less than 30 minutes and once you get off in Bayview I believe you technically are continuing on 306 sort of like taking the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke where you are still on 12. It's easy and it's free. The only slight noteworthy thing would be to have any vehicular gas needs in order in advance as there's not a whole lot close to the terminal on either side.
