Best shop in town. Ryan and his team are always friendly, helpful, and quick to get you back to riding! Extremely knowledgeable and they never just try to push a sale on you. Highly recommend for new riders just getting started, and seasoned pros will appreciate the no BS here! read more

Ryan took care of everything I expressed needed done and more. Additionally, the bike was finished ahead of what was expected. Out of all the bike shops I've been to beat cycles is by far the best and I won't be going anywhere else. read more

DISASTER! EMERGENCY! just before setting off on a cross country bike trip, DH's back tire decided to act up. In great distress, we looked up options on Yelp and found an open shop just a few miles away. Quickly loading up the bike, we drove over. They were able to fit him in right away and get the tire fixed up for a very reasonable price, sending him off on time for a Grand Adventure. Helpful, friendly, well - stocked, inexpensive.. What more can you ask of a neighborhood bike shop? Give them a try! read more

Everyone was very nice, HUGE selection of bikes from bmx to MTB. Great store, great people read more

Beat Cycles - Water bottle - Bikes Near Me - Lakewood, Ohio

Got my older bike tuned up here about two weeks and they did a great job. I've put on a good amount of mileage since and have no complaints. The price for the tune up was super fair too. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

My husband and I recently bought bikes from Beat Cycles and I was blown away by their customer service. When we first wandered in to the shop, we had no idea what we wanted. The owner, Ryan, talked to us about how we intended to use the bikes, where we planned to ride, etc to recommend the perfect bike for us. One of my favorite things about the shop is that they offer a free maintenance in the first year of owning your bike and free minor repairs throughout the year. They've already replaced a screw that fell off my bike while riding. I'd definitely recommend Beat Cycles to anyone looking to purchase a new bike! read more

Just got my high mileage hybrid back from Beat after a long overdue overhaul. It's SO NICE, so absolutely NICE! I don't think my ride ever shifted so well. read more

The Beat Cycles team is absolutely incredible! I was recommended to visit their shop by a friend who's heavily into cycling. I'm so glad that I did because they helped me navigate getting a great starter mountain bike (Cannondale) and gravel/adventure bike (Salsa Journeyman). Ryan took his time on the phone with me to put me at ease about coming to their shop and walked through some options with me based on my height, price and what functionality I was looking for in a bike. Every person I connected with during my time at the shop, super knowledgeable and kind. They were also incredibly willing to help. If you're in the market for either a new bike or just need a tune up and some advice, check out Beat Cycles. You won't be disappointed. Bonus, they're local! read more

Helpful, smart staff who are willing to give all the time you need. Great local bike shop.

This review is over due, but necessary so please read it. As a foreword, I am probably the worst customer there is. I am the kind of person that takes a lot of time, attention, I ask a million questions, and go back and forth about how I might spend my money, and the guys at Beat cycles really went above and beyond to help me find a bike that, having ridden it a bit, has changed my love of riding bikes in the best way possible. I had been looking to buy myself a new mountain bike after taking a relative hiatus from the activity. The team at Beat listened to me, answered my questions, updated me on all the new information. And I asked them a lot of questions...and probably wasted way more time than anyone should. But they never wavered in their sincerity in helping me, and never made me feel they weren't taking me serious about buying a bike or feel like i should already know everything about bikes. They were really laid back, not arrogant, and really went the extra mile to make sure I knew what I was looking for, and in the end of all of the saga, they helped me find a bike that was perfect for me and I haven't had this much fun in a really long time. They had a lot of great products and brands to choose from and in the store there is a lot of great gear, accessories and local information to check out as I continued to lament on what bike to buy--the bike that ended up being perfect for what I wanted, actually cost me significantly less than the originally budget I told them I wanted to be within. They also knew a lot about mountain biking/general riding in the area, where to go to get comfortable on the trails, and have been super inviting to come ride with the guys that regular the store without making me feel bad for being "slow"..they know it's all about riding your bike and having fun. Thanks a lot guys. I freaking love my new element. read more

Such a friendly little bike shop in Lakewood. I brought my bike for its yearly tune up today, they gave me some great tips on maintenance I can do on it, and even showed me how to put it on my bike rack properly. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who is new to bike riding and needs some expertise. read more

The people there fixed my two-year old brake problem in 15 minutes. Great service, definitely recommended.

