A friend recommended them for taxes because they charge a more reasonable amount to do your taxes than I was paying somewhere else. You upload your documents to a "secure site" (which is a joke I think? My browser gave me a warning about it not being secure and someone could be trying to steal my information - LOLZ!). Then you dont hear back from them for over a month. April 15th passes, no word. Luckily the tax deadline was extended this year (2021). When you call, you are told "its being reviewed and they will reach out to you, probably today." No one does. The next week you call again and they say the same thing. Then someone does reach out to you, huzzah! But it's not the person who did your taxes to go over them with you. That would be helpful. Instead you hear from the receptionist telling you your taxes are done and what you owe them and the government. Okay. Great. You look at your taxes and shit you owe A LOT. You're not used to owing SO MUCH. If you happen to have a question about something, they treat you like you're an annoying idiot and say "I've only been doing taxes for 34 years, I think I know the law..." Mmkkk. Yes, thats the reason you, and not me, are doing my taxes. And I'm ignorant, so I have questions. Jesus, I'm not attacking your intelligence. On the contrary, I'm seeking information to understand. If there is a mistake with the paperwork (payment math isnt adding up to the total balance, the first payment shows its already past due), when you ask about it, they tell you Tracy is busy and won't be able to look at whether the information is correct, for a month. A month, seriously. Your tax paperwork has errors and they can't even look at it to check their own work within a reasonable time frame. You need this information to be accurate because you need to take action on the information (the first payment is due in a couple weeks). Or is it already past due? Its too bad you're unimportant enough to get prompt service. I dont understand why someone else other than Tracy can look it over. She didnt even do them in the first place. Someone else there did. Love that this place has lot of reviews. Just from researching she seems to be the most clear and less confusing that some others in town. Like if a place has only four reviews and claims to be great and have all this experience , I'm wondering, like....HOW? Why? Where are the rest of the reviews? read more

I had the best experience with this firm. The office staff were great at communicating. They were helpful and were always willing to listen and answer any questions I had. They filed two years worth of taxes for me, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Not to mention I called them 3 days before the deadline to file. They were great. I was much happier with Bean Counting years ago. Now, they plug the numbers in that I hand them, are friendly and efficient enough to make sure they have details about my private practice, then hand the forms back to me/us to send to the IRS. This --having to finalize and send off my own taxes-- has resulted in nearly a year's worth of needless stress on my plate. I have received at least 3 messages that I owe a whopping amount in taxes, even though I paid my taxes well before 4/15/21. In fact, I went crying to Bean Counting the first or second time I got a written notice from the IRS that (again) I owe money PLUS INTEREST because they reportedly did not receive payment. There, in tears, I was instructed by Tracy "just pay your taxes." Not helpful. Patronizing. I'd paid my taxes, over and over again. I'm scared of being in trouble. I'm honest. I'm responsible. In fact, I'd double paid, so I got a refund check for the full amount last month or so. Now, again, today, 1/24/22, I received another written notification that payment is due. To be clear, I blame the IRS for being utterly incompetent. I also blame Bean Counting for sending me off to deal with this after I paid them $200 to file my taxes (or so I thought). I'll take my business to other accounting offices that put my taxes in the mail for me--to relieve me of this crazy stress. read more

First phone call I'm was great. Said all the right things that we put our trust in Tracy and Courtney. Went in with all our paperwork and months later and thousands of dollars later, a larger bill than quoted, fines, excuses in emails and I person followed by lies. They are too busy doing a crappy job to care about reducing the client base to do a great job. When confronted, Tracy lied right to our face yet again and made excuses for Courtney. Stay as far away as possible. I would give zero if I could read more

What can I say, this is the best, most honest accounting office I have ever worked with. I have had my taxes prepared with this firm for years. Now, my the majority of my family goes here for help. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. Thank ask the questions you may not think. Tracie, is well wonder women, she goes out of her way to not only learn your tax needs, of has a million of resources for help in matters of health insurance and college tuitions. Tracie is kind and honest, and has prepped my taxes for almost 15 years. Now that my son is old enough to file his own, he too is a client of Tracy, as well as my mom and mother in law. Worst experience. My husband and I were given inaccurate information. We were told we would get our full refund in 2 weeks but actually waited 11 weeks and only received half. Then when I went to her office to talk to her about it she told me that there is nothing she could do and I shouldn't have gotten married. What nerve. I wish I could give 0 stars. Could not be a more helpful and caring group of ladies! Tracie is a pro at figuring out the best solutions for your taxes no matter how complicated they are. She will work hard and not stop until you have answers to your tax questions or problems. She also offers tax planning throughout the year, which is amazing and really taxes a lot of the shock out of taxes when we go to file at the beginning of the year. My fiancé and I bought a house together but we still have to file separate, and Tracie was very patient with explaining how this will change both of our tax situations. What a fantastic accounting office! I had planned on doing my taxes myself using an online service, which I have done all my life. My taxes were a bit more complicated this year, and after doing them myself, the numbers just seemed off. Based on the positive Yelp reviews I decided to use The Bean Counting Firm. I am so glad I did! I met with Tracie-she was beyond courteous, very professional, and efficient. My taxes were done quickly and she came up with the right numbers-my online service was way off. She also gave me tax tips for the coming year. I will never do my own taxes again. Tracie really knows her stuff and has already saved me a ton of money. In regard to pricing-I checked around and her prices are very reasonable compared to other personal tax services. Yes, an online service is cheaper but believe me-you get what you pay for.
