My husband came here to get us some sandwiches for the first time. I had turkey with bacon. They were out of avocado but the sandwich was soooo good I didn't miss it. My husband had the pastrami melt which was also really good. We will definitely be back to this establishment. I'm so glad it's literally right around the corner from us. read more

Ok so the Market is a 3 but the sandwich bumped it up to a 4 star. Went with turkey sand the "Bear Valley Way." I asked for avo and bacon which didn't make it on sandwich but to be honest it didn't need it. Fresh veggies and the bread was crunchy on outside soft inside. The 6 inch is $9.99 and well worth the money. Much better than any local sando chain. Meat counter is small which is a bummer and was about 1/2 full of items. They do have a freezer full of Hook and Cleaver meat which is cool but no prices on most items. Tons of beer and beverage choices and great selection of liquor (although most didn't have prices visible). Sandwiches make it worth a stop in. But the no prices on items could make you crazy. read more

This place is AMAZING. They just opened last week and I was so impressed with everything they have to offer. The service is fantastic, the woman behind the deli counter is attentive and kind and very informative. The quality and price of the deli here is unmatched. Their produce looks very clean and fresh. We also buy the pollo asado and the flavor and quality is fantastic. We won't go anywhere else for deli meat since coming here! read more

Two people working. Good start. One person ahead of me for a sandwich at the deli. Not bad. 20 minutes and the first sandwich gets done, but the worker drops it on the floor. One person started taking money for purchases, so I thought I would pay and it would be quick and easy. I was very wrong! Since two people can't work on two different sandwiches, I get bumped back for another 20 minutes. I didnt have time to wait another 20 minutes for a sandwich and left without getting what I paid for. Either hire experienced deli workers or shut that part down. Nobody wants to wait 20+ minutes for an average sandwich. read more

Okay, so I had this Italian sandwich, and wow--it was really good. Wish I took a picture. The bread was fresh and had a nice crunch, but it didn't fall apart when I picked it up (huge win). Inside, there was a bunch of meats like salami, capicola, and prosciutto--super flavorful and just the right amount of salty. Best sandwich ive ever had! read more

Owners are a very nice married couple. The store is very clean and the deli sandwiches are amazing. The bread is crisp on the outside but so soft on the inside. They fill them with so much meat and veggies you can barely get your mouth around it. And they are so flavorful. read more

I just used Bear Valley Deli for a sandwiches as a snack to feed 20 people after a winery visit. They were so good. I had a dinner planned for later but everyone just wanted 2nds on sandwiches. The spicy pickles and peppers on the side were great too. Will definitely be using them again for any parties in the future. read more

I ordered the Italian sub, the turkey pesto and the turkey and roast beef sandwiches and I also bought some prepared chicken now for the sandwiches. They were all three great you can only eat half of the 6 inch. That's how big they are and the chicken the next day, I cooked it on the barbecue one of the best darn chickens you can ever have marinated I gave 20 thumbs up to this place, and the people running it are very friendly and informative the store itself very clean and classy, I hope they stay in business forever can't wait to get more chicken for dinner was so delicious read more

Stopped in to pick up a deli sandwich for lunch. Had the Italian which was fabulous! Best bread. Stacked full. Great value. Happy to see the sandwich in a biodegradable container - kudos! I also bought some homemade salsa. It was amazing! Family finished in 1 night. Will be coming here from now on for sandwiches and salsa. Looking forward to a kitchen and added items. Erica, the manager/owner, was super nice. Hope locals find this gem now that it's under new ownership. Good luck to them! read more

Man, this place is awesome. Every time I walk in, it's like seeing old friends--even though I'm just here for some steak and a bottle of whiskey. The folks behind the counter are super chill, always remember what I like, and never treat anyone like a stranger. There's just something easygoing and real about the vibe here. You walk in, grab what you need, maybe crack a few jokes with the owners, and leave feeling good. If you want a spot that treats you like family, this is the place to be. Couldn't ask for better service or friendlier people. Erica Lisa Mathew chris and Alex are amazing people!!!! read more

