I recently came back from an amazing trip to east Africa and while I was there I picked up some great canvas paintings of Mount Kilimanjaro with the intent of having them framed back in the states. I must say, I am thoroughly pleased with the quality, customer service and advice from the ladies at Beard's. I keep going to this one store because the support and service are so over the top amazing. Christina is worth her weight in gold. She pays attention, she listens, she comes up with solutions, she gives her advice, she has real and clear answers when checking in on a project, she wants to help, and bottom line....she cares....and whatever the nature of any transaction is, there is no substitute for someone who actually cares that the customer is happy. I had a birthday present for my wife that was time sensitive, and which had some funky borders from the designer who did the print. Christina took her time with centering the piece, and asked me to come in and make sure it was ok before sealing it up, and when I wasn't sure if it wasn't centered, she double and triple checked with a tape measure, standing right next to me, and allowed me to do the same, and was never anything but patient and helpful. Wow, wow, and wow. (Christina, you are a gem. You not only earned my repeat business, but you have made someone happy on her birthday, and that was all I wanted to achieve in the end. We are very pleased with Beard's Framing. Their employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. They estimated a 3-week turnaround time but completed the job in 2. Their wide selection of framing material included a perfect match for our needs. They framed an odd-sized art puzzle with no mat. The inner edge of the frame aligns perfectly with the edges of the puzzle, resulting in no visible loss of any of the puzzle's image. Invisible shims around the edge of the puzzle keep the glass from touching the surface of the puzzle. We are 100% happy with the results and will use them again if we ever need more framing done. read more

This is an amazing frame store with customer focused staff. I walked in so nervous because I had 5 items that are not at all replaceable and if the framing job wasn't great or ruined them I would be devastated. I am happy to say they did a fantastic job. I do not have a design eye, but their manager took her time with us and helped us pick the perfect frame and matt for each item. The work is not inexpensive, but when it is something you value this is the perfect spot. The work done is something I show off on a regular basis. This shop does excellent work. I've been using them for a few years and have been consistently pleased. I do make sure to work with Emily, who is incredibly helpful, knowledgable, professional, and understands my preferences. I've framed (and reframed) old maps, lithographs, woodblock prints and oils here. In most cases I upgraded from old frames and glass that wasn't UV-protective. The prices seem about average -- I have paid a lot more -- and my artwork was finished and ready to pick up in pretty good time. They also have a kids-size table, chairs, and crayons and small toys to occupy your little one(s). Perfect results. Recommend. read more

Rachel, who helped me when i first came in, was professional, pleasant, and clearly knowledgeable about framing - 5 stars for her. the woman who helped (actually, hindered) me when i picked up my prints was quite the opposite. altho i was the only customer in the store, she seemed annoyed the entire time, and made no effort to hide it. i had to beg her for a plastic bag to protect my prints from the rain. then she stood passively at the counter while i struggled out the door with my bulky items; i think a passerby assisted me. my sister (smart woman) had encouraged me to get frames online for a fraction of the price. my experience is EXACTLY why online sales are killing brick and mortar stores: the products are often the same, and it's the service that justifies the physical trip and the higher cost. maybe the woman was having a very bad day. maybe i'll come back again. i can't say either for certain. read more

Because this store has a "look us up on Yelp sticker" on their front door, I will assume they take their reviews somewhat seriously. My comprehensive review is as follows: About 9 years ago I had an autographed drumhead, COA, and photo needing to be framed. We had it done here. The frame turned out to be much more than I paid for the original autograph, but I was still initially impressed by the quality of the frame when it was done. A few weeks later there was an adhesive issue to one of the pieces, and we took it back and Beards took care of it for free. Cool. A few weeks later; same issue, they took it back and re-did for free. Then the same issue happened a few weeks after that for the 3rd time. I didn't touch it for years because it didn't really bug me. I took it back in a few weeks ago when I moved back from college to get it fixed again. The woman at the counter wanted to charge me $20 for the fix but I had remembered that Beards never charged me in the past to fix the same thing. I told her that and she made a receipt for me for $0.00. Ok cool, they honor their work. While I was reading the receipt, the woman wanted me to hurry up and sign it and she said something like "it just means you agree we are taking it." Hey, I read things before I sign them. By the way, it says in the receipt that if I don't pick the frame up in 60 days after its done, they will either keep it or toss it. So I come back about a week later and nothing has been done to the piece after they called me and told me it was done. They literally wrapped it up in paper and marked it finished when no one even touched it. Uh what? I explained to the much nicer guy at the store that the piece could be removed or fixed, whatever was easier for them to do. I returned to the store on April 5, 2016 to find out that the piece was kind of fixed but not really. There must have been a total miscommunication on what should have been done. I finally drew up a diagram of what should be done and hopefully they understand it now. I will be the first one to admit that the piece is a really hard display but I was hoping they understood what I meant and didn't have to make two extra trips to the store. I should find out in a few days here. I've got another autograph I want to be framed but I want it done right. I want to give them one more shot at it because I don't mind helping out the local brick and mortar stores but if they can't do this much easier frame for a decent price then Im going to have to go somewhere else. Update: My frame was finally fixed and the store gave me a $100 credit towards my next frame. I just got the next one done a week later and it looks amazing. They redeemed themselves. I agree that they do nice work at this shop, but after having 5 projects done here at different times, 3 were done wrong - she listens to me as I'm telling her what I want done, but then it's like she forgets by the time she writes down the order - when I get the project back, it's not done to specs. My latest projects, I asked for them to be mounted above the mat board using spacers, so that the picture "floated" above the mat, but when I just got them back, they are just plain mounted under the mat..I could have bought a pre-made frame and put the pictures in them myself if I wanted it to look like that. I'm just done with Beards - I'm tired of not getting what I wanted, and tired of sounding like a complaining bitch when I tell her that it's not what I ordered. 3/25/15 edit - I want to thank Beard's for taking the time to call me and follow up on my comments. They made an honest effort to rectify the frame job...which WAS done very nicely. If these were for me, then I would have taken her up on her offer, but since they are for my nephews, they truly do look very nice and are fine.
