Today was my first visit at Bean Tree, and I 1000% cannot wait to go back for my kids next cleaning. Dr Mason was amazing. She was so thorough and great with my kids, 5 & 2 yrs of age. This was my first time to a pediatric dentist office so I did not really know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by Bean Tree. With my energetic twins they had their work cut out for them. The office is really cute, clean and modern with lots of toys to make the experience pleasurable for the kids. Nice midtone wood floors with white cabinetry make for an visually appealing and calming ambience. The staff is super friendly. The doctor is great with kids and I took solace in the fact that she has a daughter the same age as my twins. I like a place where there aren't 25 doctors on staff. I appreciate a more intimate setting. I may have enjoyed this dentist visit as much as my twin boys who walked away with toys in hand and a bright smile. read more

So I will say I did like this dental office, I thought it was a great place for my kids if you just need run of the mill cleanings and fillings. I think for young kids that have ra fear of dentists this is a great place for them but if you have a hectic schedule and lifestyle and you miss an appointment they will no longer see you as a patient. They said I had missed two appointments one In June of 2019 when we were in Spain(we did not get a reminder email or call prior because I do remember coming back and wondering why we had a bill from them I will say their procedures back then when it comes to reminding you have an appointment have changed a lot because I remember speaking to the receptionist and she was even surprised they didn't send an email or any reminder, we did make this appointment 6 months in advance so it was forgotten on my end) then for December 31st 2020(I even told the receptionist I would show them the death certificate for my brother because I get it that people lie but she didn't care seem to care or have any empathy, I had called them several times before this because I didn't even know my kids were fired as a patient. I guess they have caller id so they know not to answer certain patients because when I realized I had missed the appointment I did call and left a message but I never heard back, I have called them several times in January and February. Today I called and again no answer and I thought it was weird that I have called so many times these past few months and a receptionist has never answered so I decided to call from a different phone number and of course they picked up so I can tell you from a professional stand point this place lacks professionalism and ethics because they could have sent an email or letter letting me know because I missed an appointment they were going to no longer see my kids as their patients) appointment my brother passed away a week prior and I wasn't checking my phone or checking anything. For them to bring up the missed June 2019 appointments when even the receptionist at the time saw it was made 6 months prior and the never sent out any reminder. How that is even being brought up at this time is weird, things happen in life when I made the appointment I didn't know my brother was going to die. People handle grief differently. I completely shut down and forgot everything, for several weeks I was doing really bad. I used to work for a doctors office and they would never fire you as a patient for that. Thankfully my regular dentist sees kids(even though my son will be sad because loves) so it worked out for the better because I will be able to kill two birds with one stone in the future but I figured I would let other parents know because life does happen and not everyone handles death the same and I guess my brother dying and me forgetting everything and not looking at my phone cost my kids their dentist but things happen ‍ Lastly, something I thought was weird is my daughter was seen there a year ago(February 2020) I just checked my dental insurance online at that time I had to pay a few hundred because she had a cavity but the receptionist said it had been over two years since they had seen my kids?! Clearly they don't have things in order there. Also, the receptionist didn't mention late fees charged just that we were fired as a patient but I see they billed 80 dollar in late fees for 12/31. So just a heads up parents because most dental offices do not operate and deal with things like this one. read more

Dr. Mason has been my daughters dentist for about 2 years now and it was truly the best decision I had ever made. I throughly enjoy visiting with her and her staff. Dr.Mason is so sweet and so gentle, she speaks so soft and truly cares about her patients. I recommend her and her staff to any and everyone. With all the mess that happened with Dr.Schneider in the news I was so hesitant to take my daughter to a dentist (she is now 4, so just recently started seeing a dentist when all that stuff was in the news about Dr. Schneider). I so thankful to have found Dr. Mason and a staff that is completely upfront about costs and allows the parent to be present during any visit. I live in the regency area and I have no regrets of traveling to her in Riverside. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and I will happily travel anywhere /distance for good services. Having waited too long for my daughter's first dentist appointment, I finally took her to Bean Tree. She required quite a bit of work to get back on track, and I was fearful that she'd be uncomfortable (at best) with all the work to be done. But she didn't complain at all! In fact, the folks there make her feel like a rockstar, which she obviously enjoys. Everything in the office is geared toward making your child's experience pleasant, while still educating them (and us adults) on the importance of dental hygiene. Toys, songs, rhymes, blankets, sunglasses are all a part of the visit, and even the x-rays are a piece of cake. You're not going to find a more perfect place to take your child. read more

We have a 2 1/2 year old. I made the appointment over the phone. The scheduler was so help. She took the time to explain the practice. She had a true understanding of what would take place during a toddlers first visit. My husband had to take our DD to her first appointment alone. He was nervous. .. about the checkin, keeping her calm, making sure "I " would be ok with the practice. And I, her mother, was nervous too. My husband is quit and polite but has no problem finding any little thing wrong with something and telling me , the out spoken one, about it. Well, he was VERY impressed. Which shocked me because he can complain about anything ;). They had a clean, friendly, child comfortable dental practice. They did a detailed job without causing anxiety. They gave cute prizes to our DD. I am so relieved to have a pediatric dental practice we feel comfortable with. read more