I just moved to this area approximately six months ago. This place was closed up until a few weeks ago. The bad reviews that are posted are obviously from a long time ago and a different owner. Tried it for the first time today absolutely incredible. one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever had. also looked around the store while I was waiting. Looks very convenient. Seems like they have just about anything you would need for the spur of the moment. Great liquor department also with their own separate walk-in beer refrigerator. So glad they opened this place. Very convenient and a fantastic deli. read more

Worst service ever! 3 people there working. No one greeted or said anything to me while I was waiting to purchase a drink. No one said be right with you or anything, they just looked at me and ignored me. Better off going to a gas station next time. Terrible selection too! No sugar free hydration drinks read more

Everything looks nice and fresh Prices and quality are good too. Sandwiches are the best 10/10.

Genuinely one of the only stores i go to at this point. Its got great sandwiches, has good service, and is a welcome part of the area! The owner is very nice and always personable! read more

Probably a very capable liquor store and mini mart. Bur talk about lost opportunity....deli section keeps random hours. Too bad. Because when someone "feels" like working the counter, the sandwiches and deli selections are awesome. Seems like whenever I'm in the mood for a classic and proper sub, no one feels like working. Shame, because we really need a good deli in the neighborhood. read more

Other than the prices being a little high, the service and the sandwiches were amazing. We will definitely be back for the food, just hoping the prices would be a bit more affordable in the near future. Otherwise this is an amazing Market and we will be back real soo read more

Awesome store, awesome selection. They are just opening up with new management but it's looking very promising!

really nice and convenient store with nice staff and good meat!! would recommend trying their sandwiches

This "market" charged me .50 for using my credit card for a purchase. One hundred percent markup on every unlabeled item and they charge me for their cost of doing business. "Shame me once, shame on you. Shame me twice, shame on me." I'll never go in there again. I don't even think it is legal in CA to charge for the use of a Credit Card. That is a good way to lose your Merchant account. read more

Just got over charged 20$ over on are bill that was supposed to add up to 46.56 and tried to charge me 67.56 For two 6 packs of stone beer and 2 packs of cigarettes When i confronted the clerk he was defensive and rude and started yelling at me and told me to shut up and not to talk to him that way I think the clerk is ripping off people by overcharging them and then pulling cash out the cash register and put it in his pocket what a scam should have called the cops The overall presence of the store is dirty and cluttered and Miss arranged inside there's beer in the cooler that is over a year expired we found I think twice about buying meat from that store that can't keep dust off their shelves how clean are they keeping the fresh meat area read more

Hadn't been here for a while but thought I'd stop in after smelling the outdoor smoker cooking tri-tip. A few years ago, I remember the tri-tip sandwiches as being amazing and worthy of the smell outside. But today, I don't know what has happened to this market, but the meat certainly smelled better than it tasted. The meat was overcooked, and I'm not even sure if was tri-tip. More like a overcooked corned beef texture. The bread was not really designed for tri-tip and they added some marinated and cooked carrots and peppers. Not my idea of a good tri-tip pairing. My diet coke tasted like plastic and I barely choked down about 60% of my sandwich because I had not eaten all day. If it weren't for the red licorice I purchased with the sandwich, it would have been a total loss. If you're hungry in this area and want a good tri-tip or smoked beef sandwich, keep driving south to Chuy's or J carters, or better yet, Calhouns on Washington. That's real smoked meat. Great market for snacks and sundries, but not smoked meat sandwiches. read more

They cook outside. I needed to use a restroom, they did not have it for customers yet they serve food ( maybe to go) so I went next door to use a restroom and spent my money there at that place where I used a restroom. Place is a dump! Way overpriced for any sort of beer! Go to stators down the street of you don't want to spend 50$ for 2 12 packs

I don't understand the other review...this place has killer tamales, a huge awesome beer selection, funky random stuff to buy (t shirts, sambul, pica frescas...etc) and great customer service. I'm not one to bitch about .50 cents though...maybe that person shouldn't go out and buy things if fifty dang cents breaks the bank. Suck it up suckers :) read more
