This is a very nice local business in Jacksonville Beach that we stopped at and bought some cute hats, slippers, tshirts, and other things for the cold weather in Jax Beach. They have a good mix of souvenirs and regular beach wear, costume jewelry, purses, totes, flip-flops, sweatshirts, t-shirts, pants, kids clothing and soft toys. Their prices are very reasonable. The salesperson was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely return on our next trip. read more

I stopped in to Beachside swimwear in December, looking for some gifts to take home to my family in Ohio. I purchased a Jacksonville Beach beach towel, Christmas ornament, coozy and a beach bag. This was a gift to entice my family to come visit lol. Plus, I thought it would be different than most of the gifts we were exchanging. I purchased a Jacksonville Beach T-shirt for myself since I didn't have one. The service was great! They don't offer a local discount, but the employee signed me up for the rewards program. For every $100 you spend, you get a discount on your next purchase. Or you can save up your discount. This shop is locally owned, and they sell items from other locals. Live this! Local businesses supporting other local businesses. I am planning to go back in the Spring to check out their swimwear as that is their specialty. read more

I am basing my 5 star rating on two separate visits where I received top notch service. The first visit was just before Christmas when I visited to buy a few salt life shirts for out of towners. Not only did they help me find certain shirts but also offered to wrap the gifts for me. The second visit was today when I visit to buy a swimsuit. I've lost 50 pounds and haven't worn a bikini in over 6 years so to say I was nervous is an understatement!! Y'all these gals are so amazing. They got me set up in a room, checked on my during my search for the perfect suit, grabbed me different sizes and styles when a top or bottom just didn't work. Everything was great. Unfortunately for my wallet they were so great that I walked out with not one, not two but three gorgeous suits!! These are quality suits that you aren't going to find in the other shops. I was lucky enough to shop during their big sale so I got huge deals (instead of paying $120-$150+ per suit, I paid about $50-$60 per suit). My husband even found a suit (although I will say for guys suits, the store across the street has more selection...but again the quality here is better). They've won me over and put up with my wild 4 year old (he loves his new fidget spinner ty!!). read more

Wow. This swimsuit shop is amazing. Ridiculous selection of sexy styles you would be proud to wear on the beach in different cuts for those of us with less than perfect bodies. Plus, the prices were really good. I got a bikini top for $20 and a bottom for $15. I am a sucky shopper, but the ladies working there were extremely helpful and went searching the store for a suit that suited my body type. Highly recommended. it sucks that this is one of the only places on the beach that sells womens bikinis because you can't walk around and look without being harassed by the workers. literally wanted to buy a pair of bottoms they were on clearance for 20 dollars but definitely changed my mind after the creepy old lady literally ignored a customer trying to ask for help to run to me and ask me if i needed a fitting room. definitely don't recommend this place unless you cant find anywhere else to shop. read more

Although I saw a few things of interest I chose not to buy since the workers were more interested in following me around the store versus asking me if I needed help. I've got to say, this has got to be THE BEST swim shop I've ever encountered. It's swimsuits, souvenirs, shirts, cute bottoms and the kind of knick knacks that would keep my mother busy for a good hour. I came to Florida underestimating the warm Florida sun and the issues with traffic considering the Harley Davidson Biketoberfest that was in town. I was wearing tight Lululemon pants and a relatively tight top which lent to no breathing room whatsoever. After 6 blocks of walking down the boardwalk, meeting some fellow tourists from Illinois after helping their son with his scraped knee, I took their advice and looked for a beachside surf shop for a sundress. I walked into the largest and loudest store with the displays of matching bikinis and towels and immediately picked out a black and white halter top sundress and wore it out of the store much to the relief of my poor chafed legs and underarms. Unfortunately, after only 4 more blocks of beach coming, the bust came undone and suddenly I had the wrong kind of attention from far too many people. With one hand on my chest and the other clutching my iPod, I walked into the shop and asked if they had a safety pin. The woman I'm assuming was the daughter inquired why and once I released my hand, no more words were needed. They let me switch it out and even let me keep the first dress. I thought that was swell of them. So not only do I have two of the exact same sundresses now but I've got a great story to tell people of my vacation in Florida. read more

do i love beachside?! yes, i do. its rare to find a swimsuit shop that has swimsuits that fit everyyone. im tiiiny. a whopping 5 foot nothing tall & semi-busty -- its hard to find swimsuits that i can take myself seriously in, but beachside carries great brands that fit me : vix, vitamin a, etc. their prices arent the cheapest -- but their swimsuits' quality isnt the cheapest either. if you come into this place -- trust me, you will find the BEST swimsuit for yourself. the girls who work there are extremely helpful & sweet. beachside -- i love you. read more