I searched all around Jacksonville and the surrounding areas for a pediatric dentist. My 21 month old daughter needed to have her teeth examined but I wasn't going to leave it to some random dentist who had sketchy reviews online. Finally stumbled upon Bean Tree and I couldn't be more pleased. From the initial phone inquiry to the actual visit, I was impressed. The office has a beautiful set up and the staff are very friendly. I like how they make all the kids at ease with many toys, and distractions to the actual visit at hand, because honestly, what toddler wants to let a stranger stick their hands in their mouth. But its made much more tolerable when you can watch cartoons and play with puzzles, or visit with the 'wall lizard'. Its amazing how much detail they took with their office, and they even have a nursing room. Each child also gets their own bean to grow at visits end. I would like to see them extend their business hours a bit more, but I'm looking forward to our next visit. read more

So today was my daughter's first visit at this office... And this was by far the best experience I've had at a dentist. Today was very stressful with other appointments, Getting my daughter out of school, trying to fill out the new patient paperwork, not exactly sure where I was going, left our insurance card at home, and I had 1% battery life left on my phone. So when I entered the office I was a mess. The ladies at the desk, were awesome!!! One lady helped me relax and find my ZEN (deep breaths & a bottle of water). Another one of the young ladies got my daughter comfortable by letting her choose a movie for us to watch. Once I calmed down, The atmosphere was very relaxing & inviting for parents and kids. After my daughter was all finished in the back they thoroughly explained what took place at today's visit and planned out next two visits. We even discussed new methods to get my 9 year old excited about her dental hygiene. We went home with a goody bag & new a Bean Tree Patient Badge. My daughter is excited for her next appointment... I was so nervous to take the boys to the dentist because of how nervous they can be with doctors and new situations. But this was beyond amazing!! Not once did they cry. Dr. Mason and the entire staff is absolutely amazing!!! From the moment you walk in, the space and staff are completely warm and welcoming. They make you feel right at home. The décor is really cute and kid friendly. My daughter loved the fact that they played her favorite music while they were examining her. They were very professional and very upfront about the treatment she needed and had all the information ready to give me and could efficiently answer all of my questions. I would just like to say that I was not dissatisfied with most of my experiences initially. However, I am a single, working mother and I've transitioned jobs in the last year and had a few challenges with his father's insurance. Circumstances required I reschedule some appointments, but my bills were paid and I was seeking the care my son needed. That being said, I just received a letter ending the dentist-patient relationship with myself and my son because of this. I find this laughable and sad, that a dentistry is so stuck up and pompous on its own self-importance that they would decide we were not fit clients for their oh-so-posh practice. If you are a real, single or working mother with a life and challenges, I recommend you go somewhere else. This place assumes you must be stay-at-home and have an unlimited bank account. Heaven forbid you have to wait a month to accrue the $180 they charge to crown a cavity, after insurance. read more

Dr. Mason is one of the best pediatric dentists I have ever met! She is very conservative with her treatments and will recommend preventative as much as she can. My daughter loves going to the dentist! They have TV's on the ceilings and every time my daughter has to lay in the chair, she gets to pick out a movie. The office itself is very welcoming and is actually fun to look at. The staff here are amazing and always give extra welcoming care to the kids. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a pediatric dentist. read more

Bean Tree is awesome! My daughter loves going there and asks to go play there. And she loves her new hot pink toothbrush.

From the first phone call the staff has been friendly and helpful. My kids loved the waiting room, especially the huge bean bag chair. The David Bowie pillows sealed the deal for me! The entire place feels welcoming and is really geared towards making kids feel comfortable. The hygienist and dentist were professional and thorough. They explained everything to me and my kids. What a wonderful place! I took both my boys (ages 2 & 4) for a dental cleaning yesterday. The entire staff were so warm & caring. The office was very inviting and fun for children. It gave a peaceful feeling. They truly understand children and made my boys' experience a blast! They did a very thorough cleaning for each of my busy boys. All staff members were very knowledgeable. FABULOUS company. I have taken my 2 year old to them twice. EXCELLENT customer service. Had a slight miscommunication, no big deal, but they called me and went above and beyond the call of duty. I just left the Bean Tree office after my 2 year old daughter's first visit. She had a wonderful first experience! What an awesome office and staff. We were comfortable from the moment we walked in. We didn't have to wait even 1 minute in the waiting room. We were immediately showed to a room with many toys and a tv. My daughter was nervous at first having a stranger look in her mouth and touch her teeth and by the end she was asking Dr. Mason to carry her around, to which she quickly obliged. I would give zero stars if I could. Jodi Mason entered the room and never introduced herself to my husband and I who were standing there. She never even acknowledged us, but started asking our 6 year old questions. Later on when she decided to talk to my husband and I, the front desk person, Laura, stormed in and interrupted. She neglected to check that our insurance was no longer active. This was due to a glitch with my company's HR department that I later got sorted out. However, although she validated coverage a week before, she should have done as other dental practices do and re-verify coverage when the patient comes in for the appointment. This negligence on her part cost us $260 out of pocket. Not to mention, it was very rude to stop our conversation with the dentist. After that, of course, my mind was on our insurance coverage and not on Jodi Mason raving about a toothpaste that we could purchase there. I sure I will never take my business there again. read more
