I asked for it to be turned off, but apparently that was not possible... unless I take my seven iron to the unit like Tigers exe wife (which the annoying thing deserves!) GET RID OF THAT BS PRESTON! Everyone was backed up on tee 1 by the time we started our tee time had passed by 20 min. On my wife's first turn after teeing off the marshal comes and tells us no teaching and to go to the range. Which okay if we were the hold up totally acceptable but we were waiting on the group in front of us, less than 100 yards. We only played one other hole then left. I just couldn't believe how big of a dick the guy was. Don't make your customers feel like it's their fault you have 6 groups backed up on the first hole.

I would recommend grabbing an extra few golf balls although hopefully you'll hit them straight and not lose any! If you're playing the front 9, I recommend a cart. It's pretty mountainous. The course is very beautiful and well maintained. The bathrooms are updated and clean. All in all, a great course! I'm not from Brigham City, so I always like to make a day out of coming to Eagle Mountain. Stop by Maddox for some fried chicken on your way home.

I have heard good things about the course, so next time I will need to give it a full try! The range was nice. There were quite a few people when we got there, but slowly people left. Maintenance had been lacking the past few years, but the 2015 season was much better. Even the practice green by the clubhouse is in great shape, where it used to be a mess. The clubhouse is retro in the best way, a step right back in time to the 1970s, with great views of the surrounding forest. Too bad the downstairs area is so underutilized, it could be a great cafe/bar area. Green fees and rentals are priced average for the area. But they also have specials throughout the season that makes this one of the better values in the area.

This golf course is a blast. Lots of elevation changes. You tee off to fairways 150-200 feet below…read moreyou and on some have second shots straight uphill. About every type of shot is covered--long and short par threes and fours, forced carries on a few, greens are lightning fast and it's amazing how the fairways are kept so lush and green, seeing how it's in the desert. At almost 7000 feet, your ball carries and rolls forever. Can be windy in the afternoon, so morning tee times are best. Purple Sage is a destination course with hotels nearby or just stop and play it if you have some extra time traveling on I-80. Green fees are ridiculously cheap...wish this course wasn't 800 miles from me. :)

Depending on the pin placement, some down hill or side hill putts might end up off the green. Higher altitude (Pocatello @ 4500 ft) shortens the course (half-club to full club longer than at sea level). Only hit driver twice. Almost all par 4s are less than 400 yards. Fun course, enjoyable.