Was throughly displeased at the treatment of customers by the staff..walked in to get a bottled water and some little trinkets and the moment I came through the door was followed up and down each aisle I walked down. Co suffering their where multiple customers in the store I wonder why I waa follwed??? Hmmm I'll let you come to your own conclusion...but they did not receive my money n will never receive my patronage. read more

They have the most terrible way of treating customers when there is a complaint. Even if a customer is wrong, it shouldn't take three people to gang up on the customer to argue them out and embarrass them. There are ways of handling situations so that both sides can settle with some dignity. Beachside does not possess the skill to manage a dispute. They do not have the courtesy to be informative of their return policies before a purchase is finalized. They post obscure signs that are hardly legible, and leave it to the customer to be lucky enough to notice them or not. If you complain, they simply point to those signs in defense, and go back to either not giving a darn about you, or glaring at you until you leave the store. After arguing with them enough, they finally pointed out the statement that prints out on their receipts: "NO REFUNDS. STORE CREDIT ONLY" You know what stinks about that? You have to buy something first in order to -get- a receipt, so you can find that out. How am I to know beforehand, when every common store offers full refunds, no questions asked? If I had known they do not perform full refunds on anything in their store, I would have thought twice about buying from there. There's nothing wrong with offering store credit. But discovering that only after reading the receipt shouldn't be the one and only way to find that out. For a first time visit, I was appalled. The Surf & Skate Surf Shop across the street will be my shop of choice from now on. I will never step foot in Beachside again. read more

This place has a huge selection of 2-piece swimsuits for women of all sizes. They have an extensive selection in large cup sizes and the staff is extremely knowledgeable about the cuts, cup sizes and features of each swimsuit. Most of the swimsuits I tried on ranged from $80-$140. I ended up with one that was $140 but I think it was one of the most expensive ones. Sure, it's not cheap, but I can tell it will last me for a long time! read more

Yes, they did have a lot of swimwear but I was totally annoyed by the staff. My besrfriend and I went into the shop to look for new swimsuits for an upcoming cruise we are going on together. I got the vibe from the staff the WHOLE time that they thought we were going to steal something, I guess because I look young? I am only 21 years old. They paid way more attention to the older women in the store shopping for their daughters. I guess they figured the 'moms' were going to be paying customers, buying something for their little brats. As I was looking they wouldn't give me any breathing room and were right on my a** showing OTHER women the merchandise. When I came out of the fittingroom and told the working I did not like my swinsuit, she took it from me and gave it to another girl to try on. read more

I went in to purchase a suit that I saw in the window and fell in love with.. Once I tried it on that all changed, it looked awful on me. The ladies in the shop were more than helpful in explaining the different suit styles, and bringing suits to me that were made for my shape and style (big hips/butt, DD chest). If you are anything like me shopping for a bathing suit is not a fun shopping trip. I'd rather go to the dentist! But This shop is totally different from the rest. They offer a great selection in all shapes and sizes so it made it a lot easier to select a flattering suit. I selected a few things to try on. Kim let me in the dressing room and mentioned if I let her see me in a suit or two she could help find the most flattering style for me. So I tried on a few things and started the usual getting frustrated because things didn't fit so I asked Kim to find me something. She knows that store and the lines they carry so well!!! She brought me several things to try, I walked out with not only one suit I love but Two suits and three dresses. This is THE place to go for a swimsuit! Ask for Kim she is AWESOME!!!! read more

The manager will flat out call you a liar if you have ever used the restroom there. He will say that no one ever uses the restroom in his shop. I was down there in July and one of his employees let my 5 year old daughter go to the restroom. Well I just went back over labor day weekend and I had to go really bad so I asked an employee if I could go and she said to ask the manager. I couldnt find him so I went. He later found me and that is when he basically called me a liar and that no one ever went back there. My wife and I were about to purchase $100 worth of stuff but he had to show his A$$ so we went down the street to the Tiki Hut to spend our money. Beachside won't get another nickle from me. All I did was take a leak......its not like I pooped in his floor. I hope they go out of business for being so rude to their customers. read more
