Bealls is not really a place I frequent, only because I kind of forget about it, but I was in the area and I figured why not, maybe I could find something in here to spend my money on. So Bealls is more of an "older person's" department store I would say. The clothing there isn't for anyone who is in their teens or 20's, that's for sure. And in fact, I don't even think they do have a "Young Men's" department at all, but what you will find are more business casual, sort of Florida type wear if that makes sense. Picture your 40 something + uncle from West Palm Beach and that's the men's department here, but what other stores fail at, Bealls does well and the clothing is actually somewhat decent. No, I won't wear everything here, but I did find a dress shirt for work here for $20. They have a ton of Tervis tumblers here- like a lot. I almost thought there was a Tervis store inside, but there wasn't. They also have a lot of nice bedding and home furnishings too. It would be a good place to decorate a rental or a beach house. I've definitely had aunt's with similar styling in their home and part of me really likes it. It's definitely very Florida there. Prices are average to somewhat high, but the quality seemed to be there. Again, I don't think it's a place I'll come to every time I need something, but I definitely would drop by every so often to see what I may or may no find inside.

We had never been to this store and didn't know what to expect. We were actually pleasantly surprised. It's a bit like Macy's but on a much smaller scale. As we walked in, we found ourselves in the accessories dept. They had the best selection of sun hats that we've seen. The prices were about average, but the styles were very nice. We were on a mission, so didn't spend too much time in clothing, but the short time we did spend yielded some cute outfits. Unfortunately, it wasn't very well organized. They would have something on a mannequin, but if you wanted to find it on the racks, you had to do a lot of searching. We finally found our target - insulated cups and water bottles. They had a great selection but the pricing was confusing. The sign said, "Sale," but the prices were not discounted. Since we knew the product, we knew that they weren't sale prices. I'm not a big fan of misleading signs like that. We left without buying anything, but I'm sure we'll go back. It's just kind of a fun place to explore. Just be careful to know your pricing when you go in. There are some good deals to be had, but you have be careful.

Store is clean, well organized and prices are great. The selection of clothing though is not really what I would normally wear (not a lot of options for business attire). Shoe department is more toward the casual side. The home department has a lot of nice decor although most seems like a relaxed/beachy theme. Accessories are decently priced (jewelry, purses etc...). They also have coupons in the paper if you look.

Ask the Community - Bealls Department Store

Do they carry plus size women's bathing suits?

They do have a Women's section that also carries plus size clothing. I have seen Plus Size swimsuits, however the selection is not always well stocked. I recommend calling if you will have to drive quite a distance.

We are here a lot for the Lowe's store as well as occasionally the Macy's. And also for Big Lots on the north side. The restaurants have come and gone, but there are a few we like and patronize -- the fish and shrimp one and the middle eastern one to cite a couple. And the Burlington and TJ Maxx stores that were recently added are also a draw. It is our town mall, so we are happy it's now on the up side. They even have a number of outbuildings with businesses and restaurants and signs saying more are coming soon. Here's to supporting local businesses!

I went to six appointments at the JC Penney Salon in Citi Centre. Slowly, but surely, she destroyed my long, very thick beautiful locks. I now have chemical burns throughout my scalp. My hair may never grow back in these areas. On the last appointment, all of that hair was probably in the shampoo bowl. She ran from the shampoo bowl and told me to go to her styling chair. She wouldn't let me look in the shampoo bowl. To this day, I regret the decision that I made not to stand up for myself and check things out! She mixed hair color and shampoo together - without rinsing the color out. She did this on a number of occasions. I kept wondering why my hair was suddenly thinning and drying out. I went to my doctor who gave me some injections to promote hair growth. A few weeks after my last appointment with her, I touched the top of my head. To my horror, I found out that I am now mostly bald on the top of my head! There are 'ribbons' of damage all throughout my hair. I am distraught! I called her and let her know and she rudely suggested that I go to another hair stylist. I sent pictures to her and her manager. The manager said she would products to me for my hair. I never received them. When I called her, she said that her supervisor told her not to send the products. She said I can come in for a treatment. I can't believe how unprofessional this salon is. I asked for dark brown hair and chunky highlights. She kept lightening my hair. I told her I didn't want red hair. Although I did like the highlights for a short time, it is not what I wanted. I don't know why I trusted her. She kept telling me that we were going for "perfection". I want to know if there are others that have had this bad experience with this hairdresser. I met one of her clients and she has very little hair and all of it is in tiny pin curls on top of her head. I bet she did this same processing to this client as well. She is lazy. I told her to put the color on both sides when applying it. She did this, but then added the shampoo to the color and sometimes to the color and the bleach at the shampoo bowl. Slowly, but surely, she was damaging my hair. It may not ever grow back! She said that my hair was hers while at the salon and then she will give me 'my hair back.'. Well, I may have less than half of my hair left after going to her for six times. I thought after spending all of that money and all of that time, I would look amazing! The little hair I have left is very thin and fragile with split ends everywhere! I can't swim in the ocean or a pool as water in general is very drying, especially salt and chlorinated water. It's summertime! I cannot believe this! I told her I wanted long hair. Also, on the last appointment, she cut my hair. It was just cut a couple of weeks ago by her! She cut it because she saw all of the damage that she did. She saw all of my hair in the shampoo bowl. I can prove it! Just look at my scalp in the pictures and all the red/pink splotches everywhere! The color of my hair is awful! It's different colors everywhere. When I looked it up online, I found out that 'soap capping' the hair is very dangerous. Adding soap to color and/or bleach is very drying and damaging. She did this 3, maybe 4 times to me! I should have known better. I will never get chemical processing on my hair again, NEVER! I cannot anyway! I can't use a brush, a blow dryer, hot rollers, nothing. I cannot use anything on my hair now because of the condition it is in. I wrote a long letter to JC Penney and added pictures of what my hair looks like after Sabrina destroyed my hair and hair follilles throughout my head. She asked me why I took so long to let her know. I told her that most of the damage is on the top and back of my head and only after the color kept fading and the tiny hairs were growing out, that's when I noticed. I was also traveling to other states visiting people who are not well in my family. So I was focused on driving from Virginia to and through multiple states and taking care of other things. I wasn't focused on my hair. It looks awful and I have to do what I can to save it. I hope that I can.

