And for me, walking straight into Phillips Candies like a man fulfilling a sacred coastal tradition. This place has been around since 1897 and is actually the oldest continually operating business in Seaside, which honestly makes perfect sense the second you walk through the doors. First off, I absolutely love that they carry sugar free chocolates that actually taste good. That alone deserves applause. Then you add in the giant selection of candy, the homemade treats, the popcorn, the chocolate, the old school charm, and suddenly you realize you've been wandering around the store for forty five minutes carrying six pounds of snacks you absolutely did not plan on buying. I am a complete sucker for the white cheddar popcorn and the cheese popcorn. Throw in some Laffy Taffy and now we're talking about a full blown Seaside survival kit. Every single trip to the coast, I stop here and "accidentally" leave with enough candy to supply a small movie theater. The store itself is beautiful too. Bright, nostalgic, cozy, and full of that classic beach town energy that makes you happy just being there. It sits right near all the fun downtown, close to the arcade action and the heart of Seaside, so stopping in feels like part of the experience. The customer service is always fantastic, warm, welcoming, and patient with people like me who spend fifteen minutes debating popcorn flavors like it's a life decision. And somehow, even with the quality, it still feels like you get a good deal. Chocolates, candies, caramel corn, saltwater taffy, coffee drinks, sweet treats everywhere you look. No trip to the Oregon Coast feels complete without walking out of this place carrying a bag that's way heavier than you intended. Five stars all day long.

I love Thai food and have a deep appreciation for the cuisine, so I'll admit my standards are…read more"slightly" snobbish! Thai Thai Fusion did not fail to uphold those high expectations. We ordered four appetizers and the pineapple fried rice. We thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. The fresh salad rolls paired with the peanut sauce were incredibly tasty, and the shrimp tempura with the sweet dipping sauce was scrumptious. The crab rangoons were my absolute favorite--perfectly stuffed with cream cheese and crab. To top it off, the pineapple fried rice was excellent, chock-full of shrimp and cashews. The atmosphere is great, featuring fun decorations and plenty of seating. The staff worked efficiently; our main waiter was a bit standoffish yet polite. The waitress was incredibly attentive and kept checking in on us. We had a great experience and will definitely be back to try other dishes.

The inside of the restaurant is comfortable and has a nice friendly vibe. The servers were friendly and our food arrived in a timely fashion and was hot. We interacted with several people, so it was difficult to determine who our designated server was. The Shrimp Tempura were very good. Husband ordered Pad Thai with chicken, spice level 3. He said the dish was spot on, with a smidge more heat that made him take his time alternating between bites and sips of beer. I had the Orange Chicken, spice level 1. The orange sauce was the best I've had. The chicken itself was a challenge to enjoy. The pieces were hard and I asked for a knife to cut through them. I think the skin was so crisped up that the tough crunchy texture made me question if bones were left in while soft meat was almost non-existent. Maybe that's a one off for how the chicken was prepared that night, but for me the dish was a disappointment. The overall ambience was very comfortable. We sat by the window and watched the world go by. I will recommend Thai Thai to a friend who will be in Seaside for Thanksgiving. P.S. There is a Thai Thai in Cody, Wyoming that serves good food, but lacks the ambience of this one.
