I like chicken salad sandwiches, but I don't often order them. Sift's was probably the best I've ever had. It comes on a perfect croissant with everything seasoning. It's perfectly flaky, buttery and salty. The chicken salad is terrific too. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. The cranberries are a highlight. I also believe there are apples, onions and celery. These components bring great texture. The dressing that ties it together, is light and bright. An all time CT Great Sandwich. The chocolate chip cookie is top tier too. It was fresh. It seemed to have at least two different types of chocolate. Milk and maybe Semi-Sweet or Bittersweet? The salt content was right on. We moved to CT from San Diego, CA where açaí bowls are all the rage so I have high standards. When I came across Toppin on Yelp, the photos looked great and knew I had to try. The cutest little shop connected to a hair salon (which I want to try next) and the staff are the friendliest and all related. We got to talking, turns out they know our favorite açaí bowl place in San Diego! Small world!