I spent the majority of the time on the second floor because I have a high interest in home decor and organization. Plus, there were more than a few things that caught my eye. The prices varied widely, ranging from low to high. Unlike my daughter, I'm not a frequent shopper at Target, but I will stop by occasionally to get what I need for the home; and I like that this location has a large, adjoining two-level parking garage.

The Cove has some exciting new developments. Three new food and drink projects recently opened. These include the 46 year old Cove Restaurant and Tiki Bar which got a 6.5 million dollar makeover. Since 1977, the intracoastal waterfront Cove Restaurant has been a favorite of the Deerfield Beach community. The renovation project was spearheaded by developer Lou Moshakos who runs Oceanic and Lucky Fish Pompano. Mosakos has many fond memories of knocking back drinks with his wife after working at the Seafood Shanty. When the restaurant came up for sale he decided to purchase and restore it. Changes to the restaurant include a new chef and Key West style makeover of the tiki bar. On the opposite end of the plaza is the new 2.15 million dollar Cove Brewery with a 8,500 square foot brewhouse and taproom. The brewery anchors a 24,000 square foot warehouse that houses four new businesses including the recently opened Won-Tom's restaurant. I am exited to check out the changes to the plaza but I also enjoy dining at The Sticky Bun for breakfast , Modern Rose for light bites and coffee, and Patricia's of New York for dinner. Other businesses include jewelry stores, laundry, bridal stores, legal, banking, medical, and beauty services, clothing stores, pubs, and many other restaurants. If there is one drawback to The Cove it is that parking can be hard to come by. Complicating matters is the fact that people park here and walk over to the beach. If there is a festival going on you can forget about finding a space. Lou Moshakos has purchased roughly 2 acres of land next to The Cove and is considering building a parking garage to alleviate the parking headache. So many locals and tourists have fond memories of going to The Cove through the years . The new businesses and next phase of development will bring even more good times.

Located near the intracoastal waterway, this strip center has it all: restaurants, gift shops, several offices, bridal stores, boutiques and even a catering venue called Royal Fiesta. Sometimes the plaza has events like farmers markets, car shows etc. This is a fun shopping center because not only is it walking distance to the beach but it has a full marina and a path leading to Sullivan Park. It's so much fun people watching because you get to see people walking their dogs, riding their bikes, or just walking around enjoying the many stores and restaurants. The largest and most well known restaurant is Two George's; great for relaxing with an adult beverage on the water. There's also a family owned Italian restaurant called Antonio's, Sticky Bun for breakfast & lunch, Modern Rose Teahouse, Kava Lounge, French & Mexican restaurants, and American Rock Bar & Grill. There is something for everyone, so I can assure you that you won't go hungry. Many of the restaurants are dog friendly which I think is awesome especially since I plan on adopting another fur baby soon. Saving the best for last; my favorite restaurant in the plaza is Casa Maya. They serve the most delicious Mexican food and there is a small bar if you want to pop in for a margarita. It gets pretty loud but the food is worth it. The plaza is home to two bridal stores (Bellissima & Casa De Bridesmaids), a high end dress shop (Sondro), law offices, a tattoo shop, several stores as well as nail & massage places. The Cove shopping center is easy to find. Head east on Hillsboro & it's right before the bridge on the south side of the road. Lots of parking too. :-)
