Wentworth Greenhouses - This was a wonderful Philodendron Birkin which is somewhat rare and we got a great price on it too.

I don't know where to start. This place is plant lover paradise. When I first walked in I was…read moreoverwhelmed with plant joy and thought I went to plant heaven. Weather you are new to the plant world or a seasoned gardener they have something for everyone. Houseplants galore, and the prices are amazing. I have found harder to find houseplants here for amazing prices allowing me to affordably build my houseplant collection. During the summer they have every kind of outdoor plant, flowers, trees, shrubs, etc. The inside boasts rows of gorgeous plants, succulents, herbs, houseplants super large and small. They sell gardening tools, soil, fertilizer, seeds/starter kits, plant remedies, gardening decor and have a beautiful selection of pots and planters too. I have seen snake plants here over 6-7 feet tall, enormous fiddle leaf figs, anything you can imagine they probably have it at some point. One part of the greenhouse has cute rustic house decor and gifts. During the winter months they still maintain a large houseplant selection, and turn a portion of the greenhouse into a beautiful Christmas wonderland full of beautiful Christmas decor. They also sell real Christmas trees, pine wreathes and pine decor. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. At one point over the summer I think I came here once a week! I am very happy that they are open during the winter months and are following all Covid safety precautions as well. Definitely helped me cope with 2020. I can't boast about them enough! Also, I'm happy to say that every plant that I have purchased from them has done well and I have never had any issues with pests.

Beautiful selection of plants both common and not so common. Was ecstatic to come here and be able…read moreto find something Jew I hadn't seen offered anywhere else before. A great place if you want to add anything to a plant collection!

Emma has forgotten more about plants than most nursery owners will ever know. She is a New England…read moreoriginal, a tough sturdy hard-working lady who runs a top notch nursery combining plain talk, good advice and the best plants. Almost everything I ever bought form other nurseries has died in my bitter cold and windy location; everything I ever bought from Emma is alive and well. She stocks only plants that were grown in cold regions, so no plants from Florida or Georgia that go into shock the minute you stick them into stony NH ground. She has surprisingly good variety too. You'll pay a little bit more, but it is well worth it. Her place is a but remote, so you'll think you are you are lost before you get there, but worth the trip. Best of NH in my book!

The only "problem" was that poor Emma was very short-handed, and with various landscaping jobs on her agenda she could not get the items we purchased delivered to us as soon as we'd have liked. However, once delivery was possible Emma, her husband, and a friend brought the truckload of trees and shrubs, unloaded them right where they were to be planted, and did so efficiently and with good humor. I very much appreciated the planting and care advice I was given, and look forward to as much enjoyment from these items as my husband and I have gotten from the beautiful Eastern Redbud, the spectacular Japanese fine-leaf maple and other plants we have purchased from Emma's in the past.
