Third, the layout is a bit odd, and I wonder if the have changed said layout in the last few years because my gps had no idea what was going on. The staff and Course Marshall were very friendly and overall professional. The food at the restaurant was quite good, and fairly priced. We enjoyed a few bacon burgers with fries and chips. Conditions were excellent with well manicured fairways and greens. Unfortunately the wind did not agree with that and blew the tent down about 20 minutes before the wedding was about to start. The staff went into super hero mode moving the entire wedding to the patio and the reception indoors. They kept their guests happy with the fully stocked bar and 5 tvs of football while we waited. The wedding turned out beautiful and if you had showed up late you would have no idea that it was supposed to be somewhere else (unless you went down to the course and saw the fallen tent lol). I had an amazing time and my friend looked beautiful and happy with her new husband and the sudden change of plans.

One of the nice amenities was storage for ski's at the bottom of the mountain's. Last year it was free. This year it is $15.00 per night? I'm taking my kids and grandkids for 5 days. 10 people X 4 nights X $15.00 per day equals $600.00 for ski storage. That's ridiculous. They advertise the great shuttle to go back forth from the ski mountains. They used to drop you off at your home at the end of the day. Now they only drop you off at the clubhouse and then you have to drive to your home. So what is the use of the shuttle. Services getting worse and costs going up. This sucks.

People are super nice but besides the new "townhouse" units being built, the PRO SHOP is basically a single wide trailer, clothes just kind of all over, not very organized, basically zero cold weather resources (we went in mid Feb) & "CLUBHOUSE" is almost cool vintage vibes, old awards etc on walls, old patterned carpet & food though MASSIVE portions is bottom barrel quality, lastly the "CONDOS" are fine for a guys trip where it's hard to break anything of value...if you're wanting to play all day & then just drink/hang out - it's pretty great but arriving at night...no lights outside, no signage, door numbers are inside the complex so you don't know what you're doing lol and felt a bit sketchy aka didn't leave anything in our vehicles. CRAZY things is...add a little TLC to those 3 areas, get a decent website & social media...this place could be a top place to go on golf trips with buddies for sure. I hope they get there because I REALLY want to see this place back to it's glory & living in Dallas it's a perfect distance! 4 stars because I think they are working to get back there & the reason you go is the course & it's a GREAT track & still very well kept.

It's frustrating enough to get conflicting information, but the attitude made it worse. A little communication and basic courtesy would go a long way. If hours are going to change, especially on short notice, staff should be on the same page--and maybe not act like it's the customer's fault for showing up based on what they were told.

It takes some local knowledge to navigate the terrain but the beauty of the canyon, especially in the fall, is breathtaking. The cafe males bomb breakfast sandwiches and the crew is engaging and provides excellent customer service. Bring an extra sleeve or two if you're not breaking 90. Oh, the club pro is the most gregarious person I've ever met. He is always talking with someone. I've not seen him in a year and he waved hello. Not sure if he remembered me or was just waving hello.
