She is an honest dentist and their financial team is ON POINT. They operate everything so smoothly. I encourage you not to base your decision about going to this office due to a negative review which only has one perspective. Every office is different and each dentist has a different approach. My family friends and their kids have never had an issue going there. Their kids love this office and they've never had an issue with finances. Not to mention, Dr. Martinez works wonders with kids. She's passionate about what she does and anyone can clearly see that. She has a gentle bedside manner and can always seems to cease the nerves of any child because her approach is so wonderful! She's got the numbing process down to a T. Your child will never even realize what's going on because she has such a fun way to go about it! Pediatrics is truly her calling. Her team and work is absolutely trustworthy and I highly recommend her... And cannot fathom why anyone would ever feel otherwise. She is AMAZING. Highly recommend her!!

And to top it off, when I took them to a more reputable dental office, not only were we treated with kindness (the dentist came into the waiting room to personally talk to me before each of my three children's procedures), but I'd shown them the pans and bitewings your office took, as well as the treatment plans printed and given to me by your staff--one tooth you planned to fill was perfectly fine, and another that was NOT perfectly fine wasn't even on the treatment plan. Your office is juvenile and lacks any professionalism whatsoever. Walking out of your office and into an experienced and family friendly one was the best decision. I recommend no parent take their child here.

Our son is 7 weeks old and had upper lip, tongue and bilateral cheek/ buccal ties. This was a 1.5…read morehour drive each way for us from Gainesville but we heard great things about Dr. Gary from a friend who had her daughter's frenulectomy done here a few years prior. I am grateful we were able to be worked in after I called as I filled out a new patient packet a few weeks prior and then again the day before. I was promised a call back and we were able to go in for a same week appointment as they had a cancellation. Once we arrived, we checked in and filled out the new patient pack and were taken back within 15 mins of our appt time. Dr. Gary was able to explain the procedure to us and aftercare/ what to expect. Topical analgesia was applied and he was swaddled and then the procedure performed in less than 5 minutes with dad and I able to stay in the room which we chose to do. We then went to a room to feed/ nurse after. The practice is very busy so we waited about 45 mins after the procedure to see Dr. Gary again before paying and leaving. I am glad we were able to have the procedure performed while he is still this little. The CO2 laser makes this quick and with very minimal post-op issues at all! Unfortunately, I don't know that I have seen a drastic difference in baby's ability to feed and some of the issues I was concerned about but we are 24 hours after. That is nothing against the procedure or Dr. Gary though! Every baby/ child will have different results. I will also say that of no fault to the practice, they cannot bill major medical so if you do not have dental insurance, you can request a form with appropriate ICD 10 codes to submit your insurance yourself. It was a little over $600 for the evaluation and all 4 ties. If you have questions concerning finances, I'd recommend calling the office as they were very transparent and helped to make that process very easy. We chose to do all 4 that day and cash pay as no dental insurance for our baby yet. I definitely do recommend Dr. Gary And the practice as a whole. Pain control four hours after was difficult so I would recommend Being proactive with medicating. They do give you recommendations for homeopathic options with your discharge planning. One recommendation would be to provide that in an email prior to the appointment so parents could plan ahead to buy those options rather than have to go to the store or wait for online orders. Additionally, Dr. Gary was very informative on educating how to perform exercise/stretching and even offered an appointment for follow up in one week for a recheck if needed. Given that it is a long drive each way and the exercise exercises seems straightforward to me, we will likely not return, but I can see that this would be beneficial for parents with concerns. If your child has a lip, tongue or cheek tie, I would absolutely recommend sooner evaluation and seeing Dr. Gary.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. This office refused to verify my dental insurance before my…read morechild's appointment for whatever reason and insisted I pay the full amount out-of-pocket with the promise I'd be reimbursed once they submitted the claim. I trusted them and that was a mistake. On numerous separate occasions, they have verified that they do in fact owe me money and "will figure out a way to reimburse you whether that be in the form of a credit on your account or a written check". Not only was I never reimbursed, but after 2.5 YEARS of follow-up regarding this matter and mentioning it at every single appointment, they are now telling me they're "unable" to refund me at all. This was their mistake, and now I'm stuck paying for something insurance should have covered. It's incredibly frustrating, dishonest, and shows a complete lack of accountability. Parents should not have to fight to get their money back, especially when the error was on the office's part. Be very cautious if you choose to bring your child here, and do not agree to pay out-of-pocket unless you have proof in writing that you'll be reimbursed.

The work he did has held up so well over the last 15 years. Specifically, I had a molar root canal and crown beautifully done around 2006 that is STILL in great condition. Since moving to California over a decade ago, I have yet to find another solid dentist that I can trust. I almost want to fly back just to have my dental work done by him again..

As many of us sat in the waiting room with the only distraction being brutal posters of the gum disease that would befall you if you didn't brush regularly, totally in denial of needing to see this man called "the Dentist". When the door eventually did creak open, inevitably a pale and shaken little person would bolt out, like a caged possum set free, the only shred of joy left in the day being their mission to deliver the summons to the next target on the Dental Nurse's hit-list. She would then turn her chilling gaze on you, quivering in the corner, and beckon you into the chair. It may be a product of my scarred and failing memory, but I'm sure I recall voices chanting "Dead man walking." And the only solace to be offered from the humorless nurse? A warped little voodoo doll made out of various bits of cotton that she would soon try to jam in your mouth and the chance to roll some liquid mercury around in your bare hands. If she didn't kill you today, she'd poison you later! All of those distant memories are behind us now that we have the latest technology and the funniest dentist on earth (we all know to humor him, it's less painful). Much to my surprise, All of staff are welcoming and friendly, and the office itself is attractive too, which makes for a nice atmosphere. The scene never changes from visit to visit, everyone know your name and gives you the kindest greeting and is adorn with a smile. Never have I ever thought there would be so much enjoyment in going in for a cleaning or a crown replacement. My family and this writer agree, with the practices and procedures of Dr Standish with his dentistry advancements in the field of 3-dimensional computer technology and implant material science have created a new era where sophisticated implant reconstructions can be pre-designed, pre-fabricated, and computer-guided. The receptionists work very hard to help with insurance payments and convenient scheduling. They are very friendly as is the hygienists and yes, even Dr. Standish.
