Everyone was backed up on tee 1 by the time we started our tee time had passed by 20 min. On my wife's first turn after teeing off the marshal comes and tells us no teaching and to go to the range. Which okay if we were the hold up totally acceptable but we were waiting on the group in front of us, less than 100 yards. We only played one other hole then left. I just couldn't believe how big of a dick the guy was. Don't make your customers feel like it's their fault you have 6 groups backed up on the first hole.

I would recommend grabbing an extra few golf balls although hopefully you'll hit them straight and not lose any! If you're playing the front 9, I recommend a cart. It's pretty mountainous. The course is very beautiful and well maintained. The bathrooms are updated and clean. All in all, a great course! TL;DR: Management berated my girlfriend and I for going too slow (new), told us to get better, and…read moreallowed people to hit balls towards us. (Couldn't let the group pass) My girlfriend takes me to Bear Lake and to go golfing for the first time. Made sure to get early reservations 24 hours in advance. Staff allowed a none-reservation group to start teeing off 5 mins after we started. (Very dangerous they were hitting balls towards us!!). We were going to let them pass us but they had a big party and never got close enough to let them. 40 mins in and on the third course, management cruised up and started to berate me and my girlfriend. She said that we were taking too long and that the group behind us was complaining. She then started to berate me for being slow and actually told me to get better or start hitting where my girlfriends ball lands. When I told her the group was hitting balls at us she said "well you're going too slow." Honestly I'm writing this review to warn others. This was my first time golfing and my first time at Bear Lake. My experience has been ruined and I never want to golf again. If it's your first time I'd recommend staying away from this course and enjoying another one.

Beautiful 9 hole golf course tucked right up into the foothills. It has large greens, but some…read morenarrow fairways and thick forest lining most of the holes make for some challenging play. Maintenance had been lacking the past few years, but the 2015 season was much better. Even the practice green by the clubhouse is in great shape, where it used to be a mess. The clubhouse is retro in the best way, a step right back in time to the 1970s, with great views of the surrounding forest. Too bad the downstairs area is so underutilized, it could be a great cafe/bar area. Green fees and rentals are priced average for the area. But they also have specials throughout the season that makes this one of the better values in the area.

They also allow immature high school kids from Fremont that don't know how to play and almost hit me. They didn't even apologize.
