Atmosphere/Appearance: It was pretty quiet since it was a Sunday around 1:00pm so there weren't a lot of folks. Our guest was handicapped and in a wheelchair so they allowed us to sit in their sunken room which has access directly from the outside. There was a lot of natural light, light woods, exposed brick and an unfinished concrete floor which gave this place a real tavern and warming feel. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but I don't recall having any issues whatsoever. Food: I started off with their wings of course! We got their South Asian Beer Sauce which was pretty decent, but reminiscent of a sweet Thai chili. However, the wings were thickly-breaded and I'm not the biggest fan of that. They were cool, but I wouldn't spin the block for them. As a side I got the steamed broccoli which actually was really good! They were al-dente and not too hard or soft with plenty of seasoning. My wife enjoyed a salmon dish with Brussels sprouts and asparagus while our friend had a grilled chicken Caesar salad. I don't remember hearing complaints from either of them. Value: My wings were $15.00 and they were of the jumbo variety, so I guess they were worth it. Side of broccoli was like $6.00 I believe, so it was a relatively inexpensive lunch. The Caesar salad with chicken was $21.00 and my wife's salmon with vegetables was $25.00. So this place isn't a cheap-eats kinda deal, but it's not terribly expensive either. In conclusion, I liked it here! It's chill, the food was decent and it was a nice place to hang out. For dinner we went to Kensingtons. Classy high end restaurant with great atmosphere and service. We started with drinks. Old fashioned for me , lemon drop martini for my beautiful wife. Both great. For dinner . I started with the New England clam chowder. Very good, not as good perhaps Newport RI where my wife is from but for a Long Island guy pretty good. A bit of pepper did the trick. My wife had filet mignon medallions which included puffy potato crochets . She said the potatoes were pillowy and amazing. Steak was delicious. 2 nice sized pieces seasoned and cooked to perfection I had the Ricotta gnocchi. Good, not great for me. I enjoyed the gnocchi but it was too busy with excessive vegetables and such. Still, quite tasty. The following day we attended our family wedding. Awesome time. We were in adjoining rooms with an accordion door that opened up so we could enjoy the massages together. The ladies did such a good job on us. We left feeling very relaxed. My granddaughter had a facial and her skin was absolutely glowing afterwards. She was happy to have had it done and kept talking about how soft her skin felt. We had lunch at Kensington's. We shared a delicious appetizer of Korean fried chicken. For lunch she ordered the steak frites and enjoyed every morsel. I had the caprese flatbread, which was delicious and light. Perfect for a day at the spa. We enjoyed the amenities they offer very much. There is a pool, hot tub and sauna to use throughout your visit. They offer complimentary snacks in the afternoon just outside of the spa entrance. She was so relaxed that she slept most of the 45 minute drive home. I'm so glad they allow 14 year olds there. It adds up, especially when the food and drinks aren't hitting the mark. There's still potential here, and the space itself remains appealing, but the recent decline is hard to ignore.
