Jack quoted me four brands of heat pump, advised their credit agreement, and impressed me with his knowledge. (I spent 5 years helping my former husband with HVAC, including some technical training, so while much has modernized, the basics remain the same.) Rhett called to advise me they were on their way, and the removal of my old, poorly functioning, heat pump and installation of the new one were done quickly and obviously well since my home is again at a temp of 72 degrees in spite of outside temp of 37 degrees. When Rhett first started the system, the temp rose 6 degrees in about 15 minutes. I'm very grateful, because I struggled with an indoor temp between 60 and 66 during our coldest outdoor temps and power bills between $225 and $600, amounts far higher than ever in my entire life. Of course this is December, and of course it's supposed to freeze the following week. I immediately started looking for a heating and air company that had good ratings and one of the first to pop up was Larry's Heating and Cooling. I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get someone scheduled to come out the same afternoon. The technician, David, called when he was on his way. He arrived on time, was extremely personable and professional. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. He diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes and took the time to show me what the issue was and how it needed to be repaired. Because he needed to come back with a part to get things fixed and the weather was going to cooperate, we scheduled for a week later when we returned from our trip. The day he said he'd be back, he showed up as scheduled and in a couple hours he fixed our unit. Temps dropped below freezing the next day, but our heat worked perfectly so we didn't care. David did a great job! Great team, very competitive pricing; highly recommended. It's who we will call in the future if needed in the future for certain!

They installed a new coil in my indoor unit in Aug 2022 for $2k+, wasn't cooling and had lost gas…read morein April 2024. They did a service call and said my coil was leaking, sent an estimate for full unit replacement only about a week later after I chased them and asked for a warranty repair - they said no warranty after 12 months. Got a second opinion, the SKILLED and HONEST other technician from a different company went to the attic, 15 minutes later said the coil wasn't leaking, but there was a plastic cap that wasn't tight and had oil residue on it - they replaced and tightened the cap, refilled the gas and everything is fixed for a fraction of the price of a new unit. This is my experience with Larry's heating & air, why I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone else. I gave them an opportunity to explain to me what happened and why the problem was misdiagnosed, but haven't heard back from them.
