I was looking for the phone number and was surprised to see that I didn't leave a review before. Maybe it's even better, because I brought my 2004 BMW 325i to them two years ago, and it is still in great shape. read more

Adore and his crew are really good. They are a machine shop and general automotive repair. Adore has been a machinist & Auto repair shop owner in Sunnyvale for many years . His reputation is flawless ,he does pickup heads and blocks from most shops in Sunnyvale. They also repair vehicles at competitive prices. Loyal and honest is why he has been in buisness so long. I am retired now ,however if someone asks me if I know a reputable shop, hands down its American European (408) 733-7075 Adore. I am a retired ASE Certified Master Tech, working at a couple of shops in Sunnyvale, and we always used American European for our machining needs. read more

Trustworthy reliable mechanic at reasonable prices. Ador is honest and a great mechanic. Will be bringing all my cars to him for service.

Hello, My Ford escape was having spark plug problems, I had it towed to the garage, Ador was so sweet and kind and really helpful. They had the car in the morning and I had it back in the afternoon, he had to make a special thing for the spark plug to fit in, I am so grateful to this man. Thank-you again for what you did for me. read more

This place is the best. I've literally gone here for the last 28 years. Adore is the ultimate honest mechanic in a world of dishonest mechanics. He takes care of any referrals and remembers it. He'll also provide you with options when it comes to fixing something like offering a used part instead of a more expensive option. Sometimes thats a better situation for you. Trust in American European. read more

This car shop is one of the best in the area. Great service, friendly staff, and great prices. We have been taking our cars here for years! He always let's us know what's wrong with the car, even keeps the old parts to show us what went wrong and let's us take the parts back if we want them. You know you're at a good shop when a lot of the customers come in looking for the owner by name! read more

He is one of the most honest people I have EVER known. When we first moved on the street right in back of his shop in 1997, we started taking our cars to Ador. Multiple times we thought we would have to pay a ton of money for what seemed like large problems with the cars, and many times Ador came back and told us that it was only a sensor, or something easily fixed... and it would be hundreds of dollars less than what we had been quoted by MANY other mechanics. He is amazingly good, and incredibly affordable. He seems to have a "sixth sense" about cars, like Temple Grandin with cows. It does take a bit longer than one may be used to, but the fixes are golden and the price is a small fraction of what you would pay usually. He has a very busy business, but always remembers every car that he has. When we moved to Palo Alto, we took all of our cars to him. Always. No question. As a female, he NEVER talked down to me or tried to jack up the price on my car because of my own (admitted)ignorance of cars. Now we have moved to the East Bay, and one of our older cars needs multiple things done. I honestly trust nobody else except Ador to do the job. We are making the trek down there tomorrow, and it will be worth every minute on the roads of the Bay Area. Please feel free to PM me and I can tell you more about the individual experiences we have had with Ador since 1997. Amazing guy, with his amazing wife Millie. Not only a great mechanic but honest to a fault. read more

This auto shop is easy to get to in Sunnyvale from 237, 101, or even Central Expressway from Mathilda. It's located right on the corner of Maude Ave. and Borregas Ave. Found it easy to park behind the shop when I needed to be picked up or dropped off while the car was being worked on. I was recommended this shop by a friend and I was glad I did. I brought my car over to Ador (the owner) to get my clutch done since it was getting worse by the day. I drive a Subaru WRX. Dropped the car off in the morning, and after a couple days, I got my car back. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and even got follow up calls. Picked up the car and Ador went over what was done. I can tell he's very knowledgeable and an experienced mechanic since I've worked on cars myself. I also liked how he recommends OEM parts for reliability and doesn't cut corners. So far the car is running better than before and will come back when I need more work done. read more

DO NOT bring your car to this mechanic. He has held the car for a week now so I called for an ETA on when the car will be fixed and he said he does not know when it will be ready. He said that we should come pick up the car and take it somewhere else. AFTER A WEEK OF HAVING THE CAR!!! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! read more

I heard about American European back in about 1995. Since then, I have taken my cars there, as well as had sent referrals there. They even do their own machining there! Ador and his staff are kind, honest and explain things in a way us "mortals" can understand. Local, easy to get to, reasonable, kind staff, great results! What more can one ask for! read more

Ador is one of those "real" mechanic who really knows his stuff. I had him do machine work for me (while rebuilding my engine). Fair price, great knowledge, what else do you need? read more

These guys are awesome! Came to our rescue while we were out to lunch from work. We were parked around back and came out to a flat tire and they helped us right away and got us back to work in no time at all! We appreciate you guys and will come back if we need anything in the future. read more

Great place! They fixed my AC no problems and it's running great! They were professional and fast and I was very happy with the price. I'll definitely be coming here from now on. They even fixed my steering wheel cover :) read more

I found the place to take all of my cars!! I came here as a recommendation from a friend. I brought my MBZ here to get a brake lightbulb replaced. So very helpful and accommodating. While here I mentioned that the glove compartment was not closing. They took a look at it and spent about 15 minutes. It turns out the lock latch was enabled. They didn't even charge me for their time! I will be bringing our other cars here for service! I have been looking for a trustworthy mechanic for years and I'm so happy that I found one!! And so close to my home and work. read more

After almost getting ripped off by another auto repair shop who wanted to charge me over double to repair my older car, I brought the car to this shop to have Ador take a look at it. He was able to diagnose the problem and get it fixed in 1 day. The amount he charged was very reasonable. He is in my opinion the best there is out there for European made cars read more

I have been taking my cars to Ador for years! I have never met a more honest person in my life. He always tells me the problem, gives me options, and suggests the best option, not the most costly. I trust him completely! I will take my cars no where else! read more

I had no idea where to go after receiving news from the dealership that my car needed $4,500+ work done to it pretty necessary too. I did a poll on fb and got quotes from many places. Ultimately I wanted quality + affordability and that's what I got from Ador & this auto shop! He got the work done for half the cost at a dealership and it drives sooooooo much better. I've only had this car for 3yrs and I've already had to change both rear & front brakes!!! This time it was also both front axels and the power steering rack! Wtf?!?! Anyway just had to say it. The pricing and reassurance from Ador helped ease my discomfort around spending this much on this car. Let's hope it lasts me through many more years! read more

I love these guys! Very trustworthy, good at their job, always remember who we are when we show up. Their prices are also great. We won't go anywhere else. read more

I have an older Toyota that I dearly love and have taken good care of for 16 years. I have tried a variety of mechanics through the years -some good, some not so good. I have nothing but high praise for Ador and the team at American European Auto Clinic. I was having what I thought was a intermittent fuel injection problem. I dropped my car off Monday afternoon and received a diagnosis early Tuesday morning. The problem was a melted electrical part INSIDE the distributor, not an easy find. The repair was made promptly. When I picked up the car Ador took the time to show me the old parts and explain the work that was done- and the final charges for labor were LESS than estimated. Although the shop is a distance from my home- I will definitely return to them with future automotive concerns and highly recommend them to others. read more

I took the motor out of my 1976 Dodge Ramcharger to Ador to rebuild. It had over 300,000 miles on it and had some cracks around exhaust valve seats on one head. He found a replacement and finished the rebuild only one day late despite this setback. My truck purrs like a kitten now, better power and gas mileage, and it doesn't use oil. I have used Ador's services for other repairs and referred a friend who had a blown head gasket on his Subaru, among others. He is one of those rare mechanics who keeps his commitments, often comes in under estimate, and offers top-notch work. You really can't go wrong taking your car here for repair. read more
