It's a duo store operating as a small cafe and bike shop - and it's a great idea. The feeling is of the cafe is quite chic in a dainty way. The staff were really helpful with the wifi code and served food and coffee quickly. Mum and I ordered bacon butties which came on brioche rolls - yum! My brother, ordered a cheese toastie. We all had flat whites which got slurped down rather quickly and came it neat little old china cups! More bacon, yes I love bacon! I just like a well-packed bacon sarnie or roll but that's me. If I were in the area again, I would defo seek this little cafe again as it seemed to be the little hub of activity and not surprisingly popular with a few cyclists!

A family run, very popular, place, Crema has a great range of food. From paninis (heaven is full of their chicken pesto paninis) to homemade bakes and cakes, hearty soups and a nice line of caffeine based beverages, I spent many a Saturday/Sunday morning brunching here. There are more seats upstairs, and whilst the decor is pretty bog standard, check out the amazing photographs on the walls, amazing portraits in black and white. Price wise it is about average, although the temptation of cake always meant our bill was a little high for a brunch but hey, what's life about if not treating yourself?!! I'd recommend Crema if you are in Hamilton town centre (or even down at the Asda, it's not much of a walk) for any reason. Good food, friendly helpful staff, for a good price. If you are lucky you can chat to the owner(s) and see just how passionate they are about sourcing local produce as well, an excellent sign!

Staff are usually too busy to do much more than take orders, prep food and take money. It used to be much smaller but has since had a nice face lift, which brings it up to date with the more modern coffee houses like Costa and Nero. It does the usual lunchy stuff; sandwiches, toasties, soups, baked potatoes and light dinners like macaroni cheese and fish and chips, perfect for a nice home cooked filler when out and about, and a great alternative to a greasy McDonald's or the likes. Unfortunately the only table we could get was right next to the door, meaning we got a horrible draft every time someone came in or went out, brrr. The menu in there is a bit limited, as it is just a cafe, but they do have a licence, so beers, wines and ales are all available too. Colin and I ordered the Parma ham bruschetta sharing platter to start, then I had the chicken and bacon club panini and Colin had a chicken and chorizo stew. The food came very fast, which was great, and was lovely! I wasn't a big fan of the bruschetta, it was awfully dry as no olive oil was used, and it wasn't seasoned either, so it was a bit bland. The panini was lovely, and I had a wee bit of Colin's stew which was glorious! We ordered a couple of their berry frappes which came in huge American diner-style milkshake glasses and were delicious! I think I would rather go here on a slightly quieter afternoon so I could sit up next to the huge fireplace, but I did enjoy it and will be popping in from time to time!

It's a great little place, would sit happily in somewhere... I dunno... less Hamilton-y than Hamilton? I'm rambling. The coffee is really good - my latte is always just the right side of warm, but not to hot; the hot chocolate is incredible (a cup of hot milk with CHOCOLATE ON A STICK to mix to your own taste) and even my non milk drinking better half was satisfied with a soy milk cappuccino. I even dabbled with the apple pie and cream in the past - and it was also very good. I do believe the food may be a bit high priced, but when it's that good, it is worth it, trust me. They have a selection of toys for me... erm... the kids to play with, comfy seats, nice but not overdone decor, the staff are helpful and pleasant. It's a good place. You'll like it.

So I followed the signs until I was greeted by a great big orange sign. This was mid morning so a cheeky wee bacon roll wouldn't go wrong. I was served by a lovely member of staff. Of course I'm in the ways of a Yelp geek now, would that be a Gelp or a Yeek, anyhoo I asked if the business was new and how long they had been here. Well they only opened in November last year and business has been doing well. They do have the competition of Equi's around the corner but this is more of a Glasgow type "coffee shop". I got a bacon roll and could've had a tea for an extra 10p but I was in the mood for a cold drink. I felt the bacon was very fatty so to give them the benefit of the doubt I just had to pop in the next day, well I was out that way again anyway. So I had another bacon roll, this one being a little less fatty. I did feel though their board listing of food and drinks on offer was hard to read and understand. There was also no pricing next to some of the foods, I only went for the bacon roll as that was the only sign I could comprehend. I would need time to try and figure it out so it would be best if it was a little less noisy and better priced. Apart from that it was a-ok.

Told you it was right in the heart. Boom boom! It's been opened for quite a while now and I have driven by so many times longing to have a wee try. As I'm now getting all super healthy 'n' that and I can now walk to work, the world's my oyster and I can now swing by anytime. Super bonus! I finished a shift early so decided this was my moment to have a late lunch and give in to my aching longing. My folks had been a couple of times before, once for a Christmas party. They did warn me that it was a little expensive but it was a lovely experience and the food was good. So eyeballed the menu and I have to agree it was a big ol' mighty on the steep side. I was quite surprised for a Blantyre café, so this is where it loses a wee star. I asked the fine lady 'what be the soup of the day' and she said 'cream of vegetable'. 'One bowl please'. I opted for this as it was £3 for soup and crusty bread. A baked potato was £5 with cheese and coleslaw and went up with the various fillings you choose. I can't remember the sandwiches but they were quite pricey too. The cheapest hot food on the menu was chips at £2. Talk about cheap as chips. Haw haw! Sorry! Anyhoo, when I was in a Byres Road establishment today and saw that their baked potatoes started at the £2.50 mark, I was proven right at the expense. It's probably a catch 22 for them that if they keep it low it won't cover costs blah blah etc... It came across as a calm environment but you would think that it'd be over run by school kids, especially as the high school is literally a stones throw away as well as the primary across the road. Blissfully they aren't as The Little Tearoom have a notice up to say that children must be accompanied with an adult. So it's an unruly kiddie free zone. It's also a brand spanking new build so built for the purpose of serving fine food and afternoon tea. I will return, oh yes, I will be back. Hopefully try an afternoon tea, maybe a wee cheeky breakfast roll on my way to work. Who knows?!

The staff where friendly but not over the top and in your face so to speak . There was no pressure on time . The food was excellent . The price was excellent . What more can I say 10/10 Will return soon . p s the place is cleaner than any top restaurant .
