From my initial in-person conversation with Jack to telephone conversations with Angie to the heat pump installation today by Rhett and Chris, I've been impressed with their knowledge, courtesy, ability to clearly communicate, and efficient functional installation. Jack quoted me four brands of heat pump, advised their credit agreement, and impressed me with his knowledge. (I spent 5 years helping my former husband with HVAC, including some technical training, so while much has modernized, the basics remain the same.) Rhett called to advise me they were on their way, and the removal of my old, poorly functioning, heat pump and installation of the new one were done quickly and obviously well since my home is again at a temp of 72 degrees in spite of outside temp of 37 degrees. When Rhett first started the system, the temp rose 6 degrees in about 15 minutes. I'm very grateful, because I struggled with an indoor temp between 60 and 66 during our coldest outdoor temps and power bills between $225 and $600, amounts far higher than ever in my entire life. We own many commercial properties and I called to have our commercial AC units serviced and I spoke with "Manda" or "Amanda". When asking her about the service they provide and what it entails along with info on their technicians- she hung up on me. As a major commercial property company-we have questions that we ask to ensure that we are choosing the right company and to make sure that it will be a good fit for both parties. That being said "Manda" hung up when asking how many technicians they had. As a corporation- we will not choose a company that only has 2 technicians for a 3 story multi unit building. I called her back and she said she was not interested, I asked 'why?' she said 'because you asked how many technicians we have and I don't see what that has to do with anything'. That right there let us know that we will GLADLY take our business and money to a reputable company that wouldn't mind doing the job for us and servicing our other properties. If you couldn't do the job 'Manda' then you should have just said so and not just hung up in mid convo. I just wanted to acknowledge AirHeat in Chickamauga. My unit went down last night and we were miserable. We called before 8:00 am and they answered the call, sent a technician to our home right away, and by 9:30 am we had air conditioning again! Hallelujah. We needed an AC fixed on an emergency basis lately. We had an outstanding bill of $651.00. They refused to do the work. HES no longer uses them and I suggest you not use them either. read more