I've been by here many times, but never stopped until last week. I was enjoying a summer ride on my Kona Fire. I made it to Lakewood Park when my chain snapped in half. The pin was gone. It was time for a replacement anyway. Well I didnt want to wait for one to come in the mail so I took my bike here. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. Gave me the exact chain I needed and a good one at that. I wanted to install it myself so I took everything home and made the attempt. Well I was lacking a tool to connect the chain together. So I figured I'd bite the bullet and bring it back. The guy working the repair station got it on in seconds and to top it off, he didnt charge me because I had already done over half the work. Definitely will be returning in the future read more

Fantastic service and sales. Very personable people! I purchased a Quick 6 here a few months back. Today I visited to have my bike tuned up. They adjusted the brakes, pumped up the tires, adjusted the handle bars, and tuned the gears to help keep the chain from rubbing. I am a new rider (haven't had a bike since I was in my teens). These guys are more than capable of assisting all levels, though. My fiance has had her bike tuned up and purchased a bike lock from them. I like it much better than the one I purchased elsewhere. I will absolutely be back for some accessories! read more

Best cycle place around. Super knowledgeable staff, great selection and accessories'. Always helpful with tweaks, upgrades and repairs

Mike and Ryan were so helpful and knowledgeable! They led me toward a variety of bikes that provided exactly what I needed. Took a couple test rides, and went with the Norco Indie. And they mounted the rack and water bottle holder! Rode the bike out of the store and couldn't be happier! read more

Highly recommend Beat Cycles. Excellent customer service. High quality products- perfect for the leisure, commuter or competitive rider. Recently bought a CHROME brand backpack...happy with the purchase. read more

This place was fantastic! I got a cheap bike from Walmart that had a lot of issues (most likely due to self assemblage and no experience) so I took it in to beat and they fixed all of the issues super quick and for a great price. The customer service and general atmosphere of the place was great and you can tell the people who work there genuinely love what they do and are happy to help anyone out. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I attained all my bike knowledge from Ryan, Mike and a bit of youtube. This is hands down the best shop in the area and possibly the best in the world. i get everything i need here. The owner helps me with last minute repairs, parts requests and finishes every job quickly and with utmost quality. I've been coming here for about 3 years now and it is my go-to shop. I've purchased nearly my entire inventory of bike goods here, 1 bike and another mountain bike soon. these guys specialize in mtb but can handle anything from your dead grandpa's old ride to a $10k TT bike. they treat everyone equally from a seasoned racer to just someone trying to get a bike to ride around town. Most of the time they will even offer you a beer but if they don't it's only because their busy so just ask - their fridge is always full. read more

Awesome experience! They are so helpful and friendly. The last time I purchased a bike was years ago so I had many questions that were not only answered but also started conversations that peaked my interest even more! My next bike will be purchased from here. read more

What a fantastic place! Not only is the atmosphere very cool, but the bikes? Best around! I just bought a Cannondale Quick1 from Ryan and the bike and service were fantastic! I spent way too much and keep spending more! :) But with them? Gladly! Thanks for everything and it's great to make new friends in Lakewood! read more

A small and cozy shop run by a passionate proprietor. I've been in here shopping a few times, and my husband had a whole bike built there, so I've seen how they treat casual browsers and serious riders. Riders of all kinds will appreciate their relaxed but informed approach to selling. It's a friendly and casual place regardless of how much you ride or how much you want to spend. They seem to get that bikes should be fun. They have two main lines of bikes for riding of all kinds, and I really appreciate their carefully curated stock of accessories. With four bikes in my household, I can spread my bike love around, and I'm glad this shop is nearby. read more

Where do I start? This place is cool. The owner is heavily involved in the community, and it shows. When you walk in, you don't get a snooty elitist, you get real people that will talk beer and bikes with you any day. When I walk by on my way home from yoga, they wave through the window. When my repair tools were stolen from my saddle bag, they gave me a discount to replenish them. This place gives me a great feeling and I will keep coming back for it. read more

Very friendly service. Great range of bikes and biking accessories.

Great place! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Finds out about your riding habits and abilities and fits you to what your looking for. Doesn't try to talk you into something you don't need. Stands behind everything he sells and services 100%. read more

I just purchased a Habit through their website (I live in Chicago), and I was blown away by my experience. Ryan spent a lot of time on the phone walking me through the bike and shipping process. All of my questions were answered over the phone, or very quickly over email. Once it arrived, the bike was in perfect shape. It was clear that great care was taken to package it for a safe journey. Really happy with my experience - would recommend this shop to anybody. read more

I looked at all the bike shops in the area to find the right fit. My top priority was to find a shop where there was friendly, knowledgeable service. I bought a Cannondale Synapse Rival 4 from them last year. It was a large purchase for me so I took a lot of time deciding where to buy it. The bike is fantastic and the service is outstanding. I have taken it back in several times and they serviced it promptly. Can't be happier with my decision to buy from them. read more
