I brought a brand-new coral Guess shirt, with tags attached, to this business for alterations. When I got home and removed the plastic wrapping, I discovered multiple brown stains all over the shirt, and the original tags had been removed. I immediately contacted the business and returned the shirt so they could correct the issue. After multiple trips back and repeated promises, the stains were still not fully removed, and additional discoloration appeared on the shirt. When I requested a refund for the damage caused to my brand-new shirt, the business refused and instead treated me with hostility, including calling me "crazy." I trusted this business with a brand-new item, and it was returned damaged. They refused to take responsibility, refused to refund me, and handled the situation unprofessionally. Update: I bought a new shirt, because I liked it so much. The amount of chemicals they used to treat this shirt and remove the stains that they caused, caused such severe discoloration. I brought three dress shirts in to be dry cleaned. When I went to pick them up a few days later, they were on hangers and in plastic. One of the owners processed my credit card and would have let me leave the store as if nothing was wrong when I noticed that the bottom of one of the shirts was shredded. The bottom six inches or so of the shirt was missing. The owners (a couple) both denied responsibility and insisted I brought the shirt in that way--a completely absurd lie. They refused when I asked them for compensation for the shirt. They merely returned $2.50 to me for the dry cleaning of that shirt. I won't be back. I was never impressed with their service anyway. They promote same-day service but often declined to provide it--even when dry cleaning was brought in early. I understand that mistakes happen; perhaps one of their machines was not working properly and it shredded the shirt. In that case, own up to it and take responsibility by compensating the customer for your mistake. The owners of Beau Brummel Cleaners clearly lack the character to do that. read more

I dropped my custom made carpet runner at Beau Brummel cleaners last Thursday to be cleaned. My husband went in yesterday (a week later) to pick it up and they told him - very rudely- that it wasn't ready. I returned to the store the next day to pick up the carpet. The woman nervously handed me a wrapped hanger with my carpet on it, which I thought was odd because when I've had it cleaned in the past it usually comes back rolled up. Not sure what made me look, but I opened the plastic and found that they had completely ruined my runner. The backing is gone and the whole thing is mis-shapen. The really sick part is she knew full well that the carpet was ruined and world have taken my money and let me walk out of her store with no remorse whatsoever. The owner and her husband were INCREDIBLY rude to my husband and me and refused to reimburse us for the cost of the runner. They LAUGHED at us when we told them that the runner cost $200 and did not offer to compensate us in any way. I have NEVER experienced such terrible, hostile service. I just moved to the neighborhood and I should have brought just one shirt to test them out. But with the move I haven't been to the dry cleaners in almost a month and I was running out of clean work shirts. I've visited many dry cleaners in my 10 years of wearing suits to work every day. In this case I brought 10+ custom shirts, 1 hugo boss suit, and 2 merino wool sweaters. All expensive items. First off, all my shirts are monogrammed with my initials and for some reason they still felt the need to write the first 3 letters of my last name on them with permanent marker. Now all my expensive custom shirts have cheap looking permanent marker on them. Thanks. I really appreciate you ruining my clothing. Also, it seems they use a dirty press machine or perhaps they don't take the time to clean their equipment. All of my cuffs and collars were slightly discolored brown. Perhaps they're burned from excessive heat. I've never had that happen before. The suit seemed like it was so pressed with a lot of heat. The pants seemed a bit more snug than before but maybe I just need to lay off the bagels, but otherwise seemed ok. The sweaters seemed ok, but I noticed they were a bit fuzzier than before. I will not be returning to this establishment. I considered filing a complaint and asking them to pay for my shirts but I have better things to do with my time. For the prices they charge you'd think they'd at least take time to do the job right and writing with permanent marker on my clothing without permission is completely unacceptable. read more

They conveniently lost two of my most expensive Robert Graham shirts and when they had no answers they stopped speaking English and refused to do anything about it but laugh. The husband can't tie his own shoes no less find your clothes. I was told numerous times that my clothes weren't there and after refusing to leave the store until they were found they eventually turned up. They also smashed all of the buttons on my other Robert Graham shirt and then tried to charge me for them. They burned a brand new blazer of mine. They blamed defective material. I have researched the issue online and the problem is clearly the result of the press being too hot. In addition, I contacted the company and they don't have other complaints about this collection of garments. I have been a fairly high volume customer at this cleaners since I moved to the area in 2005. When my husband brought the garment back, they would not even refund the price I paid them to clean it. They ruined my camel wool coat. It looked liked they dried it with a rock in the machine. It also had grey lint on it...it was a beige coat. When I went to complain, I was told by the owner that I brought it in that way, and they could not clean my coat properly because it was a cheaper fabric. They also would not refund the $16 I paid to have it cleaned. I was also screamed at by the manager in another language, and then he said something rude in that language about me while his employees laughed. What a horrible experience. I have been a faithful customer at the dry cleaner for the past 3 years. With that said, I no longer patronize the location! About 6 months ago while waiting to drop and pick up shirts, the male owner was very rude to a customer who had a complaint. They went back and forth until the owner was so incredibly hostle and rude the customer left. Thinking to myself I've never had an issue I dismissed it as an overly emotional customer. Last Friday 7/8/16 it was my turn! Earlier that morning as my husband chose a shirt, we noticed a collar was damaged from over pressing during the ironing process. We were not happy about it but it wasnt the end of the world right. As I went to pick up and drop off additional garments I brought the damaged shirt with me to show them the damage with no expectations of remedy, just an FYI. I entered the dry cleaners, handed her my ticket and while she was retrieving my shirts I showed her the damaged one still on the hanger with the plastic around the collar. She then gestures to her husband. As he walks over he immediately raises his voice and yells while insisting its worn from age. I just last week spent $ 50.00 which is easy to do and at least $ 25.00 per week. He offered no customer service as he yelled for me to leave his establishment! The level of their rudeness was unparalleled! As I looked beside me, a customer was standing with an armful of clothing to be dropped and must have been thinking what I was when the owner was yelling at the customer 6 months prior! With that I turned to her and said I was not a hysterical customer just a customer who had an item damaged and had witnessed this same treatment to another customer as well. My advice........ Do not patronize this establishment because sooner or later they WILL DAMAGE something of yours and it won't matter how long you have been a customer..........THEY WILL THROW YOU OUT OF THEIR STORE, with no remedy or recourse. As a loyal customer I deserved better than that! FYI ...........it was an expensive shirt, but the hostle treatment was worse than the loss of a shirt! read more
